Icing on the Cake
Chapter One Hundred and Ninety-Four
~194~
“I can’t wait to marry you tomorrow.” Calum said to me by the door of the restaurant as the rehearsal dinner was winding down and people started leaving.
“I can’t wait to marry you either.” I said back.
“Remember in high school-“
“Don’t.” I said half jokingly, half seriously, but mostly in a funny sarcastic voice.
Calum let out a little laugh. “Think about how far we’ve come, from me tickling you in your living room to our rehearsal dinner.”
“I’ve always been in love with you.” I confessed. “Even then. Even as children. Knowing you loved me to made me the happiest person in the world.”
I suddenly stopped talking immediately. “Fuck, I’m directly quoting my vows.”
“Fuck I need to write those!” Calum exclaimed.
“You haven’t written them yet??” I asked back, in disbelief.
“No, I’ve written them.” Calum said, thinking he was funny. His smile cracked across his face, the cute smile where his eyes got really squinty and adorable.
“I love your smile.” I said. “I can’t wait to see it everyday for the rest of our lives.”
“Are you quoting your vows again?”
“Dammit, yes!”
Ashton and Michael came up to us.
“Time to separate you two.” Michael said to us.
Ashton took Calum and Calum would stay at his place, and Michael would take me and I would stay at his place. We were doing the traditional straight wedding ritual of not seeing each other until the wedding.
“I love you!” I shouted as Calum walked away.
“I love you too!”
