When Two Worlds Collide
Ch. 17 The Beach Part 2
Lyric’s P.O.V.
“Ok we’re here.” Louis said parking the car on the beach. I unlocked the door and went over niall and ran to the ocean. I threw my head up and screamed
“Whooooo whooooo.” I didn’t care if people stared at me or anything I was at the place where I always came to free my mind especially when my parents died. I would take the bus on Friday and leave the beach on Sunday. I did that for four years. I stood there closed my eyes and inhaled the scent of the ocean. It was so peaceful until Liam came up behind me and picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.
“Liam put me down.” I said laughing and playfully hitting his back. Liam finally put me down and did so at the tent that the boys put up thank god they didn’t get hurt.
“Ok let’s go into the water.” harry said removing his shirt. And we all followed. The boys removed their shirts and I removed my top and shorts. I turned to the boys and what I saw surprised me. A lot.
“damn.” I said with my mouth hanging open
“Like what you see.” Louis said wiggling his eyebrows. I slightly blushed and walked towards Harry and Zayn. I poked Zayn and Harry’s tattoos and shuddered
“What” Zayn asked slightly amused
“How the heck did I not know about all of the tattoos you guys have and how the heck do you get them all.’” I said
“we thought you knew. And we got them the same way you did.”
“Yeah I know but I meant how you handle it I cried for two days after I got mine and I’m pretty sure you guys didn’t cry.”
“Well how old were you.” Louis asked
“I was 15.”
“That’s why.” Louis said nodding
“Where is yours anyway.” Liam asked
“Oh it’s under my arm.” I said. Niall came up to me and picked up my arm.
“No its not.” He said
“It got it where my sports bra, swim suits, and bikini tops and stuff would cover it since it’s really personal hardly anyone knows I have a tattoo. And it’s kinda small so yeah.” I said. And the boys nodded
“Ok well...” I said not finishing my sentence while I jumped on Niall's back. “Ok go Niall.” I said
“What, what are you talking about.” He asked confused. I sighed and shook my head.
“I meant to the ocean.” I said pointing to it
“Oh” was all he said before he took off running at full speed to the sea. When he got to it he tripped over his own feet and fell taking me with him. I jumped up out of the water and looked for Niall but I couldn’t find him. I was about to run deeper in until I felt a pair of hands on my waist. Niall spun me around to face him.
“Did I tell you how hot you look.” He said with a smirk playing on his lips.
“Ditto” I said before I jumped on him and we both fell into the water again.
Harry’s P.O.V.
Lyric and Niall were on the shore kissing so I thought I would have some fun with that. I nudged Liam and Zayn and once I had their attention I pointed towards the kissing couple. Liam told Louis and them both got a bucket full of water. Me and Zayn decided to throw sand at them. Zayn and I bent down and grabbed a handful of sand and we all ran towards them. Zayn and I threw the sand and Liam and Louis dumped the water on them.
“You guys are so dead.” Lyric said getting up and running towards us. Zayn and I ran to the ocean and picked up more sand and threw it at her. Mine hit her face and Zayn’s landed on her chest. Me and Zayn ran towards the shore where we rolled on the floor laughing. Minutes later Lyric came over to us and stood in front of us with her hands behind her back.
“You think that was funny huh. Then get a load of this.” She said before bending down to our level and placing a crab and seaweed on both of our faces. After me and Zayn were able to get rid of the crabs we played volleyball. It was me, Louis and Niall against Liam, Lyric and Zayn and I had a feeling we were gonna win.
“Sucks to suck.”Lyric said to us when we lost 19 to 5. After we played volleyball we got hungry. Niall and I pulled out the cooler and passed around the cans of soda while lyric made us sandwiches.
Lyric’s P.O.V.
*a couple of hours later*
I was in my tent with my Niall it was about 1 am and I couldn’t sleep. I slowly but carefully moved Niall's hands from my waist and placed them by his side. I unzipped the zipper and got out of the tent. I walked to the shore and laid down and stared at the stars in the nights sky. It was beautiful out at night I could see the stars clear as day. I started to look for constellations. I saw the big dipper, the small dipper, Ara, Cetus and Pavo. I kept staring into the night’s sky and I got so caught up in my thoughts I didn’t even notice Harry lay down next to me.
“What are you doing here?” I asked as I turned to face him
“I couldn’t sleep and you.”
“I couldn’t sleep either.” I replied as I went back to face the sky.
“So have you seen any constellations?” Harry asked
“Yeah look you can see the big dipper, the small dipper, Ara, Cetus and Pavo.” I said pointing to each of them.
“Wow” Harry whispered “it’s beautiful out at night.”
“I know I used to come every weekend after my parents died just to look at the stars at night.” I said
“How” he asked
“The bus is a magical thing haz” I chuckled a little at the end and he did too
“Hey can I ask you something”
“Of course anything” I said
“Why did you get your tattoo ‘cause you said it was personal I was just wondering you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to though.” Harry said
“Umm remember when I lashed out and had I total meltdown. And when I was explaining to you guys everything that I skipped middle school.”
“Yeah” he said turning to face me
“well my only friend died in a car accident and she used to always say “some stars need darkness to shine” she always said it every time I cried or when tears threaten to spill over she said that to me so I guess that when she died I had actually lost everyone that meant the world to me.” I turned to look back at harry. “And what sucked even more was that I was there when she died. So that very next day I skipped school and got the tattoo. And I even got it in her hand writing she wrote it once and I kept it I folded it up and kept in my pocket everyday everywhere I went it was in my pocket. So when I got to the tattoo shop and I pulled it out and showed it to artist and I got it tattooed.” I pulled up my bikini top and showed him (yes she was still wearing it. But she has shorts on. Just thought I’d let you know)
Harry sighed and looked down at the ground.
“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have asked.” He said slightly shaking his head.
“Harry its ok it happened years ago it’s ok” I said giving him a reassuring smile. We sat there and continued to look at the sky pointing out what some of the stars looked like. Harry even told me what some of tattoos meant. I think in that moment we became closer as friends. Wait no I consider harry a brother now. I love harry as friend, an amazing friend and I think he knew that. After a while we started to get tired so we got up dusted off and walked towards the tents. Before we both went back to our own tents I gave him a hug.
“I love you man.” I told him as I pulled back and his lips curved into a smile
“I love you too” he said chuckling at the end. I gave him another quick hug and a peck on the cheek and went back to my tent and I drifted off into a deep sleep.
