Icing on the Cake
Chapter Two Hundred
~200~
Without having the control to stop myself, horrified screams flew out of my mouth.
Almost everyone still in the event room ran outside and made a large circle around Adam. I was in the middle of the circle, kneeling down by Adam, supporting his head so it wouldn’t be on the hard street pavement.
Pretty soon, an ambulance showed up and paramedics started running towards us. Two paramedics ran to the middle of the big people circle where Adam and I were.
“Sir, we need you to back away now!” A paramedic said very firmly.
It was like I couldn’t process any information. Calum came up from behind me and pulled me away.
Then I saw the paramedics put an oxygen mask over Adam’s face and circle around him. I tried very hard to believe that they really knew what they were doing and that they would be able to save Adam.
“What happened?” Julia asked us desperately with tears in her eyes.
As soon as I saw that she had tears in her eyes, mine started watering, compromising my vision. I felt like I might faint.
Calum was holding on to me to hold me up, sensing that I might faint. I kept looking around, seeing everyone’s concerned faces and watering eyes. Every second felt like a year while the paramedics were running around Adam.
After a few more moments, two of the paramedics looked at each other, and then they all suddenly stopped.
Gently, they removed the oxygen mask from Adam’s face, and placed a blanket lightly over his body.
Notes
OMG I'm sorry I've been MIA. This is the climax of the story! I've had this ending planned since the very beginning!
Let me know what you think :-) (Also, feel free to let me know how you've been doing; it's been too long!)
My heart, Oof.
