Icing on the Cake
Chapter One Hundred and Sixty-Two
~162~
We immediately made Julia an appointment to see a doctor to get everything she could possibly need.
Calum and I were like the overprotective fathers who would barely even let her walk from the kitchen to the living room without asking her if she needed help.
If it was up to us, she would’ve gone and laid down in a safe bed for nine months.
One day, we decided to tell the twins that they were going to have a new brother or sister.
They were both very excited! They were both jumping up and down, and they hugged each other, and then they hugged Julia.
Their excitement was soon turned into energy while playing, and all five of us were playing in the play room.
We were a family, and the family was about to grow.
“I can’t believe they’re about to be four.” Julia said.
The twins were about to turn four years old. Their birthday was just around the corner, and we knew we should do something special for it.
“What’s this called, Daddy?” Anastasia asked as she came up Calum me with a Lego brick. The twins were responding surprisingly well to our tutoring and lessons on teaching them English.
“It’s called a Lego.” Calum answered.
“See, it’s a Lego!” Anastasia said to Adam.
“Daddy,” Adam said as he walked over to me and plopped himself down on my lap. As he looked up at me, he asked, “Where do babies come from?”
