World So Cold

The next day was obviously school and I learned that Raleigh was going to the same school as me, thank god now I'll have a friend. Or she could just be an axe murderer trying to be nice so it be easier to cut my head off. Nah.


I walked through the gates and looked around and saw her sitting on a bench going through her back pack and I ran to her.


"Hiiii" I exclaimed as she looked up and plastered a huge grin on her face.


"Thank god we actually go to the same school. I thought I was gonna be one of those new girls who thinks the nerds are cool and becomes friends with them" she laughed and so did I.


I glance over to the side where Gabby, Maria, and Ariel were smirking as they walked past.


"Are those bitches I should stay away from" Raleigh asks making me laugh.


"Oh they're more than bitches, the blonde one kissed my boyfriend" I scoffed and she raised her eyebrows.


"Oh so you are taken, may I meet him" she asks all polite making me giggle.


"I'll introduce you to the whole crew" I suggested standing up and she follows.


We walk inside and I look around to find the boys. I spot them all leaning against the lockers talking. And wow, they got over what happened with Ashton because there looked like there was no tension at all between them (A/N that was not sarcasm, I just didn't know how to word that).


"Yoo" I shouted running towards them pulling Raleigh along. "I see the hair is blue today Mikey"


"Yep" he said popping the p.


"Hey Li, who's this" Luke asking smiling at Raleigh.


"I'm Raleigh but please just call me Leigh" she says. "And is this the boyfriend" she points noticing me getting close to Luke.


"Oh um yeah" I blush and he laughs.


"I'm gonna guess you met her at the mall, he place you ditched me to go after we-" Luke pauses. "Um never mind" he continues and everybody just starts laughing.


"Aww you guys frickle frackl-"


"CALUM!!!" I shout but they just keep laughing.


After a few minutes of talking I notice Michael stealing glances at Leigh and her smiling at him.


"We have to do something about this" I say walking over to the boys and point at Michael and Leigh deep in conversation and her occasionally blushing and him smiling. Well they both liked dying their hair so why don't they just become boyfriend and girlfriend, get married, and have 12 kids. I don't know where that same from I'm so sorry.


"You know that you just said that out loud right" Ashton points out chuckling.


"Well I do now" I shrugged.


"We gotta lock them in a room together and see what happens, just make sure we leave a spare condom in there" Luke laughs and I playfully slap his arm.


"We are not doing that" I say sternly and he shits up (A/N that was a typo but I found it really funny so I'm gonna leave it there).


"Okay well, I'm going to class now because we found ourselves talking about sex twice in the last five minutes" Calum says running into the classroom where I would soon be joining along, along with Leigh to I think.


The bell rang and we instantly shot up.


"Okay well I gotta get to class, but you guys should come to my house later" Leigh suggests and we all nod.


The day goes by quickly especially because of her being there and soon enough we walk into her house.


"Hey we're gonna go in the basements cause my mom doesn't like people up here" she says guiding us to the steps.


We walk down and all plop on the couch. I elbow Luke signaling Mikey and Leigh sitting next to each other.


"We should play truth or dare" Ashton shouts.


"I remember the last time we played truth or dare with you guys" Luke smirks and looks at me.


"Yea" I said looking down to hide my blush. "But I go first. Michael, truth or dare" I say turning to him.


"Dare" he says.


"I dare you too, take off all your clothes and run up and down the block twice" I smirk and everybody starts laughing.


"Do you guys have to watch" he whines.


"I don't want to, but yeah" I laugh and Leigh grabs a towel handing it to him and he goes to the bathroom.


"Leigh, I can swear to fucking food right now that he likes you" Ashton says out of nowhere. She blushes right away.


"I was supposed to say that" I whine. "And we all know you like him too" I say before anybody else speaks.


She remains silent until Michael comes out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist.


We all go outside and Michael stands on the sidewalk. He drops the towel and starts running up and down the block as we all laugh and I cover my eyes since the only dick I want to see is the one belonging to the person standing right next to me (it's Luke).


Michael finishes and grabs the towel and puts it back on.


"Liana I am getting you back for this" Michael says and I laugh.


We all go inside and continue the game until Leigh's mom made us leave.


I sense a new group blooming.


~Two Weeks Later~


Leigh slept over last night because I haven't been feeling to good lately and she was helping me out.


As soon as I woke up I ran to the bathroom to throw up. Leigh instantly followed and put my hair in a ponytail.


"Thanks" I say wiping my mouth.


"Are you sure you're okay" she asks and I nod.


"Ya I'm probably just sick that's all" I say grabbing a toothbrush and quickly brushing my teeth.


"I don't know Li, you've been like this for a week now" she says.


"What are you saying" I ask nervously.


"When was the last time you and Luke, you know" she just nods not wanting to say the word.


"About two weeks ago, why" I say.


"Did you miss your period" she continues.


"Only by like four days but that's happened many times before for even longer so I shouldn't really worry about that" I say walking back into my room.


"Liana, I know you're probably gonna be a little mad at me for this, but I brought a few pregnancy tests, I really think you should take them" scrunched up her face.


"What would Luke say" I mumble.


"I'm sure he'll be happy, just take it" she says before I walk into the bathroom and follow the instructions.


A few minutes later Leigh brought the test out to my room for me covering where it said + or -.


I grabbed it and closed my eyes. I was unsure on how I would react either way. Or how Luke would.


I opened my eyes slowly and my heart dropped, but I smiled too. Leigh looked at it too and pulled me into a hug.


"Congrats Li" she hugged me even tighter. "I'm happy for you" she smiled.


"What would people think" I mutter.


"Who the hell cares, all that matter is that you're happy" we both smile.


"But there's still Luke" I mutter.


"He'll be happy, I promise you" she assures and I just nod.
