Right In Front of Your Eyes

Aurora's POV
I am finally home! I got an A on my math final and that means I got an A in the class. I go into the kitchen to see my parents who are sitting at the dining room table.
"Hi mum! Hi dad!" I walk over and kiss their cheeks.
"Hi honey! Is there something that you would like to tell us?" My mum asks and points to the magazine in front of her. It was a picture of me and Liam kissing. Well this is not how I wanted to tell them.
"I… um… well I was going to tell you on Christmas when we go over to the Payne's house for dinner. You know so we can tell everyone at once." I argue.
"We aren't mad at you dear! We were just wondering why you didn't tell us."
"I'm sorry. I have to go start unpacking and I am pretty exhausted so I am going to go take a nap before dinner."
"Okay honey!" I walk up to my bedroom and I start putting clothes back into my dresser. I finish up and I lay down on my bed. Man it feels good to be home. I fall asleep and wake up to someone kissing my forehead.
"Mum, is it time for dinner already?" I ask with my eyes still closed.
"I don't think so but I was wondering if you wanted dessert first" A husky male voice asked me. What the hell? I open my eyes and see a smiling Liam inches from my face.
"I don't know I don't really want to ruin my appetite." I smile back at him. "Hi" I say shyly.
"Hello beautiful! I missed you." He kisses my lips. I never knew he could be so sweet.
"I missed you too. Can I go back to bed if dinner isn't done yet?" I beg.
"Only if you let me join you. Move over sunshine." I do as he says and curl up to Liam and go back to bed.
I hear my door open and close, then I hear "I knew I should have stopped those sleepovers when they were 12"
"Let them be dear, Liam is a good boy I trust him more than any other guy"
My mom and dad are in my room right now. Great… and I am in bed curled up next to Liam, even better. I stir trying to get Liam to wake up with me. Knowing he probably didn't hear my parents.
"Baby, I'm tired we can do what ever you want to later." Liam mumbles.
I elbow him in his stomach. As I wake up and look at my parents who are standing by the door.
"That was not what I was thinking." Liam complained.
"Liam… wake up!" he wakes up and looks over to see my parents.
"Oh hey Mum, Dad how's it going?" Liam asks very chill. That bastard.
"Hey Liam! Long time no see! How's it going man? I miss having another guy around the house!" My dad says. Is he really bonding while Liam is laying next to me in bed?
"Pretty good actually! I mean it is going great now." Liam says he swings his legs out from under the covers looks at me smiling and sits on my bed.
I am still laying down trying to figure out what just happened. I always thought that my dad would be protective of me when I got a boyfriend.
"Come on Liam. I think there is a football game going on right now calling our name." Liam and my Dad leave my room but not until he shot me a wink and blew me a kiss. I blushed.
"Hey mum, what's up?" I ask my Mom who was the only one left in my room besides me.
"Well I was going to tell you dinner is done. I knew that Liam was up here with you I just assumed you were watching a movie or just talking." My mom says as she sits down on my bed next to me.
"I told you I was going to nap and when he came up here I told him that if he is going to stay I am going to sleep so he just joined me."
"I know I just want you be careful. Okay sweetheart. I don't want you to get hurt, and I know Liam enough that he wont hurt you intentionally but I know that things can happen in situations like yours." With that she gets up and leaves my room to contemplate what she just said.
I got up and went to the kitchen I look in the living room and see my Dad and Liam sitting on the couch bonding over football. I should have known that my Dad and Liam would act the same way like father and son. Things like this make me realize we are perfect for each other.
I go into the dining room where my mom was setting the table "Go tell Liam and Dad that dinner is ready." She tells me.
"Okay Mum!" I go to the living room. "Dad, Liam dinner is ready Mum told me to come tell you guys."
"Okay sweetie we are coming." My dad says. I wait there as Liam gets off of the couch and comes by me and gives me a kiss on my cheek.
We walk into the dining room and take a seat. We have dinner like we normally do typical what is going on questions. Most of them are towards Liam because he has such an interesting life compared to me. He talks about how he always is doing interviews and in the recording studio. He sounds like his life is always busy. We finish dinner and I know Liam has to go home to his family. I walk him out the door and down the street to his house.
When we walk he has his arm around my shoulders. "I could really get used to this dating thing." Liam says to me.
"Oh really?" I laugh
"Yea it feels so natural to be around you and not having to be fake."
"I'm glad that you realized that you can be comfortable around your best friend." I am still laughing at Liam's confession.
"It isn't funny!" Liam kisses the side of my head, and I smile at him.
I see a flash of cameras coming from across the street. I turn and see a bunch of paparazzi taking pictures of us.
"Don't worry about them they will lose interest eventually." Liam whispers in my ear.
"I'll try" I wearily smile at him. The press kept getting closer and closer to us as we approached Liam's house. "Liam" I whine at my discomfort. He pulls me closer into his chest. We walk through the gate around the front yard and then we walk through the front door.
"You can stay as long as you want I know my parents wouldn't mind at all. I mean they love you so much" Then Liam calls to his family, "Mum, Dad, Nici?"
"We are in the living room Liam!" I hear his mom call.
We walk into the living room and his mom turned and looked at us. "Aurora Darling! It is so good to see you! Oh I have missed you so much! Come over here and give me a big hug." I walk over and give her a hug.
"Hi Mum! I have missed you too." I turn and see Nici and her Dad sitting on the couch I go over and give both of them a hug too. I forgave Nici when I went to their house for Christmas after the train station fiasco. I realized that it was mainly Toby's fault and that I missed talking to Nici too much.
"So you and my little bro huh?" Nici asks me.
"Yea, Liam did you tell them?" I ask Liam.
"No I didn't tell them they saw in that stupid magazine. Damn paparazzi ruining everything, I mean don't you think it would be nice to be able to tell my parents myself who I am and am not dating?" Liam rolls his eyes.
"The magazine got my parents too."
"So I don't mean to be rude but why is she here?" Liam's mum asks.
"Those damn paparazzi was talking about earlier, stalking me when I was walking home from Auri's. They made her uncomfortable so I said she can stay here as long as she likes, I thought that you wouldn't mind."
"Oh of course not! If you want to you can call your parents to tell them what happened." His mum adds on.
"Okay I think I will. How long do think the paparazzi is going to stay outside?" I ask Liam as we walk to the kitchen so I can call my parents on their house phone.
"They might be here all night. Maybe you should just stay the night." Liam smiles cheekily.
"Okay!" I say like nothing was wrong with that idea, I mean it is probably true that the paps are going to be here all night and I don't want to walk back in the dark alone.
"Seriously?" Liam asks.
"Yea it will be like our sleepovers we used to have, but more fun" I wink at him
Liam is choked up by my comment. I just smile and call my parents to say that I am going to stay over here for the night. When I get off the phone Liam is still at a loss of words so I walk past him and say "Are you coming Hot Rod?" I start walking up to his room not knowing if he was following me or not.
I get to his room and go straight to his dresser to grab a t-shirt to wear for pajamas. His shirts are so big on me that they cover me enough for sleep. I hear the door close behind me and the bed move meaning that Liam did follow me and he is sitting on the bed. Not looking at him I take off my shirt and bra, my back is still to him. I put on his shirt then take off my jeans. I turn around and see the same Liam who was in the kitchen with me, a Liam who is at a loss of words.
"Are you going to get ready for bed too?" I ask him seductively.
"I…. Uh…. i…." Liam stutters.
"I guess not. Well I am going to bed I didn't get enough sleep in my nap today." I go and crawl under his sheets. Liam takes off his shirt and jeans, he is just wearing his boxers which is unusual for him.
"What no actual pajamas?" I ask him.
"Well last time I didn't wear pajamas you wanted to jump me the next morning so I think I am going to sleep like this more often when you are around." Liam says as he finally built up enough courage to speak.
"Liam that is not going to happen any time soon… I am just not ready, I am sorry if you got the wrong idea." I say in all seriousness.
"It's okay that you aren't ready. Just tell me when you are, I don't want to make you do something that you don't want to do. I don't want to lose your respect it its too important to me." Liam snuggles me under the covers and gives me a kiss on my cheek and says "Good night Beautiful, sleep like the angel that you are"
