Ch 25
Hannah's POV
I looked at the clock, it was almost noon.
"Shit." I looked around. Niall was no where to be seen.
"Niall?" I called from the bed. I got up to check the bathroom, he wasn't in there, then I went to go check the deck. Not there either, but we were docked. Today, we were in the Bahamas.
The only thing about that is that my parents were probably wondering where I was. I got up and stretched, I was in one of Niall's shirts again. I don't remember ever changing. I thought to myself.
As I started to walk out of the door I bumped into Niall who was holding a tray of food.
"Good morning, babe." He said, but didn't smile.
"Morning."
"Where are you headed? I got you some breakfast."
"Thanks. I just need to call my mom and tell her where I am." I said, but he didn't move. His blue eyes seemed more pale than usual and he just looked stressed.
"Listen, baby." I looked down. "I really appreciate what you did for me last night. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't come. I don't even want to think about it." I shuddered. "But, don't... don't let any of that ruin this. Don't let him ruin it. It's just not worth it. We only have 4 more days together that we can be completely sure of. So stop being pissy. Okay?" I smiled at him. He cracked one back, and then started to walk in.
"I'll be right back." I started out of the door.
He set the tray down quickly and then grabbed my hand.
"Wait." His hands were soft and warm. "You're over last night already?"
"Not over it, but I'm not worried about it. It's whatever now, nothing really happened so I'm just going to go with it. No sense in dragging it on. What's done is done." I said.
"Alright. But, promise me."
"What?"
"That if you see him....you tell him how much you love me." He laughed.
"Will do."
"That would be the best revenge, baby." He joked and kissed my forehead. My Niall was back.
I walked out of the room and then went to my room to call my mom.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hello?" it was Max, he sounded awful.
"How ya feelin?" I asked.
"Still sick."
"Where's mom and dad?"
"They went off the boat. They called you and asked if you wanted to come but you didn't answer."
"Oh, okay. Do you need anything?"
"I'm hungry."
"Okay, I'll bring you something down."
"Really?"
"Yeah, buttmunch. What do you want?"
"Bring me a burger!"
"Haha, you got it. Be there soon."
"Okay."
"Bye."
"Hey, Hannah!" he said before I hung up.
"Why are you being so nice to me?" he asked.
"Because you're my brother. I have no choice." I giggled.
"Oh, okay. Just making sure we still hated each other." Even when he was feeling his worst he was still a little prick.
"Nope, still disowning you." I smiled.
"See ya."
I hung up the phone and went back to Niall's room.
I knocked and he opened the door. I walked in and he had the food laying on my side of the bed.
"Eat." he pointed.
"Demanding." I chuckled and started to eat. "Hey, I have to go to the buffet to go get food for my little bro."
"Oh, alright. I'm coming."
"You don't have to." I said through a mouthful, he laughed out loud.
"I want to." he smiled. "So, hurry and eat up."
I started to finish up and said, "He's obnoxious so don't take anything he says to heart."
"Haha, alright."
I was finished eating and then we placed the empty tray outside of the door. He grabbed my hand and then we went to the elevator.
There were no adults in sight. Just girls in bikinis tanning and guys walking around sneaking glances at them. We got in the burger line.
Niall's POV
I stood in front of Hannah in the line, facing her.
"How are you?" I hadn't asked her that.
"I'm great." She smiled and then hugged me.
"So, what do you want to do today?"
"Let's get off the boat soon." she suggested.
"Yeah! Let's do it." I smiled, then I looked over Hannah. Austin was coming over to us. I began to walk around Hannah to handle this, for the last time, but she grabbed my arm.
"I got this, babe." she said. I stayed in place, but stood close behind her.
Hannah's POV
Austin was walking towards us now.
I stood up straight and crossed my arms.
His hands were in his pockets and he was looking down when he finally approached us.
"Hey, Hannah, can we talk?" He looked up, his face looked horrible. It all happened so fast I didn't notice how bad Niall beat him up.
"About what?" I snapped.
"About last night!" He said, looking fully at me. "I'm really, REALLY sorry!"
I didn't say anything back.
"I was so out of it last night." He said. "And I don't know what came over me. I'm really sorry."
"Ok." I said.
"Do you forgive me?"
"Yes."
He looked at me and smiled slightly.
"Will you give me another chance?" He smiled and flicked a glance at Niall. We were now at the front of the line, Niall grabbed the food and took it to the condiments booth.
I just looked at Austin.
"Hannah, will you please give me another chance?" He said, and I felt Niall behind me.
"You never had one to begin with." I said. "I forgive you but you need to understand something." I stepped closer to him. "We are nothing. We never were. Last night just confirmed that. So, no, you cannot have another 'chance', and yes, I'm sure. Don't bother trying to make it up to me. I've got all I need right here." I stepped back beside Niall, grabbed his hand and we walked away leaving Austin there alone.
We kept walking and heard a sudden crash of things. I looked back and saw Austin storming off.
Niall looked at me and smiled. "You're legend, babe." He giggled.
"I know." I kissed his cheek.
