Chapter One Hundred Six

“What are you doing?” I asked Calum the next morning as I walked downstairs and saw him on the phone in the kitchen.
“I’m on hold with our lawyer.” Calum said. “I’m figuring out who figured out Julia’s, Anastasia’s and Adam’s immigration record discrepancy.”
“You’re trying to see if Brock really was the one who contacted the police?”
“Yeah.” Calum said to me, then switched his attention to the phone call. “Okay, thank you.”
“What did they tell you?” I asked.
“The information was leaked from an employee that had to have had access to records regarding insurance information of employees.” Calum said.
“So someone working at the hospital looked at our insurance information when we brought Adam in to the emergency room?”
“Yeah.” Calum said. “And Kyle is trying to figure out who.”
“Will the hospital give him the employment information?” I asked.
“They will if he can prove that there was conspiracy to commit a discriminatory hate crime about to men who adopted children, maybe.” Calum paused. “Damn I’m using so many legal terms, I should be a lawyer.”
“Oh my God.” I said. “Look what day it is.”
“What day?”
“It’s time to meet with the wedding planner!”
My heart, Oof.
