4 Months Later
I have to go and set up for Rose's birthday party, Harry has been planning this whole shindig. I swear he spoils the living daylight out of her. I walk up to a condo, damn this is a fancy condo. I wonder how Harry found it and how he could just rent it. Rose was coming by right before the party starts because she has a lunch thing with her family today considering it is her birthday. I go and knock on the door and I see a very frazzled Harry, his hair was standing up all over and his shirt wasn't buttoned right.
"Harry? Why do you look like you got dressed in the dark right as I knocked on the door?" I ask him as I walk past him into the condo.
"I haven't slept in three days. This party has to be perfect" I said as he ran his fingers through his hair for the fifth time since he has started talking.
"Harry, go take a nap. I will finish setting up, is there anything in particular you want me to do? I know you want me to make a bunch of stuff, I hope you got all the ingredients."
"Okay, and yea there is a list of stuff that you need to make in the kitchen. Oh, yea and here is a key to the condo." He says and gives me a key.
"Why do I need a key to the condo?"
"Oh, I didn't tell you this is Rose's birthday present so she can live closer to me when she isn't at school, and I figured she would want you to live with her so I got a key made for you along with one for each of the boys minus Liam of course."
"You can give Liam a key I am not that mad at him and he is friends with Rose so I should be more accepting of the fact that he is always going to be around no matter what happens."
"Okay well that's good because I made him a key too. I just wanted to feel the water first. Oh and since we are talking about Liam he is bringing over all of the groceries and he is going to help you make all of the food." Harry says as he turns to go upstairs to sleep.
Wait, Liam is coming over and it is just going to be us here while Harry is off in dreamland. Great…
I go to the kitchen and see the list on the counter. 10 dozen chocolate chip cookies. That was the list, why do we need 10 dozen cookies there is going to be only 10 of us here. This list is bogus. I need to change this now and call Liam to change the grocery list. I plan on making only 3 dozen cookies, mini pigs in a blanket, 7 layer taco dip, homemade chex mix, and cheese, sausage and crackers. I go and grab my phone from my purse and call Liam.
"Hello?" I hear a musky voice ask into the phone.
"Liam?"
"Auri?"
"Yea so listen Harry told me that you are getting the groceries for the party and he left the list of things he wants me to make in the kitchen and it says 10 dozen cookies and I feel like that is not good for a party so I revised the list."
"Yea I revised the list too. I have no idea what he was thinking but on my list I have only a couple dozen cookies, taco dip, chex mix, pigs in a blanket and cheese, sausage and crackers." He tells me, wow I forgot how in sync our minds our sometimes.
"That is what I have on my list too, do you remember all of my recipes for that stuff?"
"Duh, they are my favorite things that you make I memorized it to a T, I tried making some of them recently but I can never make them as good as you."
I laugh into the phone, he was never that good of a cook he could only get by.
"Liam baby, who are you talking to?" I hear a female voice in the background.
"I am talking to Aurora, we are talking about Rose's party." I hear him say, obviously not to me.
"Listen Liam if you are busy I can run to the store and you can finish what ever you were doing," I say hesitantly into the phone.
"No, no, no I am not busy at all Sophia is about to leave she has something going on. You remember Sophia right? She is friends with Nici."
"Yea I remember her" Not willingly, I say to myself.
"So I am about to leave here now, I will see you in about an hour." I can hear him smile in his voice.
"Okay, don't take too long because it might take awhile to make all of this stuff before the party starts."
"I will hurry as fast as I can I don't want to keep my girl waiting." My girl, but I am not his girl anymore. I am on the verge of tears.
"Okay see you soon bye." I hang up the phone before he could say anything else and I go and finish decorating the first floor of the condo for the party.
I hear a knock at the door. I go and answer it I am pretty sure I have confetti in my hair and I am now covered in glitter and streamers, I think I fail at decorating. I open the door to see Liam holding a bunch of brown paper bags. He is smiling at me and his brown eyes warm my heart. I smile back at him.
"Do you need help?" I ask as he enters through the doorway.
"No I am good. Where is the kitchen though?" He asks.
"Follow me." I say as I head to the kitchen. We enter the kitchen and he drops all of the stuff on the counter and I start unpacking the bags.
"You have confetti in your hair." He says as he starts picking the little pieces of paper from my hair, my heart starts racing. Stop Auri, he isn't yours anymore, this shouldn't be happening. I turn around and Liam is really close to me.
"You look really good." He says and pulls his face closer to mine.
"Thanks" I spin away from him to start making the cookie dough.
Liam just stands there and watches me cook for about a half an hour before I say "You know you could start helping me make stuff."
"Sorry, you are just too much fun to watch cook, it is one of my favorite pass times." He says as he goes to grab some stuff to start cooking.
"You haven't seen me cook in years because you are never around."
"Well fine then it was one of my favorite pass times before I screwed up our friendship."
"You didn't screw it up, we both had a part in it. We would be totally fine if I could just handle the public eye." I say, I don't want to argue but we have to talk about this.
"You wouldn't have to worry so much about the public eye if only I told you sooner, or I just never auditioned for X-Factor."
"I don't think that we were ever meant to be more than friends because our lives just don't fit well enough together to be any more." I know that I wish that we could have worked out.
"Maybe your right… We are only meant to stay friends." I see his head droop down.
"You need someone like…. Sophia, because she can handle being popular and everyone always watching her and drooling over her. I mean that is how it was when we were in school. I never had that no one looked at me like they looked at her, or even Nici."
"Yea Sophia is…. Um…. She is great…. She can handle the paparazzi. But one thing that you are wrong about is that everyone was always watching you, you just never noticed, you didn't want to believe that it was possible." Oh Liam, always trying to cheer me up.
"Okay, whatever you say." I turn back to putting the cookies on the cookie sheet.
2 hours later and we have finished making all of the food and people are going to start arriving soon. As far as I know Harry invited, Niall, Zayn and Perrie, Louis and Eleanor, Rose, and Liam and I. I wanted to invite Luke so it wouldn't be so awkward when I was around Liam but Harry wouldn't let me and Rose backed him up on it, and considering Rose is the birthday girl I just let the topic drop.
Harry comes down the stairs, he looks a lot better. For one he took a shower and has a new pair of clothes and his buttons are all lined up. He looks really refreshed.
"Aurora…." Harry comes over and out of the blue just gives me a hug and kisses the top of my head. "You are the best! I love you so much."
I chuckle at Harry, he is back to himself. He continues hugging me. Liam clears his throat.
"Harry I think she has had enough I don't even know if she can breathe right now."
"Shhhhh, I am just showing my friend how great she is." Harry said as he pulls me closer.
"Harry people are going to get here soon and I think that you should make sure that the living room is good because I am not the best at decorating." I tell him.
"You probably did better than what I could do." Harry lets go and goes to the living room.
I hear the door knock so I go and answer it with Liam following me. I see Zayn and Perrie on the other side of the glass along with Niall. I smile as I open the door.
"Hi guys!" I say as Zayn, Perrie and Niall give me a hug. Niall hugged me longer than everyone else and he didn't let go as he entered the house.
"Aurora! I have missed you so much!" Niall says still not letting go.
"Yea I missed you too Ni, now let go!" I say as I worm my way out of his grasp.
I am about to close the door when I see Rose coming up the path to the door and she is just dazzled by the condo. I smile and run to give her a hug.
"ROSE! Happy Birthday!" I say.
"Hey! Thanks! This place is beautiful! How does Harry find these places?" She asks as she blindly walks into the door.
"I have no idea I think he just knows all." I say as I laugh and walk into the condo behind her. I know Louis and Eleanor are always late because Louis takes forever on his hair.
I hear another knock on the door, I could have sworn that Louis and Eleanor were going to be at least 15 minutes late. I answer the door and see Sophia. What the hell is she doing here?
"Aurora! Long time no see!" She gives me a hug that I don't return and she air kisses my cheeks. Man I did not miss her one bit.
"Sophia…. How are you?" I ask really confused on why she is here.
"Fantastic! I mean now that I have that handsome stud. But you know how that feels I mean before he dumped you." She said as she pushed her way into the house. I am seething. He did not dump me. I dumped him. I speedily walk to the kitchen to find Rose and Harry.
"Harry!" I say through my teeth.
"Yes?" He asks turning shocked to see my angry face.
"You invited Sophia?" I ask him
"You did what?" Rose says obviously she is pissed now too.
"No, no, no I didn't I swear! I wouldn't invite her, ever!" Harry says trying to defend himself from me and Rose.
"Then why the hell is she here?" I ask.
"Why don't you ask Liam? I mean he is the one dating her." Harry suggests.
I calm down because I can't look pissed when I ask Liam why the hell his girlfriend is here. I go to the living room to see that Sophia just got in there a couple seconds before me.
"Liam!!!! Darling!" Sophia squeaks and Liam just smiles at her as Niall cringes and covers his ears from the loud noise. Zayn and Perrie just look at each other not knowing what to do.
"Hey, I thought you were going to come later, like a lot later, as in only to pick me up." Liam says to her as he kisses her. It hurt seeing this right now.
"Well I thought that I could come by and socialize with your friends I mean I am your girlfriend after all." She says as she hangs on his shoulder. Liam looks over at me, I just smile trying to hide my pain. I have to get over him, we tried the whole relationship thing and it didn't work, I can't pine over him anymore, he deserves better than me.
"LIAM!" Rose yells from behind me. Well she can handle this situation about as well as I can.
"Um… Yea?" He asks not wanting to anger her anymore.
"Why is Sophia here? At MY birthday party? I did not invite her, and I do not want her here." Rose yells so everyone can hear her.
"You go sister!" Niall eggs her on.
"Rose…" I caution. "It is fine, she wont ruin the party. Just let her stay."
Rose's face relaxes and looks at me really confused. "I thought you didn't want her here?"
"What's the worse that can happen? Besides if I can't handle it I will leave or tell them to leave." I whisper to her.
"Okay…" She whispers back then raises her voice "My thoughtful half has assured me that it is not the end of the world that 'she' is here. So you can continue what ever you were doing." She leaves the room.
Sophia walks over to me leaving Liam to talk to Niall and Zayn.
"Aurora, I have to say you definitely prettied up since I have seen you last." Sophia says sourly.
"Thanks, you look about the same. So how did you and Liam start dating?" I ask trying my best not to punch her.
"Well I mean I have always liked him. How could I not? He is just so perfect." She says. I wanted to yell liar at her because that is not what she told me when I spent all my time with him when we were younger. "And I ran into him one day and he recognized me immediately and he asked me to coffee. So I said yes of course how could I turn down a stud like that." She fake laughs and I want to kill her with my bare hands. Maybe I should have let Rose go on her rant.
"That is quite a story. I didn't know that you liked him so much. I mean you always teased me when I would hang out with him." I say trying to get her to say some of the truth in her web of lies.
"Oh please! I just didn't want you to have him I wanted him all to myself. I mean you weren't very cool in school so him being around you made him seem like a total dork. I only put up with you because you are close to Nici and Liam." Her smile remains making it seem like she was saying nice things to me and not what she was actually telling me.
"Could've fooled me. But I don't think Liam would like to hear that you said that I shouldn't hang around him because I wasn't 'cool'" I make quotes around the word cool with my hands.
"Please, why would he chose you over me to hang around with I mean for one I am his girlfriend and I am so much prettier than you and at least I can handle being in public with him." Her words seared into my heart like a sizzling dagger. I could slap a bitch…. So I do. I slap Sophia across the face and I hear a gasp from Perrie who saw the whole scene. I hear everyone get really quite and watch us. Then Louis and Eleanor enter the living room. When did they get here?
"Ouch! That stung. What did I ever do to you? I am sorry that I started dating Liam I thought you were over him I mean I saw the picture of you and that new boyfriend of yours." Sophia said and walked towards Liam for comfort.
I was about to attack her when I see Niall run over and hold me back and bring me to the kitchen. Rose and Harry follow.
"We always miss all of the fun, because you take for ever on your hair Louis!" Eleanor tells him and she goes into the kitchen to get the scoop from me while Louis stayed to hear Sophia's story.
"Okay Aurora, what happened?" Rose asks me. "I thought you were okay."
I told her everything that happened and I am pretty sure that they all wanted to go kill Sophia.
"Imma gonna kick her out of this house." Rose says as she enters the living room and I follow her.
"You fucking bitch! Get out now! And never come back!" Rose yells.
"Rose! Calm down! Sophia didn't do anything, Aurora is the one that slapped her." Liam defends Sophia I wanted to cry right now. He has to know that I need motivation to slap someone.
"The fuck she didn't! If you want to take her side over Aurora's then you can leave and never come back too!" Rose yells.
"Fine, we are leaving then" Liam grabs Sophia's hand and starts heading towards the door.
"Liam I can't believe that you are choosing her side, we aren't friends anymore do you understand? I can't be around someone who doesn't believe me." I say to Liam as he passes. He stops and looks at me hurt.
"Auri, you don't mean that. You know it we are always going to be best friends" Liam says.
"No Liam I never want you in my life again do you understand? I thought we could move on from everything but you just messed any chance that we had" I say and I go upstairs to a bedroom to calm down.
When I return downstairs everyone is sitting on the couch.
"Aurora! Come sit by us!" Eleanor says as she drags me in between her and Perrie.
"I can't believe she said that to you!" Perrie said to me.
"I never liked her I just put up with her if she was hanging out with Nici and Liam wasn't there." I say and smile at them. It is great to be friends with such supportive people.
"I am most surprised that Liam didn't take your side." Niall said you can see that he is still trying to wrap his brain around it.
"I'm not… Liam has a soft spot for pretty girls." I say.
Everyone laughs. "But he has a gapping hole for you!" Harry tells me.
"Okay well I think I have had enough excitement for today, I kinda want to go home"
"Wait! Rose has to open the present from me first!" Harry says as he runs up and grabs a box.
"Harry… did you buy me jewelry?" Rose questions.
"No… even better!" Rose opens the box and sees a key in it. She looks at him questioning.
"What is this to?"
"This!" Harry says as he gestures to the whole room.
"You bought me a condo…." Rose asks hesitantly.
"Yes…. I wanted you to be closer to me so I bought you a condo…. Aurora can stay here with you too… but if you want something better I can buy you a different one…" Harry starts getting worried that he didn't buy her the right present.
"I love it! I just did not expect this!" Rose say as she gets up and gives Harry a kiss.
I am so happy for Rose and Harry they are so cute together. I leave the condo and head towards the train station to head back to my house in Wolverhampton. Why is it whenever I see Liam I am taken on an emotional roller coaster?

Holy cow! Sorry it's sooooo freaking long!! Well I hope you guys like the story. Eliza got in a huge fight with her roomie so now she is living with me for the rest of the year so like 5 days. Yep! :) I'm super excited. And school is almost over so I'm almost done! Next week is finals week...blahh.
