Right In Front of Your Eyes

Aurora's POV
It has been about a month since Liam has been gone on tour. Usually Rose goes with them because she is their personal trainer, but since she didn't want to leave me alone she decided to stay back. The boys are back however tonight, they have a week off in between the South American leg and the European leg of the tour. Then after their break they perform in London so they will be here a couple days longer than their break.
I am in the kitchen with Rose, I am cooking some dinner while Rose is going over some wedding plans. Chasity is sleeping so we get to relax a little.
"So tomorrow we have to go to my dress fitting. And Chasity has to come too so we can try and find some flower girl dress. Oh and we are going out to lunch with all of the other bridesmaids too." Rose says to me as she is sitting on the counter facing me.
"Okay, but we can't take all day because Liam and the boys come home tomorrow evening."
"Don't you think I want to see my fiancé? This is not going to take all day trust me."
"I wish they could have gotten an earlier flight. Too bad that their flight was cancelled I was really looking forward to seeing them today." I tell Rose.
"Me too. I really need Harry here so we can decide on the cake, and the catering company. He really wants to make sure the food tastes good because we invited really famous people. I mean I can't believe that Ed Sheeran is going to be at my wedding."
"Yea, I understand why he is so picky on that subject." I say as I continue to sauté the chicken in the pan.
"So, who is going to babysit Chasity when we go to the concert in London?"
"I was planning on bringing her with. Liam doesn't get to see her everyday because of the tour. Besides I don't need to experience all of the screaming girls at the concert, once is enough for me. I will probably just hang out backstage somewhere and watch Chasity."
"Maybe I will hang out with you backstage, because every time I go to their concerts I am pretty sure that I lose my hearing for a good ten hours afterwards." Rose says as she picks a piece of chicken out of the pan.
I glare at her, and she gives me puppy dog eyes.
I feel someone wrap their arms around my waist and dip me low to the ground. I close my eyes because I am afraid I am going to fall, but when I open them I am looking at Liam. A smile crosses my face, and his repeats the action.
"I missed you!" He says as he finally gives me a kiss.
"I missed you too." I say as he sets me back on my feet.
"Ooooh, what are you making?" He asks as he pokes around in the pan.
"Dinner, you know if I would have known you were coming home today I would have made more than for just me and Rose."
"And ruin the surprise? Not a chance. So where is that perfect daughter of ours?" He asks as he looks around the kitchen.
"She is taking a nap upstairs." I look at the clock. "You know what, you can probably wake her up, she has been sleeping for a couple hours."
Liam darts out of the kitchen and rushes upstairs. Harry finally arrives into the kitchen with Niall.
"Harry!" Rose squeals as she hops off the counter and runs to Harry and jumps into his arms, then they start making out.
"Guys go get a room!" I tell them as I start to feel uncomfortable. Harry starts walking out of the kitchen while holding Rose.
"Aurora! I have missed you!" Niall says as he comes over and gives me a hug.
"I missed you too Ni, so how was South America?" I ask him.
"It was fun, but all Liam did was mop around because he missed you." Niall says as he grabs some of the food from the pan to taste it. I slap his hand as he is pulling it away from the stove.
"I'm sorry. I am sure that he wasn't that bad. I mean he seemed so happy when I called."
"Yea, well that was the only time he was really happy, because he was talking to you."
Liam walks into the kitchen holding a sleepy Chasity. He looks in awe at her. "Auri, look! She can hold her neck up on her own." Liam says as he smiles at me.
"Yea, she missed you. She would cry and reach out saying she didn't want me, but whenever I gave her to Rose she would do the same. I am pretty sure she just wanted her daddy." I say as I turn off the stove and walk over to Liam.
Chasity looks at me then looks at Liam, then lays her head down on his shoulder and snuggles into his shoulder.
"I am sure that I missed her more. I am so happy to be home for the week. I can't handle being apart for so long. You are going to have to come visit where ever we are once a month when we are on tour."
"Okay, we'll see." Liam and I are looking into each other's eyes when Niall clears his throat.
"Well, I came here to drop Liam and Harry off. So… I think I am going to go. I will see you guys soon, yeah?" Niall says.
"Yea, see ya man!" Liam says as Niall leaves the room.
"So, South America, did you met any new ladies that I have to worry about?" I joke with Liam.
"Well… there was this one girl…." Liam says as he trails off.
"Really? Well, I guess I am going to have step up my game if I want to keep you." I say to him as I step closer. We are about 3 inches apart.
"I don't think you are going to have to step up your game. She has nothing on you. I mean she did want to marry me right then and there, but I turned her down because she was about 12." Liam smirked at me.
"I'm competing with a 12 year old. Wow, she does have one thing on me though. I'm starting to become an old lady."
"Yea, you're right I think I am starting to see worry lines in your forehead, and you have those bags under your eyes." Liam says as he pokes underneath my eye.
I hit his arm. "I would look younger if I wasn't a mother." I conclude.
"But I think the mother look on you looks sexy as hell. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world." Liam pulls me closer with his one free arm, because the other one was holding Chasity. Liam presses his lips onto mine once again.
"Are you guys seriously making out in front of the baby?" Harry says as he walks into the kitchen.
We break apart and look at him. His hair is disheveled and he is not wearing any pants and his button up shirt is miss buttoned.
"Are you seriously judging us? I mean you are walking around with the 'just-had-sex' look." Liam says to Harry.
"Hey, I have no shame." Harry says.
"Really? Because I am pretty sure you and Rose have only been upstairs for about ten minutes. That might be something to be ashamed about." Liam says as I hit his chest and give him the 'you're crossing the line' look.
"Hey! At least I am getting some." Harry says.
"Liam!" I yell and look at him pissed. "Why would you tell him that?"
"I… I didn't…. It just slipped out…. I mean it's true isn't it? We haven't done anything since we made Chasity…. The guys were all hounding me on my sex life… and well… I just told them it has only happened once…" He pleads with me.
I just grab Chasity from his arms and go upstairs. I run into Rose in the hallway. She is just wearing a robe and her hair it literally six inches off her head. She has the look of pure bliss on her face.
"You look…" I start.
"Satisfied?" Rose interrupts me.
"Sure, but I was going to say 'like you need a hairbrush'"
"Yea, I don't know why you are holding out with Liam. I mean it's not like you haven't done it before."
"I don't know, there just isn't ever a good time, and when we do start something Chasity interrupts us."
"Why don't Harry and I take Chasity out for awhile? Harry has to run to his and Niall's flat to grab some clothes and such. We could bring her with and let you and Liam have a little alone time." Rose says as she raises one of her eyebrows up and down.
"I don't know… I don't want to put the burden of watching Chasity on you…"
"Please! We will be totally fine. Or is there another reason why you don't do anything?" Rose pushes.
"No… well… I mean…" I stutter.
"Aurora spill! If you can't talk to me who can you talk to?"
"What if I'm not pretty enough for him? I mean I don't look as good as I used to. I also have a scar in the middle of my abdomen now."
"I am sure he doesn't care about all of that."
"Maybe, but I feel like he is just going to be thinking in the back of his mind that he could have a thinner, or less damaged girl."
"He chooses you though. Maybe you should talk to him about it." Rose encourages.
"Okay, I will. But, you will take Chasity right?" I ask.
"Of course! You deserve a little down time anyways. I am going to get dressed while you get her ready to go okay?"
"Okay." Rose goes back in her bedroom and I go mine to get Chasity changed.
Liam comes into my room and just sits on the bed and watches me get Chasity ready.
"Are you mad at me?" He asks.
"No" I say definitively.
"Yes you are, I can hear it in your voice." He sighs.
"Okay maybe a little. I just don't want the boys judging us because we aren't always doing it."
"I think they were surprised we aren't having sex." Liam says and I hear him lay down on the bed. "Wait, why are you packing up Chasity's things?" He asks and he stands up from the bed and stops me from packing. "Auri, don't leave, please I promise never to talk about our sex life ever again." Liam says worriedly.
I just look at him shocked, "Liam I am not leaving. Rose said that she and Harry are going to take Chasity with them when they go out. I am just packing the diaper bag."
"Oh….. Why are they taking Chasity with them? Can't she stay here?" He asks.
"We need to talk" And that is all I say as I continue to pack the bag.
Rose bursts into the room and grabs Chasity from me, "Come to Auntie Rose." she coos. "We'll be back in like 4 hours. We are going to spoil her rotten" Roses says as she leaves the bedroom, leaving me and Liam alone. I hear the front door shut after about a minute of silence.
"Auri, you're scaring me. Is something wrong?" Liam says breaking the silence.
"Yea," I say not knowing how to tell him.
"Well are you going to tell me?" He asks.
"Maybe." I say shyly.
"Auri, you know you can tell me anything. You used to be able to, what's different?"
"Well a lot of things actually, for one I wasn't a mother, or dating you, and I had more confidence in myself."
"What are you talking about Auri? I can't follow what you are saying. Just tell me already." Liam persists.
"I'm afraid that I am not pretty enough…" I say quietly then add on, "You are going to leave me for someone who can be a model and doesn't have the extra weight of child birth"
"I think you look just as perfect as you did before you had the baby." Liam comes over and wraps his arms around my waist.
"I'm afraid you won’t like what you see anymore."
"I always like what I see when I am looking at you." He leans down and kisses me. I bring my hands up to his head and deepen the kiss. He picks me up and twirls me so my back is to the bed. "So, is that all we had to talk about?" Liam mumbles against my lips.
"Mmhmm" I reply. Liam works his lips down to my neck.
"Mmmm, then why did Rose and Harry take Chasity away for 4 hours" He says between the kisses against my neck.
"Because of this." I say and bring Liam's head back up to my lips and he pushes me back on the bed.
