Liam's POV
It has been a month since Aurora and I broke up. I haven't talked to her since then either it is killing me not being able to talk to her but she does need her space, being with me is a lot for anyone. It was terrible telling my parents that we broke up, they cried harder than I did. I told them why we broke up which made them a little happier. The press was all over the break up, there is at least one picture of me mopping in every sleazy paparazzi magazine it drove me up the wall. I just got to the recording studio, I know I am late so all the boys are chilling in a room waiting for me. I enter and see them all watching TV, E! News is on. I hate this show. Then all of a sudden Aurora's face pops up on the screen I stop in my tracks. I actually listen to what they are saying.
"Aurora Green, the girl who broke Liam Payne's heart, was spotted with a new man leaving a pub in Glasgow. Apparently she wasn't as torn up over the break up as Liam was. Looks like she and Liam weren't as serious as Liam thought." I grab the remote and turn off the TV. All the boys turn to me.
"I don't think it's true man." Harry was the first to say something.
"She… she… she moved on… we… I … I thought I meant more… She said we needed space…. She… she… she is… It's really over isn't it?" I didn't hear Harry.
"Liam think about this logically! You know the new man. It is Luke her friend. I don't think you should believe what they are saying." Niall tells me.
"I can't do this today… I need to go… I need…. I need… I need… I need Auri," I sit down on the couch and put my head in my hands.
"I am going to go call Rose," Harry says. I hear him whisper "Rose!... Did you watch E! News?.... Yea I figured it was a hoax…. I don't think he is going to believe me… you should have Aurora call him….. Yea I know…. Okay love you too…. Bye"
"Liam… Rose said that it isn't true that they are just friends." Harry tells me.
"She just doesn't want me to know…. It is true… it makes sense… I have to go." I get up and head out the door. I decide to walk to my flat to try to clear my mind. I am about to enter my door when I hear someone call my name. I turn and see a brunette approaching me. She comes and gives me a hug, I don't hug back I don't know who this girl is.
"Liam! Long time no see." She tells me.
"I am sorry do I know you?" I ask really confused.
"Sophia, Sophia Smith. We went to school together, I am one of Nici's old friends." Sophia? Oh yea Sophia! I always thought she was pretty but nothing compared to Aurora because Aurora was more of a natural beauty where Sophia looked more like she was always ready for a photo shoot.
"Oh yea I remember you! How have you been?" I ask.
"Great! I heard that you are very popular now. I wouldn't have expected it. You always kept to yourself and that one friend… uh what was her name? Blonde, a little plain, a little shorter than me…." That made my heart hurt a little.
"Aurora Green. Yea I haven't talked to her recently. She doesn't like my lifestyle."
"How could anyone ever hate your lifestyle? I mean being famous must be fabulous!" I think back to Aurora's note, 'find someone who can handle this', she is right. As much as Aurora is my everything she will never want to date me again unless I wasn't famous anymore. She has moved on so why can't I?
"Hey do you want to go get a cup of coffee or something?" I ask Sophia.
"I would love to!" She wraps her arm in mine and we walk to the coffee shop down the street.

~One Month Later~
Rose's POV
My phone is ringing I look and see that Harry is calling.
"Harry you are so lucky that I just got done with class otherwise I would have been so embarrassed if my phone went off in class" I say before Harry could say anything.
"Have you checked in on the One Direction news lately?" He asks me.
"No I just got done with class I told you."
"Well call me back when you do" Harry hangs up the phone. I am really concerned so I rush back to the room to see what Harry is talking about. I open my laptop and go to my pre-saved tab for One Direction news. I see the first article 'Liam Payne and his childhood friend start dating' I am super confused. So I call Harry.
"Harry! What the heck? Aurora and Liam aren't dating again I would know hello! I live with her." I say immediately.
"Rose, did you read the article?" Harry asks me.
"Uh, no I just read the headline." I say as I scroll and start reading the article. 'Liam Payne just announced that he and a former schoolmate Sophia Smith have started dating' "Oh my God! Harry how could you let this happen?" I ask into the phone.
"I didn't have any control over it. We haven't even met her yet! He did this all without telling us. I have no idea how he could keep a secret that big!"
"Harry, you're one job was to keep him single!" I say.
"I'm sorry!" I hear Harry say then I hear Niall in the background "Harry who are you talking to?" he responds "Rose" I hear Niall say "Let me talk to her!"
"Hello?" I hear Niall say into the phone.
"Eeeehhhh!" I whine. "Niall…. Why?.... Just why?"
"What's wrong with her?" I hear Niall ask Harry. Harry tells him "Dude look at the article"
"Why? Why must we live in a cruel cruel world?" I hear Niall say, he must have read the article.
I hear a key in the door. Shit Aurora. "Guys! Aurora is back! I need to compose myself!"
I look and see Aurora enter the room and I put my phone on speaker.
"Aurora, honey we have to tell you something…" I tell her.
"We?" Aurora asks.
"Yea Harry and Niall are on speaker phone, say hi guys."
"Hi! Aurora" Niall and Harry say in sync.
"Okay? What do I need to know?" She asks I turn my laptop and let her read it. I watch her expression the whole time. It remains neutral. I am starting to get scared that she is going to just blow up any second.
"Oh, huh… I didn't peg her for Liam's type." She says as she goes and puts her backpack down and sits at her desk.
"What?!?!" I yell. She turns and gives me a look of confusion.
"What do you want me to say?" She asks me.
"Harry? Are you hearing this?" I say into the phone.
"I am but I don't know if this is real or not." I hear Harry say.
"Why? Just why must you punish me?" I hear Niall cry. He is really taking this hard.
"I know Sophia, we WERE friends." Aurora says, why did she emphasize were?
"Were?" I ask.
"Yea, whenever I wasn't hanging out with Liam I was hanging out with Nici, his sister and Sophia. That was until she started teasing me for being so close to Liam. She told me that I should just be a guy if I wanted to spend all my time with them. We were um 13 at this time. Nici didn't really say anything to stop her at the time but later told me that I shouldn't listen to her because I don't have to be a guy to hang out with Liam all the time. After that she always said how Liam wasn't someone who I should pine over. The ironic thing is, is that she is dating him now. How times have changed." Aurora said that and turned back to her desk and started doing homework. I sit there shocked. There is no sound on the other line of the phone either. I did not expect that.
"So, you don't like her either?" Niall asks from the phone.
Aurora turns around and scoots closer to the phone "Not really. She is a materialistic bitch who could care less about anyone other than herself." She said that way too calmly. She is starting to scare me.
"Well I don't want to meet her then." Harry says stubbornly.
"You guys can't tell him what I told you. If he likes her, let him. He can see her for who she really is on his own. He is a big boy" She pondered the last line and smiled a little bit. I think there might be a sexual meaning behind it but I don't want to press. "Are you done drilling me? I really need to start studying."
"Yea we are done." I say. I put the phone off speaker and bring it to my ear. "Harry, I have to go too. I will talk to you later. Bye guys!"
"Bye!" I hear Niall yell.
"Bye Babe! Talk to you later" Harry says.
I just hope Liam figures this all out soon because then the sooner Aurora and Liam can get back together.
