Icing on the Cake

Adam was waking us up right away almost every morning. He couldn’t get enough of the playroom. He just loved the Barbies so much. How suppressed was he when it came to toys before he came here?

Anastasia would bring action figures, the more “masculine” toys into the dollhouses. It was really fun to see them break the tradition gender roles, and I knew it drove Julia crazy. She couldn’t’ stand it, but I could tell she was biting her tongue.

Frankly, we were being very tolerant in letting her even be here.

During lunch, we told Julia that we were meeting with Calum’s sister. Julia said she would watch the kids in the playroom.

I really hoped she wouldn’t take away Adam’s Barbies. Or Anastasia’s action figures.

“Should I make some drinks for us?” I asked Calum after lunch.

“Yeah, sure.” Calum responded.

“What sounds good?” I asked.

“Pink lemonade sounds good.”

"A good girl is like sweet lemonade on a hot day." I said.

"Wow, blast from the past." Calum said. "What made you think of that?"

"I have no idea." I admitted.

Right before one o’clock, I made pink lemonade for us to sip on while meeting with Calum’s sister. We decided we would chat out by the pool, and told her to come in the back entrance by the pool.

She texted Calum saying she was on her way, and we were outside, waiting for her.

Mali is honestly so pretty; she is goals. She came walking in with a very Forever 21 outfit. She came in walking with a guy, holding his hand.

When I saw him, my stomach dropped.
