Right In Front of Your Eyes

Rose's POV
I try to roll over to try and get myself comfortable again so I can go back to bed, but I can't. I open my eyes to see a mop of curly hair by my head. I am really confused, why is Harry in my bed. I look on the floor and see his shirt and pants on the floor, oh no! We didn't did we? I can't remember, I didn’t think I drank that much last night. I must have blacked out because I would remember sleeping with him or at least kissing him. I pull the covers off of Harry. I see that his most definitely shirtless, oh great! I really hope he is wearing some form of underwear. I look further down and see boxers. Yes! Thank God for boxers. I really need to get Harry off of me. How did he even get into my bed? Did I invite him in? What did we do last night? Did we do something while others were in the room? No I wouldn't do that would I? Wait…. There is a mostly naked Harry Styles laying on top of me. Oh my God! A sex symbol is laying on top of me right now! I am better with boys than I thought. Okay, Rose focus! How to get Harry off of me? Aurora would know! I look over and see Liam is also shirtless and is practically on top of Aurora and it looks like he is nuzzling her neck? Did they…? No… I saw Liam walk out of the bathroom in boxers last night. Man he looked super hot I wanted to run my hands up and down… no Rose you shouldn't be thinking those things you ship Aurora and Liam.
"Aurora!" I whisper. "Aurora."
"Hmm?" I hear Aurora mumble. Yes! She is up!
"Help me!" I whisper back.
"Rose? What is it? I can't move. There is an um… why is Liam practically naked on me? What happened last night? I didn't let Liam do anything did I? I am so bad at self control around him."
"I don't think you did anything. Liam was wearing boxers when he went to bed don't worry. But I have a worse situation than you because you at least knew that you were going to be waking up to Liam."
"What?" Aurora finally looks over and sees Harry on top of me. I motion towards his body as best I could considering I was pinned. "Oh my God!" Aurora squealed. "I have to take a picture of this." She squealed a little to loudly so Niall and Liam woke up. Harry was still dead to the world.
I hear a camera shutter and I see Aurora was actually taking a picture.
"Get him off of me!" I say.
"Oh damn! I was going to do that!" Niall said disappointed. These boys are so weird.
Liam tapped Aurora on the shoulder and pointed to the ground. "Aurora look what's on the floor." I am assuming that Liam saw Harry's clothes on the ground.
"Well that's a shirt… and that's… oh my god! You didn't did you?" Aurora asked me.
"No he is wearing boxers don't worry." I say.
"You're lucky then." Liam says.
"Yea he usually sleeps in the nude." Niall adds on.
"What? Why? Why would someone want everything just out in the open and… uh" Aurora shivers at the thought.
"I don't know I don't do it I actually wear clothes when I sleep." Liam responds to Aurora.
"Oh really? Have you seen what you're wearing right now?" Aurora says as she lifts the covers and points under them I can't see under the covers though. She looks under and her eyes go wide she quickly pulls the covers back on. "I… your… oh dear… I think I just threw up a little" Aurora stutters.
"Hey it isn't that small I mean I like to think that it is a decent size I mean I am no Harry!" Liam says. Aurora and I freak out thinking about Harry being naked.
"Bad move comparing yourself to Harry I mean he is a sex symbol for a reason." Niall said.
"Oh god! I can't handle this! Get him and his giant thing off of me." I say as I start to squirm.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. You might get him excited." Liam says and turns to Aurora and asks "But seriously. Is it that bad? Because you are the first girl to see it other than my relatives"
"I… uh… I have nothing to compare it to really…" Aurora stutters. I wish I was in her position… seeing Liam like that…. No focus Rose! You have to get Harry off of you.
"Na man you're good!" Niall responds to Liam.
"Okay guys I think I am going to wiggle and try to dump Harry off of me." I say as I start swaying my hips back and forth to get momentum.
"I really wouldn't do that…." Liam says trying to stop me. This plan is going to work I know it. I start swaying again. Then I felt it. Oh my! Ew! Ew! I stopped trying to wiggle Harry off of me.
Then all of a sudden Harry wakes up and looks me in the eyes. "Good Morning Beautiful!" he says and kisses my nose. I recoil trying to get away from him.
He shifts around adjusting himself and his eyes go wide for a second then says "You know what I have to go to the bathroom real quick." He gets up and heads to the bathroom.
"Ehhhhhh… I felt it" I whine.
"Told ya." Liam says.
"Wait! You mean he had… a you know…" Aurora asks.
"Yes…" I whine in response.
"Was it big?" She asks curious.
"Do you really need to know that?" Liam asks.
"Yes! Duh it can make him more or less attractive." She says. "But tell me Rose is it big?"
"Let's just say it would hurt…. A whole lot…. And then some"
"Wow! I never would have imagined Harry for a stud."
"Do you want to cuddle?" Niall asks me.
"No…" I whine "I don’t want any one to touch me right now."
"Harry always ruins everything for me." Niall says under his breath.
Harry then emerges from the bathroom with a smile on his face. "Guys I am wearing boxers, I am already half dressed!" He says very proud of himself. Then he crawls back in bed with me… ugh why must he do this?
"Speaking of boxers… did you by any chance see mine in the bathroom?" Liam asked Harry.
"No why would I see your boxers in there you sleep fully clothed…. Wait where is your shirt… does that mean…. Oh my god! You are fully naked and in bed with Aurora. You didn't do it while we were in the room did you?"
"I don't know…" Liam responds unsure of himself. I see Aurora pat down herself to see if she still has her clothes on.
"We are good I am fully clothed." Aurora says.
"Aurora, can you… you know check in the sheets for my um boxers?" Liam asks Aurora, I can tell she is really uncomfortable right now.
"You want me to go under there where you have nothing covering you right now."
"Well I can't go look for them under there because then I would expose myself to everyone and I am not okay with that."
"But it is okay for me to go down there? It is going to be looking at me."
"I will turn away from you so you don't see it."
"Oh yes because your ass is a better view for me."
I can tell Aurora doesn't want to do this but I know she will because she doesn’t want Liam to accidentally expose himself. I would gladly go search for his boxers if I were her. I mean we all know that she is in love with him so what is the big deal… unless it really is bad.
"Please Auri! Do this for me." Liam begged Aurora.
"Fine! But in all honesty I would rather have your ass further away from me." Then Aurora disappears under the covers and I can see Liam getting really red in the face and is tightly holding onto the covers.
"Woah! Auri not there not there! We don't want another Harry situation." Liam says to Auri who is about halfway down the bed.
"Harry situation?" Harry asks really confused. He is still trying to cuddle with me.
"Harry, we all know why you really went to the bathroom… and it wasn't to pee." I respond and try to push him away.
"I can't find them Liam! I don't think they are under here. Unless you are on them." Aurora says from under the covers.
"Keep looking! I don't think that I would have taken them off purposely and thrown them somewhere especially since you are fully clothed." Liam said the last part quietly.
"I am telling you there is nothing but skin under here right now… these sheets allow way too much light to come through! So I can tell."
Liam got extremely red and put his hand under the sheets to tap for Aurora to come back up. He must have accidentally tapped her somewhere that was inappropriate because she jumped and fell off the bed onto Niall who was still laying on the floor she was straddling him.
"Well I see that you wanted to compare Liam to myself" Niall says as he grabs her hips. She leans forward to put her hands on either side of Niall to push herself up.
"Sorry Ni! Not today!" Aurora glanced under her bed and then she disappeared under there.
"Ha! I found them!" Aurora says as she emerges from under the bed. She was holding up a pair of black Calvin Klein boxers. Damn those are some sexy underwear.
"Thank God! I thought I was going to have to stay in your bed all day!" Liam said as he grabbed them from Aurora and quickly put them on under the covers.
"And not another Harry situation!" Aurora said proud of herself.
"Uh yea… sure" Liam mutters. Oh my God! He doesn't!
"LIAM! You let me go under those sheets when you were in a Harry situation?" Aurora yelled.
"Well… I can't help it! I mean you were laying right next to me and I was naked so what do you expect."
"How long has it been like that?" Aurora was getting really flustered, but not as flustered as Liam.
"Um at least since I have woken up…."
"Oh my God! And you were on top of me! Oh my God!" Aurora starts hyperventilating a little bit. "You are never sleeping in the same bed as me again!"
"Auri…" Liam whined. "What if we were dating? Or married?"
Aurora stopped and looked in his eyes. I could see from where I was that they had a look of sadness in them. "Liam… that probably isn't going to happen, so that argument is invalid." Aurora went to her dresser and grabbed a pair of yoga pants and a tank top and went to the bathroom.
As soon as Aurora said that Liam's face fell. I can't believe she said that. I know she likes him she might even love him. I feel so bad for him.
"Liam… I don't think she actually means it." I say trying to cheer him up. He shot me a glare telling me to shut up.
Liam walked over to his bag full of his clothes, grabbed a pair of jeans and a Henley and throws them on. He turns to Niall and Harry and says, "Guys I think we should go."
Harry and Niall get up slowly and start getting dressed too. I just sit on my bed shell shocked of what just happened. We were laughing and having a good time then the mood takes a 180 and drops into total depression. I go over to the bathroom while they are getting dressed to tell Aurora that the guys are leaving. I go and knock on the door and I hear crying. "Aurora can you let me in? I need to tell you something." I hear scurrying towards the door and I hear the door unlock I step into the bathroom.
"Aurora what's wrong?" I ask her.
"I just don't know why I said that. I mean I want to date him and marry him. I just know that it isn't plausible because what if we date and then break up and it ruins our friendship. He can't even like me that way." Aurora rambles.
"Aurora! Are you serious? He is so whipped when it comes to you. He is mopping right now because of what you said." I say regretting it almost instantly. I knew I shouldn't be the one to tell her that Liam likes her but I can't see her cry like this while Liam is also mopping
"He is just upset that he has to sleep on the floor now. But I will go out and cheer him up a bit. He can't just lay in bed all day." Aurora says.
"Well he is kinda out of bed and may or may not be already gone with the boys." I mutter.
"What? He left without saying goodbye?" Aurora was going to start crying again.
"Well I don't know if he did or not. He just got dressed and told Niall and Harry to get ready to leave." I say as Aurora opens the door to an empty bedroom. I hear her sigh sadly.
"Get dressed! Now!" She tells me as she goes and starts getting ready to leave. "We need to go find them and tell them goodbye I can't go months without speaking to Liam again it was too hard the first time."
I run out and grab a pair of yoga pants and a t-shirt to put on and quickly change. I go and put on a pair of sneakers. Aurora puts her hair in a pony tail and we leave our room.
"I should call them." Aurora says as she pats herself for her phone and realizes that she doesn't have it on her. "Well shit! Where do you think they would go?"
"I don't know… I forgot my phone too… How did they get here? Did they take a car?" I ask
"No they wouldn't take a car it would make them too obvious. They had to have taken the train" She says as she starts speed walking in the direction of the train station. "I just can't believe he would leave without saying goodbye. I mean I thought he would at least yell goodbye, or at least Niall and Harry would. I really messed up didn't I?"
"No you're fine. Besides I don't think that it was just the one remark that set him off I think it was all your remarks all morning." I say.
"I really didn't mean any of them. I was just trying to make sure that I was saying something just a friend would say. I didn't think that he would get so emotional about it."
"Really? You pretty much said his thing wasn't impressive and that you wanted to throw up."
"What was I supposed to say? That I thought it was perfect and that I kinda wanted to jump him right there?"
"Seriously? You wanted to jump him while we were in the room?" I ask unable to believe what she just said.
"Yes! The guy I have had a crush on my whole life was laying next to me in bed naked and he was totally okay with me being in bed with him naked. I was ecstatic but I couldn't let him know that."
"I think that you should tell him you didn't mean it and maybe confess your undying love for him!" I am shipping so hard right now.
"Oh yea because that would blow over well. I mean he was just joking he doesn't really want to marry me or date me I am just the girl he grew up with. I don't think he realizes that I have grown up, I am still his 5 year old best friend all gender pushed aside."
"Hahahahahahahahahahaha…. Oh wait you are serious?" I start laughing but stop when I see her confused face.
"Yes!"
"He totally knows you’re a very attractive girl his age I mean he woke up to a boner just because he was laying in bed with you. Don't even get me started about yesterday he was so jealous and protective of you just because you were wearing a nice dress." She really is oblivious.
"Well maybe he just had a wet dream, that I wasn't in… and he is protective of me like an older brother would." I roll my eyes knowing that no one could convince her that he was madly in love with her.
We finally reach the train station and we look for which platform the train to London is on. We find the platform and see that the train is leaving in a half hour. We rush to the platform to find the boys sitting on a bench. Aurora rushes over and slaps Liam across the face. What the hell? I thought she wasn't mad at him I thought she would be happy to see him before he left.
"What the hell?" Liam says to Aurora.
"You left without saying goodbye! Why would you do something like that?" Aurora responds.
"I thought I wasn't wanted there. So I thought it would be best to leave and get out of your hair."
"Just because I said nothing would happen between us? You are still my best friend and I don’t know what I would do without you." Aurora said as Liam stood up he was a good couple inches taller than her.
"I'm sorry…" Liam said as he looked down at the ground.
"It's okay, I mean I wouldn't have came all the way here for someone that didn't mean the world to me" Aurora smiles as she lifts his head. He smiles back at her, my ship is sailing again.
"Rose! Did you come to say goodbye to me too?" Harry says as he stands up and walks over to me to give me a hug.
"I...uh…. Back off Harry! No touching!" I say as a try to squirm out of his grasp.
"Shhh just let it happen!" Harry says as he snuggles closer to me and puts his head on my shoulder. I do have to admit he is so cute. Ah what the hell? I hug him back and I can feel him smile and then hug me tighter. "I am in heaven" Harry says in my ear.
I start laughing. Harry is so damn cheeky.
The train is about to arrive I get a hug from Niall and Liam and finally another hug from Harry and this hug was about to suffocate me. I see Niall and Harry give Aurora a hug then finally Liam. He looks at her longingly for a bit. "I don't want to leave." He says to her.
"I don't want you to leave either." Aurora says shyly smiling.
"You could come back with me and forget college… I want my best friend around me all the time again" Liam offers.
"I think I am going to stay here, school is very important to me. You know that. But if I could do anything else besides school I would go back with you." Aurora responds… I fell like I am watching a soap opera I need some popcorn.
Liam leans in and gives her a huge hug. He picks her up and twirls her around like in those old romantic movies. "Liam put me down!" Aurora laughs. Liam puts her down and looks in her eyes again. God! They are so damn adorable.
"I love you!" He says as he grabs his bag from the ground.
"Love you more!" Aurora says back and smiles at him. All of us but them know that they really mean it. Liam leans down and gives Aurora a kiss on the cheek. We know it is on the cheek because we know Liam but from anyone else's perspective they actually look like they are kissing.
"I will see you soon! Tell me if you want to go to a concert and I will personally deliver you tickets." Liam says as the train approaches.
"Okay until next time! Bye guys!" Aurora says as the boys board the train.
Aurora and I wave to them through the window as the train leaves the station. I see a tear roll down Aurora's cheek.
"I wish it got easier to see him leave" Aurora says.
"You know you could have went with them." I say trying to cheer her up.
"No I couldn't have, I would have gotten in the way of everyone. I am better off here" Aurora says. "Let's go get some food! I am starving"
"Me too!" We walk to a café not far from the train station to get some breakfast/lunch.
Aurora's POV
About 5 hours after the boys got on the train we finally make it back to the room. After we ate we just walked around campus not really wanting to go back because I was upset.
When we finally got back to the room it was around 5 in the evening. I went and started working on an essay that was due tomorrow at midnight while Rose was checking in on the celebrity world on her laptop.
"Oh no… oh no… oh my fucking God!" Rose was muttering to herself.
"What is it? Is one of the Kardashian's pregnant again?" I say sarcastically.
"No it's worse… just come look at this." Rose says as she pats next to her on her bed.
I walk over there and hop up on her bed. I look at the screen. It is a picture of me and Liam kissing at the train station and another one of him spinning me around with a smile on both of our faces. Finally there was a picture of me with a tear rolling down my face as I turned to leave with Rose.
"What the hell? I didn't know there was people creeping on us." I say scared.
"You should always know there are people creeping on them. But it get's worse… read the headline."
The headline read 'Who is this mystery girl? Is Liam Payne cheating on Danielle Peazer?' "This cannot be happening. What is going to happen to me? I don't want people following me around all the time." I say as I get off her bed and start pacing in the room.
"Oh you are getting a lot of hate right now…" Rose tells me.
"What?" I say confused.
"Wow these people really hate you! A lot of people really like Liam and Danielle. Oh man they are calling you some words that I don't think I can say out loud…. Do you know what? You need some positive comments on this. I am commenting." Rose tells me.
"What? Don't do that!.... Tell me what you are going to say."
Rose clears her throat, "Okay, 'I don't know why you guys are bashing on the Mystery Girl she looks so nice, and Liam looks so happy I think she is going to be my new ship with Liam, Danielle can go to hell!'"
"Oh my God! Don't send that! I don't want people to think that we are a thing because we aren't" I say trying to stop her.
"To late! I already submitted it." Rose says smirkingly.
I hear my phone ring from my desk. I cross the room to see who is calling, Liam, I should have guessed. "Rose! It is Liam… what should I do?"
"Answer it duh!" Rose says.
"Hello?" I ask hesitantly into the phone.
"Auri? Have you seen the news lately?" Liam says into the phone.
"Yes sadly enough… I don't know what to do Liam. This is going to make my life a living hell."
"I know we have to get this to go away. You have to get this to go away."
"I have to get this to go away? Why me? You're the one that they are really interested in not me."
"I know, I know. I just don't know what to do. Do I say that that wasn't me because I don't want to lie like that. But if I tell them that you are my best friend that wont make people stop harassing your life."
"I think you should say that you just ran into an old friend at the train station and that you thought that it was nice to see the friendly face of an old acquaintance."
"Yea I guess that would work. Would it be really that bad if people knew that you're my best friend?"
"Sadly enough, yes it would. I don't want people to treat me differently because I am so close to you, hence the acquaintance line. You are going to have to get Harry and Niall to back up your story too."
"Hey how did I get Harry's number?" I hear Rose say in the background.
"I don't know why?" I ask Rose.
"Because he is texting me right now saying that I looked good in the photo with you on the internet."
"Liam put Harry on the phone please." I say into the phone.
"But I'm not done talking to you" Liam complains.
"Please?" I beg.
"Okay fine," I hear a pause then a "Hello?"
"Harry?"
"Yes?"
"How did you get Rose's number? And how did you get your number into her phone?"
"I don't quite remember but I am happy I have it so I can talk to that ray of sunshine all the time." Harry says smugly to me.
"What if she doesn't respond?" I question.
"She will! Did you see the way that she hugged me back at the train station? She so wants me."
"Okay whatever you say Harry. Can you put Liam back on the phone?"
"Sure babe! Liam, sweetie your mistress is on the phone!" Harry calls.
"Yea" I hear Liam's voice in the phone.
"So we are going to tell people that we aren't even considered friends and that you were just happy to see someone who knew you before you became famous."
"Yea I got that part down. What is going to happen when we go out in public again though?"
"We just wont go out in public ever again." I sigh.
"First I am not allowed to have sleepovers with you anymore then I am not allowed to see you too! This is turning out to be the worst day ever!"
"You can see me, when we Skype. Or when we are both home I can come over to your house or you can come to mine. I just don't think that it would be a good idea for us to go in public situations together because we don't want another fiasco like this to occur."
"What about concerts then?" I could tell Liam was getting upset now.
"I am not going to go to any. I don't want to be sucked into this life. I only want to just stay friends with you and this is the only way that it is possible." This day really does suck.
"Okay. But call me or text me whenever. Please! I don't want to lose contact with you again." I can tell Liam is getting choked up.
"I will text you all the time to tell you what's up don't worry. I did have a lot of fun hanging out with you again. Too bad that it can't happen again."
"I had fun too. I guess I will talk to you soon. I miss you already." Liam says exasperated.
"I miss you too. Bye"
"Bye" I hung up the phone and turned to Rose who has a hurt expression on her face.
"This is so hard for me. I just watched my ship sink and I couldn't do anything about it" Rose was pouting. Her phone buzzed she looked at it and smiled.
"Harry?" I question.
"Yea. You know that little bugger is really growing on me." She says.
"He grows on all of us. I think I am going to bed I am exhausted from today's emotional roller coaster." I say as I climb into bed and try to go to sleep. Why does Liam's life have to be so damn complicated?
