☆ Chapter 26 ☆
*Alex's POV*
“bye beautiful” Luke waves as he leans on his back of his car, as i walk up the footpath to my house.
“Bye Alexxxx” Michael cheers
"Bye mumbles ashton
After breakfast Luke planned on taking me home knowing what my dad would be like, and the other boys decided to tag along.
They didn’t ask too much about what happened between me and Luke in his bedroom but they pretty much caught onto us, as Luke and I couldn’t stop exchanging the three words the whole car ride.
“Wait Alex?!” Luke calls
“Yeah?” i turn around
“I love youuu” he blows a kiss
“I love you too” i catch the pretend kiss and place it on my cheek
“Promise we will catch up soon!!” the others cheer, except Ashton, something’s still wrong with him.
I smile at them before unlocking the front door with the spare key from under the mat.
I know that its not the best place to put it, but my mum always thought that it was a handy spot
“Im home!” I yell out, even though it just my dad home.
I’ve always wished for siblings, but now there no chance in having any due to my mother’s passing
“Sorry that i was late, Luke insisted that i stay for breakfast” i chuck my bag near the shoe rack and make my way to the kitchen
I hear laughing, but not my dad’s ‘manly’ deep laugh.
A woman’s laugh
“Ohh hi” i say to the unknown woman sitting at my kitchen counter sharing a mug of coffee with my dad
“Oh alex this is Maria, she’s just a friend at my office” my dad introduces me
I can clearly tell that this is not ‘just a work friend’
My dad’s hair is jelled up and he defiantly put effort into his outfit for once. He must like her, but how can he move on from Mum already?
“Hi there Alex, Im Maria Jeffry” she extends her hand out to shake. I politely agree, as i feel my mother watching above whispering
“be polite, be polite”
“Alex Jones” i shake back
“Jeez Gary, she’s more beautiful then you told me”
I look at my dad blushing
“I may have shown her the family portrait at work” he confesses
A second of silence passes
“Well lovely meeting you Maria, but i have some homework to take care of” i wave off and start to walk away until my dad follows excusing himself from Maria
“Ahh Alex honey, who were those boys that dropped you off??”he questions
i knew he would ask soon..
“Who’s Maria and why are you crushing on her??” i playfully fight back
My dad and I were always close and we could talk about anything
He huffs “I asked first”
“They are just some of Luke’s friends. There all in a band and there actually pretty good” i exclaim
“Well, since you and this ‘Luke’ are getting pretty close..”
You have no idea dad.... he’s just my boyfriend now and we both love each other very much, so yeah you can say we’re ‘pretty close’
I keep that comment to myself
“I think it’s time that i properly meet him. I mean, your mothers met him once and that didn’t go so well, so i think you should invite him over for dinner tonight”
“Is ‘maria’ staying?” i ask
He chuckles “ no no dear she is just a friend”
“Righttttt” i sarcastically say and then walk off into my room

Half an hour later, Luke texts me in a panic mood

WHAT IF HE REALLY DOES OWN A SHOTGUN? I MEAN I WAS LIKE AHH JOKING BEFORE BUT WHAT IF HE REALLY DOES AND HE LIKE WANTS TO SHOOT ME FOR DATING YOU
ALEX WHAT IF YOUR MOTHER CURSES ME FOR SEEING YOU AGAIN
I DON’T WANNA LOSE YOU
I text him back

I pick out a simple yet dressy outfit. I know this dinner is important but it’s still at my own house so i don’t plan on getting dressed up too much.
ALEX'S OUTFIT
I skip makeup, remembering that sometime less is more..
I leave my hair the way it is, not bothering with heat tools for tonight. I tie back a little section to the back of my head, and i am good to go.
On cue, there is a knock at the front door.
I practically race downstairs just so my dad can’t answer the door yet.
“Ill get it!!” i yell as i hear my dad chuckle from the kitchen
“Well hello there” i smirk to luke who stood broadly in his usual black jeans.
I can tell that Luke made an effort to look good for this dinner, the same way as my dad did to impress Maria
LUKES OUTFIT
“Hi beautiful” he leans in and pecks my nose
My heart and stomach get butterflies
We spend another moment just staring into each other’s eyes. I may not how said how much of Luke’s eyes i love, but i really do. The baby blue, which perfectly complements his blonde locks, is it just the definition of perfection
Ruining the moment, my dad walks in, with my mum’s old apron tied around his body
“Hello there Mr Jones” Luke smiles. I know he is trying his hardest to express my dad
“Oh please Luke, call me Gary” he extends his hand for a shake and Luke accepts
“Dinner won’t be too long, but for now why don’t you show Luke around” My dad smiles. I can also see that my dad is trying his hardest to give Luke a chance and let me be happy
“Sure” i smile, wait for my dad to leave the room and then drag Luke by the arm and partially drag him to my room
“Eager i see” he smirks
I just glare at him until he starts to wonder around my room, in an inspecting manner.
“Who’s this?” he asks pointing to a picture of me and my old friend Becca who i haven’t spoken to in ages.
“Becca, she’s a friend from back home”
He nods “and this” he points to a picture of me and my prom date earlier this year. I wore a turquoise dress with sparkles at the top while my date Nathan, wore a black tux

“Turquoise is a nice color on you..” he drifts of “but the way ‘nathan’; has his hand around your waist i don’t like” he almost growls, as his hands secure around my waist
“I thought you haven’t have a boyfriend before”
“I haven’t “ i sweak
“Good” he pecks my forehead “that’s the way it should be, me and me only”
I tilt my head up looking at him, due to the height differences “ only you Luke”
“say it again” he requests
“I love you and only you Luke”
“Good” he responds again and this time brushing his lips against mine.
Our little ‘moment’ gets ruined by my dad again and he yells form downstairs “Alex, Luke dinner is ready!”
“We should go downstairs now” i suggest
“Ok” he says
“But don’t think we won’t be continuing after” he winks.
I had no idea what’s for in store later, but damn i don’t care.
As long as i am with the boy i love

Aww i thought this chapter was cute, but don't worry the dinner scene will be next chappie, okie dokie?Ok.... so i know this was probably a little boring and you hate me because of the wait... but .....yeah
