Debbie POV

I took a deep and long breath before telling Angel and Niall about my situation, but before I do that Niall wanted to bring us all together as a family to say something important.

Niall: “So my wonderful family I have some pretty important stuff to tell you all, when I go back which will be in 5 days I am going to Iraq to fight a war. I will not be sure whether I will be returning back in one piece or not, but please I need you to bring strong for me and carry on with your lives above all I need you to pray for my safety.”

Angel, Rose and I group hugged Niall and told him everything was going to be okay with us now it was my turn to break down the news.

Me: “Guys I have something important to tell you as well, the doctors found out earlier this week that I have cervical cancer stage 2, it is not too severe yet I will be doing chemotherapy soon as well. Angel it breaks my heart as an auntie to not see my niece grow up into a beautiful girl, it really does break my heart. Niall you are a warrior for the country thank you for serving our country and still be a good father and a loving husband. Rose oh my God ever since you were a little girl I knew something special was standing in your life, you are one of the best lawyers I have ever encountered I love you all with all my heart believe me.”

The whole family gave me a warming hug and the support was so overwhelming, I am so glad I found a family like this I was always lonely growing up I never was married or had kids. The feeling of having a family was just an imagination that was before Rose told me to visit Ireland, that is where I found a family and that is where I learnt what love is. My whole life I was abused and lonely, they really did save my life and I owe it to them.
