Icing on the Cake
Chapter One Hundred and Eighty-Two
~182~
Calum, the twins, Alina, and myself were out by the pool area. It was sunny and warm; a perfect day for swimming!
I still wasn’t having great feelings about Alina.
Julia was upstairs watching Gabriel.
Alina was sitting in a tank top and shorts, laying in a chair by the pool with sunglasses on. Hate to stereotype, but she was looking like your stereotypical bitch.
And to be honest, that’s sort of how I felt towards her.
After we were done swimming, we showered off and Calum and I started to make dinner downstairs in the kitchen when Julia approached us.
“My sister says that you are mean to her.” Julia said.
“Okay…” I said. “How so?”
“You…how you say, snap at her?” Julia said.
“I did not snap at her.” I explained. “I nicely told Alina that us three are the parents here and that she doesn’t get to have an opinion on how we raise our children.”
“I think you should treat her better.” Julia shot back.
“We haven’t mistreated Alina.” Calum defended. “We gave her, literally, a free ticket here and she is now accusing us of mistreating her?”
Calum immediately pulled out his phone and started typing furiously.
“What are you doing?” Julia asked frustrated, upset that he suddenly droped the conversation to go on his phone.
“I’m finding Alina her own place.” Calum said.
