Stay With Me

Seventeen

Lou offered to watch Tori tonight while Niall takes Jana out, as planned before their talk in the kitchen a mere hour ago. Jana gulps as she watches Niall's gaze on her transfer to the waiter who smiles at them.''What can I get you Ma'am?''He asks Jana. ''Just a water.''She mumbles. ''You sir?'' ''Water.''Niall's voice cracks and he clears his throat as the waiter walks away.

Jana has had the thought on her mind since he said it..''and Tori has my last name'' She can't understand why. But yet, she doesn't try to question it. Niall rubs his foot against hers under the table as he sits across from her. She looks up at him. He smiles gently.

''Anything you wanna talk about?''He asks and sips his water, gently sitting the glass down-for the prevention of breaking any more today. "Um..a few things.''She mumbles.''M'kay, what?''He asks and leans his elbows on the table. ''Something you said earlier.''She says and glances up at him. His eyes focused on her face. His lips half way rolled in and he nods, telling her to go ahead.

''You said something about....your last name.''She whispers softly.''Yeah.I did..''He smiles slightly as he sits back in his seat.''Why did you say that?''She asks him. ''Because,I meant it.''He says gently allowing his voice to sink into her, he knows she functions better when he talks sweetly and slow.

''Why do you want that, though?''She asks him. He gulps slightly and sighs.''I love you Jana. And I love Tori. I want us to be together forever..and I want to commit myself to you and I want to promise you I'll do anything for you..and that I'll be there as long as you want me to be.''He coughs lightly.

''And I really feel that way about it.''he adds.''Why Tori..?''She asks him and looks up to see a slight smile on his face. She looks back down at her hands in her lap. ''Because..l already told you.''He reminds her.She thinks back shortly. But then remembers.

''There's another thing.''She mumbles.''Okay, what is it?''He asks her gently. She looks around the room noticing people starring and whispering as they look over at her and Niall.''Can you sit over here?''She asks and pats the empty spot on the booth. He nods and slides his cup over and gets up. He sits down and takes her hand.

She squeezes it tight as she says,''If you feel that way..then..then why not have Tori call you..that?''She says.''You mean..for Tori to call me..Daddy?''He whispers. She nods lightly.''That's not my decision..''He mumbles.''I know..Its mine..and I'm saying..its okay with me..''Jana's response makes Niall smile.

''I'll talk to her about it.''Jana adds and he nods.''I'm sorry about my outburst earlier today.''He sighs.''Its fine..it really showed my a few things about you and how you feel about things.''She says.''Good..that was the point of it.''he laughs lightly.

''Niall..kiss me.''She says as she notices him staring at her parted lips.''What?''he asks, you could hear the shock in his tone.''I said..kiss me.''She repeats.''Why?'' ''Because, you want to.''She smiles and looks over at him. ''i do.''He winks slightly and leans down to her.

He places a hand on her right cheek and the other on her waist. They both close their eyes and as he leans to her, Jana can feel his warm breath hit her lips. Softly, he presses his lips to hers and gently slides his tongue over her bottom lip. She parts her lips lightly and he moves his tongue through the small gap.

Niall feels his tongue touch hers and she puts her hand on the back of his neck. He smiles into the kiss as she does this. But, sadly, she pulls away. Niall leans back, only a tad though.''Did I do something wrong?"He whispers.''No..I could feel people staring.''she mumbles.

''We'll have more privacy at home.''He says and she nods gently.She notices he has pink lipstick on his lips, but she doesn't say anything.She thinks its cute..

Today has been a roller coaster ride for her..
