Aurora's POV
We find a seat in the bleachers which has a good view of the court that Rose will play on. I hear the coach yell out Rose's name and she enters the court with her opponent. I honestly don't know much about tennis but I get the gist of it. I see Harry and Niall whispering about god knows what. Liam has his arm draped around my shoulder. I didn't mind since this is how we always sat next to each other. Rose started doing her warm ups. She looked over and waved at us with a huge grin on her face. Harry waved back with more enthusiasm than he should. Then when she was serving for the first set her skirt flew up so her spandex showed underneath. Niall just says, "This is my new favorite sport." Harry scowls at him. Rose ended up splitting sets so I was watching as her coach seemed to be just yelling at her. She was just sitting there and nodding her head. Liam leans over, "What is happening? Why is her coach so cranky?..."
"I don't know…" Then out of nowhere Harry just spews out something that I never would have figured he knew. "Because she totally didn’t execute her game plan the second set. This chick has a terrible backhand so that's the side she should be hitting it too. Not to mention she isn't very consistent. So Rose could just hit rally balls and extend the points and this chick will either hit it out or in the net." We all looked at him like he was on crack. Liam was the only one who spoke, "When...what...you?"
"What I like tennis. Close your mouths...you'll catch flies." I couldn't help but laugh at him. He has been shouting most of the match, but I thought it was only to impress Rose. I think they would be cute together. The match finally ended and knowing Rose, she will be hungry. We go meet her. I also know that since she lost, she will be kinda cranky. We meet her back in our room so we can figure out where we are going to go eat. Harry is boiling with anger because he really wanted Rose to win this match. Liam kept his arm around my shoulder the whole way back to the dorm.
When we reached the dorm Harry and Niall sat on my bed while Liam went straight for my closet. What was he doing? He grabbed a sweatshirt that he left at my house and let me keep it from the closet and he walked over and forcefully pulled the sweater over my head.
"Liam! What are you doing? The sweatshirt ruins the outfit." I whine.
"Seriously dude? You are ruining the show for mankind." Niall said.
"My plan exactly! I wish I did this before we left. All those guys staring and mentally undressing her should not be happening when I am around" Liam said.
I laughed. He was so cute when he was so protective. "Liam, what is going to happen when you are not around?"
He pondered that for a minute, "I have a solution! I can be around all the time!" Liam said very proud of himself.
"Oh yea that's perfect walking around with an overprotective best friend. You would throw off any guy that comes my way, how would I ever find someone? And what happens when I get a job?" I knew that I want only him and that no other guy would suffice for me.
"You don't need a job! Besides didn't you say once that I 'fulfill all of your needs'" Liam winked at me as he smiled. Harry and Niall just turned their heads back and forth.
"I need popcorn" Niall said.
"How will I get money if I don't get a job? And you have been slacking in the fulfilling department lately, I have to turn to find someone else to do that" I played along with Liam's façade.
"I will pay you to be my friend if you want. Since I am back you don't need to turn to anyone else to fulfill you needs" He got really close to me. His face was a couple inches from mine.
"What am I a hooker? If I am, then what I wear shouldn't be such a big deal."
"No, not a hooker. Never!" Liam's eyes drifted from mine down to my lips. What I would give to feel his lips on mine again. The first and only time we kissed was as a dare 5 years ago and I couldn't stop thinking about it for months afterwards, that is when I realized that I was in love with my best friend.
"You are way to classy to be a hooker! Besides a hooker would make that outfit look trashy, you make it look elegant" Harry said to me. He is always such a suck up.
"Thank you Harry! I think you are my favorite bank member right now." I turn from Liam's gaze and take off the sweatshirt as I hear the door open and Rose walks in the room and goes straight to the bathroom to shower and change so we can go get something to eat.
"Hey what about me?" Niall asked.
"You are a close second! How could I forget all of your witty comments?" I say and smile at Niall.
"Excuse me?" Liam asked.
"You're off the list." I strut to my closet to put the sweatshirt away. I take off my sandals and put on a pair of heels because I know that we are going to go to the party after we get something to eat and heels are so much classier for a party.
"Goddammit Auri! What are you trying to do get raped?" Liam asked me.
"Yea because that is what everyone plans when they go to parties?"
Rose emerged from the bathroom in a towel. "Will you guys stop bickering already? Seriously you are worse than an old married couple because at least they kiss and make out afterwards you guys just let the sexual tension sit there. It can not be healthy." She walks back into the bathroom with a green dress in hand. Sexual tension? I mean I am flirting with him but he is definitely not flirting with me, he is just being plain old Liam.
"I like her. Liam are we allowed to keep this one?" Harry asks.
"Uh what?" Liam asks.
"You wouldn't let us keep Aurora! We don't forgive you for that yet too!" Niall said.
Rose came out of the bathroom with her hair in a complicated braid and a green dress that came up a little higher than mid thigh and it has a baby doll waist. She is wearing a gold necklace with matching earrings. Her make up is done perfectly with cherry red lipstick to top off her look. She goes and grabs shoes from her closet and asks "Ready to roll? I need food pronto!"
"Well there is no way that we are going to be able to control 'the Harry' tonight" Niall said smirkingly. I turn to look at Harry who has legit drool on his chin and his eyes are bugging out.
Liam's POV
We leave as soon as Rose came out of bathroom. Harry was acting strange around Rose, it isn't like his normal smooth cheeky ways. Aurora wouldn't take my advice to wear the sweatshirt over her dress so she would show less skin. She looked so good in that dress that it was so distracting. I almost ran into light posts 5 different times. I had to be right next to her too because I had to at least touch her soft skin a little bit even if it was just my hand brushing her arm.
I see a guy walk by and check Auri out lingering at her chest. Who does he think he is? I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her closer to me. Auri looks up at me and silently questioned my actions. I just look down at her and smile. She is so beautiful. Auri smiled back at me and rested her head on my shoulder.
"I have missed you so much" Auri whispers.
"I missed you more!" I say.
"I doubt it." Auri says barely audible. How could she miss me more? She was the one that was mad at me.
"Weren't you the one who was mad?" I ask and laugh a little.
"Yea but I was going to call or something soon, it was just inevitable." I pull her closer to me and kiss the top of her head.
We get to the café and we get a booth for all 5 of us. I sit next to Aurora on one side of the table and on the other side it goes Harry closest to the wall then Rose and Niall sitting on the edge of the bench.
We start looking at the menu when Rose says "I need to find the biggest meal that is the least expensive…."
"Why?" Harry asks.
"We are broke college students duh! I mean not everyone can be world wide sensations" Aurora says and rolls her eyes.
"Liam can pay!" Niall says suddenly.
"What?" I am so confused Harry Niall and I all get the same amount of money why do I have to pay?
"You will Liam?" Aurora asks with puppy dog eyes. How could I say no to that?
"Why not? But you owe me!" I only say to Aurora.
"Deal!"
The waiter comes over to take our order.
"Okay sweet! I will have the whole menu then!" Rose says. I looked shocked. "Just kidding but I will have a burger with fries and nachos with and chicken tenders. Oh and a large chocolate milkshake."
"I think she fell from heaven" Niall says.
"Well she is not your angel so…" Harry says.
The rest of us order a normal amount of food. Rose suddenly grows a really big smile on her face, she is starting to scare me.
"Rose, are you okay?" Auri asks.
"I just cant believe that I am sitting between Niall Horan and Harry Styles and Liam Payne is sitting across from me! EEPP! Oh my god!!!!!!! I have always wanted to meet you guys and now I am hanging out with all of you. My life has been made." Rose squeals.
"Well you are welcome to come over and hang out with 'the Harry' whenever your little heart desires" Harry says and winks at Rose I think she is going to faint.
"You keep 'the Harry' away from her!" Niall says. He wraps his arm around Rose and asks "So who is your favorite band member?"
"Liam!!!" Rose squeals and looks across the table at me and freezes and slowly starts to blush.
"What?!?" Niall and Harry say simultaneously.
"She scares me! Why are you friends with her Auri?" I whisper into Aurora's ear. She frowns at me but it looks like she is frowning at Rose.
"I…. Uh…. Well it was Liam….. That was before…. I…. Uh met Harry…. Um yea! Harry is my favorite now." Rose stutters.
"YES! In your face Horan!" Harry yells.
"No fair! Besides she didn't chose you first so it doesn’t count!" Niall says.
God, could they grow up already?
"Liam that was rude! Rose is one of my good friends I can't help it if she likes you." Aurora seethes into my ear.
"I'm sorry, it was rude but I don’t want her to get the wrong idea." I say calmly back to her.
Our food arrives and half of the table is covered in just Rose's plates. Rose is just shoveling food into her mouth it is hard not to watch, it is amazing she should go into competition eating.
Rose stops for a second and looks up at all of us watching her eat, "What? Have you never seen someone eat before?" She asks with food in her mouth.
"Where does it all go?" Niall asks.
"I don't know… I am not a Biology major." Rose argues.
"You are perfect! Will you marry me?" Harry asks suddenly to Rose.
She looks at him with a confused look and looks across the table to Aurora to ask for help. Aurora just shrugs not knowing what to do, actually no one knows what to say to Harry's remark, this is not like him.
"Well…. I…. Uh…. No" Rose finally says to Harry. I can tell Rose wants to get out of here now.
Rose is surprisingly the first one finished and Harry and Niall were soon to follow, Aurora and I had still a ways to go.
"Well I am going to go to the party…. It was nice meeting you all…." Rose gets up to go.
"We'll come with you!" Niall says as he drags Harry up from the table.
"I… uh… well… was sort of hoping…. You know…. That I would go and get away from you know….. Um…. Harry" Rose says.
"Rose, can you please take them with you, me and Liam will meet you at the party in a little bit. I promise!" Aurora begs Rose.
"Ugh… fine but you owe me." Rose stomps out of the café with Niall and Harry following not far behind.
"I finally get to have my best friend all to myself!" Auri says and turns to me.
"I was thinking the same thing. We never get to be just us anymore, there is always someone there."
I lean in and give her a side hug. I decide to take off my hat and sunglasses because I was getting warm and since it was getting dark I could barely see anything with the sunglasses on. I hear a gasp and see people start to line up and take pictures of me and Aurora.
"Shit" I mutter "We have to go" I leave a 150 pounds on the table and quickly put on my hat and sunglasses again and grab Aurora's arm to pull her in tow. I was so stupid I should have known not to take off my disguise.
When we leave the café I wrap my arms around Aurora's shoulders and pulled her as close as I could.
"I hate your fans so much" Aurora said to me just low enough for me to hear.
"I know they can be a bit much sometimes, I just hope that they didn't get any good pictures of us so it won't blow up tomorrow." I say trying to comfort her.
We take a twisty route to the party so people lost interest by the time that we actually got there. When we got there we searched for Niall, Harry and Rose. When we finally found them Niall is watching Harry and Rose intently as Harry is chugging shots and Rose is chugging a beer. Well this is going to be an interesting night.
