World So Cold

I spent the rest of the day crying, not knowing what to do at all. All I could think about was what everybody would think, and what Luke would think.


I basically cried myself to sleep.


"Hun get up, gotta go to school" my mum shouts from behind the door.


"Yeah yeah" I mumble throwing my blankets off of me and getting up.


I walked to my mirror and stared into it. I pulled up my shirt and looked at my stomach.


It's hard to believe there's actually a human being inside of there. Wow.


There's another loud knock on my door.


"I'm coming!" I shout.


"It's Angelica, just let me in for a sec" she says. I run to the door and open it. She walks in and sits on my bed.


"I heard you and your friend talking yesterday morning, are you r-"


"Yes" I cut her off. "And I don't know what to do" I sigh.


"Well you sure are not gonna tell mum that's for sure" she laughs and I fake one too. "Does Luke know" she asks and I shake my head.


"I'm gonna at least try to tell him today. I would wait but I know that he'll be mad that I didn't tell him right away" I say and she nods.


"Okay, I'm always here though" she says putting a hand on my back. "But right now mum wants me to go fill out college shit" she laughs. She waited a year after high school to start college so if I even go, we would be in the same grade. Okay I just realized that made no sense whatsoever.


"Kay" I mumble and grab a pair of clothes and shoo her out of the room. I put them on and run downstairs.


Since I didn't want to make contact with my mom, I ran out of the house quickly and saw Leigh's car outside the door.


"Thanks" I say opening the door.


"No prob, you gonna tell Luke" she asks.


"I don't have a choice" I sigh.


The car ride goes by annoying quickly and we spot Luke by the gates talking with Calum.


Leigh parks the car and she pulls me to them.


"Hey easy" I say.


"Oh right, sorry" she says right before we stop in front of the two boys.


"Hello ladies" Calum laughs and then Michael and Ashton join us.


"Hey" me and Leigh say at the same time.


She ran next to Michael and they walked away together.


"I swear to god if they don't end up together I will kill someone" Ashton jokes and we all laugh.


"She likes him, a lot" I say.


"Yea, Michael likes her too. I don't get how they don't see it" Calum sighs and I giggle.


The rest of the school day went by fast since I didn't have many classes with Luke. But that meant that the time I had to think about what to say to him was even less.


I jumped slightly as somebody put their hands over my eyes.


"Guess who" the person joked.


"Hmm, Harry Styles" I joke and Luke walks in front of me.


"Your bad at guessing games" he fake pouts and I giggle.


"Because your any better" I say sarcastically. "Whatever, anyways Luke. I kinda have something really important to tell you" I say nervously and he furrows his eyebrows.


"Are you okay" he asks walking to my side.


"It's just- Lets just go to your house" I say.


"Li, your really scaring me here" he says holding my hand.


"I'm scaring my self too" I mutter under my breath.


He drives me to his house and sits me down on his bed.


"So what's going on" he asks concerned.


"Okay Luke, I honestly don't know how you're gonna feel about this. I spent the whole day and whole night rehearsing in my head how I was gonna say this to you" I say quietly. "You might want to leave me, and-"


"Wait hold up, I would never leave you" he says putting his hand on mine.


"Well since I'm to chicken to say this, I'm gonna sugar code it" I say and he nods. "About two weeks ago" I start and he nods, "we had sex" I say and his face turns red.


"And I didn't use a fucking condom and oh" he cuts himself off and puts his head in his hands. "And you're-"


"I'm pregnant Luke" I sigh.


"O-oh" he chokes out.


"I'm sorry" I say as a tear falls down my face. He looks up and wipes it off.


"It's not your fault, it's mine" he says and I just sit there. "When did you find out" he asks.


"Yesterday, only you, Leigh, and Angelica know" I say and he nods.


"I mean, we graduate high school in 2 months, you wouldn't start showing by then, plus I don't think either of us wanted to go to college" he chuckles and I smile.


"Would you leave me though" I whisper.


"Never Li, I'm happy about this" he smiles and hugs me.


"Thank god" I laugh and so does he.


"Okay but we gotta tell the rest of our peoples so we could bet on whether it's gonna be a boy or girl" he exclaims making me giggle.


"Leigh already called boy" I say and he nods.


"I call girl" he smiles.


"So do I"


~One week later~


~Luke's pov~


We all met up at my house so we could share the news with the rest of our friends. I was pretty excited about this, Liana seemed really nervous though.


"So whats so serious that we all had to get together for you guys to say" Ashton asks and me and Liana share looks.


"Wait I'm gonna interrupt with news of my own" Michael says. "I asked Leigh out and she said yes" he said and we all applauded.


"What" Leigh asks smiling.


"We have been waiting for this for like weeks now" Liana laughs.


"Okay wait now to the news me and Liana have" I shout over the laughter.


Leigh gives us an encouraging look and everybody stares at us.


"Oh so she knows but not us" Calum says and fake pouts.


"Yeah, she found out before I did" Liana laughs.


"So, we are gonna sound really stupid. But Liana might be sorta kinda... pregnant" I say tilting my head and scrunching my face.


The room went dead silent before everybody went all up into screams and cheers and applauds.


The boys ran up to hug me and Liana and it seemed like we were both getting uncomfortable.


"Okay, leave them alone now" Leigh speaks up.


"Fine" the boys huff.


"This is so cool though" Ashton shouts.


"For you guys, me on the other hand. Uh he he he" she fake laughs nervously.


The boys look at each other before looking back at Liana. "EW" they all shout making me, Li, and Leigh laugh.


"Babies" I mutter.


"Okay since we are all sharing news, I have some of my own" Ashton says and all of our attention turns to him. "I met a girl the other day, her name is Emily. And I really like her" he says and we all smile.


"I'm guessing she doesn't go to our school" I say.


"No, she graduated high school early, she's in college now" Ashton says.


"If she's that smart, why is she with you" Michael jokes.


"Haha very funny" he laughs back.


"So when may we meet this girl" Leigh asks.


"She's supposed to come over my house tomorrow, you guys could come too" he says and we nod.


"Aww, I'm gonna be alone now" Calum pouts and we all laugh.
