-Alex's POV-


“Sorry if it’s not that great, Margret used to do all the cooking” my dad chuckles as he sets down a dish of roast chicken along with potatoes and carrots.



The three of us were seated in the usual family dining room with Luke next to me, while my dad was facing the opposite of Luke



“Dig in”



After we all place food on our plates and the awkward silence starts to kick in, my thigh jolts up as i feel luke rest his left hand upon my thigh, rubbing up and down, in a calming manner



He rests his hand just below where my dress ends upon my knee, and i rest my hand on top of his hand. We both find it difficult to eat with one hand but in the end, we manage.



“So luke” my dad starts, swallows his food then continues “what are your intentions with my daughter?”



“Daaaad” i whine



“what? Its a simple question” he says



“don’t worry alex” Luke looks at me, then looks back at my dad “my intentions, sir, with your daughter is for one simple thing.. To make her happy”



The spark in my heart goes off



“So i guess you’ve taken her out by now?” My dad asks



“Well yeah of corse. I mean she is my....” Luke starts




“He’s my boyfriend dad”



“Oh” he says, with no emotion



“Umm i know i should of told you sooner dad but-”



“No no its fine” he says, still with no emotion. Is he happy about this, is he mad? I will never know



“I know i should have come to ask you first Mr Jones”



“No Luke honestly its fine as long as you don’t hurt her, and please call my Gary”



Luke nods, and silence takes over again.



Until, my dad speaks up again



“So Luke, how are your grades?”




“Pretty well sir, mostly B’s” Luke lies. He gets mostly d’s and he got his first b after the chemistry project we did together.



Come to think of it, if Luke and i were never chemistry partners or if he didn’t sit next to me that day, then we probably wouldn’t be where we are right now

“And what do you plan to do with your life??”




my dad must have a pen and paper hidden under the table.. like where are these questions coming from!?



“Daaaaad” i whine again



“What? Everyone should have a life plan especially at the age of 18” he pauses “you are 18 right luke?” he asks



“Yes sir. And my life goal is the be playing in my band for as long as i can”



“Hmmm a band, impressive” my dad smiles before plopping a roasted carrot into his mouth



“They’re really good dad” i smile, proud of my boyfriend’s ambition



“What type of music do you play?”



For the next minute or so my dad and Luke ramble on about music. It turns out that my dad was a huge nirvana fan and he said that luke is welcome anytime to talk about music with him



“Look luke, im sorry if Margret and I have ever judged you, but seeing as lovely as you are and how much you like alex i think I will have to meet your family sometime. I mean if they are just as nice as you are then i think we could get along” My dad says.



I mentally face palm because i haven’t told my dad and Luke’s mum and dad



“Oh dad-“



“Ahh my mum is not around anymore and my dad was never in the picture anyways” Luke scratches the back of his neck



“Oh, well im sorry to hear that son”



And then we go back to awkward silence

“Hey while i do the dishes do you two wanna watch a movie?” my dad suggests



“Ok” i say



Once my dad disappears into the kitchen i once again drag Luke upstairs into my room



“What are you doing?” he asks



“Finishing what we started” i say then quickly attached my lips to his



I pushed luke gently down on my bed then sat on his lap. I am indeed inexperirance and have no idea at what to do in these situations but, i give it a go



“Wow you’re so hot” he murmed between kisses



“Thank you so much for this” i say



“For what?”



“For the dinner and for getting along with my dad, i know that he is a handful”



“Nah he’s a good guy



“Better then my dad anyways” he mumbles the last part, but i still hear.



“I love you so much Luke”



“I love you so much Alex”



He leans down, slightly tilting me head up, then kisses me again. He caresses my cheek while i play with his hair



No one ever kisses me like Luke does. In fact no one has ever kissed me besides Luke.



He was gentle, yet aggressive. Passionate yet intense



Every kiss and moment I share with him i feel like i have millions of butterflies in the stomach and electricity in my veins.



Luke lays back and i go rolling over him, so i am on top



Our lips moved in sync and our bodies were presses together . Lukes hand trailed up and down the sides on my body, playing with the hem of my dress



I surprise myself and Luke by laying up, so my knees were on either side of him, and start to pull my dress upwards



“Woah” is all he says as he stops my hand that was raises up my dress



“What?” i almost frown



“Alex you don’t have to do that.”



I frown “ i just thought....”



“that’s my job to undress you baby” he smirks




“OH” i face palm and he continues my job of pulling my dress up.



I slip off my converse while at it, and once im done luke lays me down on his chest, stroking my arm



“You are so fucking beautiful, and you’re all mine” he murmurs in my hair



A few moments of silence pass as i lay almost bare on top of Luke’s chest. I make a mental note of buying more interesting underwear instead of boring plain colour ones that i have if Luke is planning to do this more often.



“Alex” he says



“hmm”



“I wanna try something”

Soooorrrryyyy but i had like no motivation to write this chapter but once i started i was having so much fun writing the dinner scene. It was so relatable because my dad is exactly the same asking thousandsssss of questions to poor guys that have to suffer and put up with it.
