Ch 24
Hannah's POV
The water was warm, but it was salt water! I wrapped my legs around Niall and he kissed me again.
"I'm starting to think you only like me for my kisses." I laughed.
"Haha, maybe, babe!" He laughed back then fell forward, pushing me underwater.
"That was payback!" he smiled when we both came up from the water.
"Haha whatever!" He kissed me again for a long time. We heard giggles so we stopped kissing to look up. It was the girls, they were back, all ready to swim.
"Come in!" Niall spoke to them.
Almost one at a time they all came in and splashed us.
"So, how long have you guys actually been together?" Sophie asked, "Has it always been like this but you just kept it a secret or is it a vacation fling?"
I was about to answer and then I heard Niall say "Neither. We just met but it's not going to end when the cruise does."
"Oh, so you guys live near each other then?"
"Haha. No, we actually live in different countries, but it'll all work out." Niall smiled at me.
"Well, that's good! Don't mind any of the girls who hate on you because you date him. As long as you're happy, why should you give a damn what anyone else thinks?" I heard Valerie say, she smiled at me. She looked incredibly gorgeous with her hair shaved, I wished I could pull that off.
"Thank you." I winked at her, she was sweet.
We all swam around for a while and splashed each other.
"I'll be right back guys." I announced, Niall shot me a glance basically asking if he needed to come with. I shook my head and then started to walk away.
Niall's POV
Everything was perfect. I got my girl, we were going to work it all out, and no one was going to stop us.
"So, what did Austin say about me again?" I asked.
"Well, he said that you saw her with him and that you kind of just took off with her. He also said that he thinks you're a fake, and that you don't actually like her. You're just trying to score." Kylee answered.
"He has no fucking clue." I pushed my hair back off of my forehead, all of that gel work gone to waste. "If she wanted him then she would have had him. He's so messed up in the head if he thinks I'm forcing her to be with me." This was starting to piss me off.
"Austin said that he thinks you're going to hurt her, too." Krista added. But, I wouldn't ever..
"He went on this whole rampage about how when he gets his chance with her, he's going to take it."
"Chance in what?" I asked, clenching my jaw.
"Chance in getting her back!"
"He. Never. Had. Her." I said to them.
"We're just telling you what he said!"
I shook my head and looked up at the sky. It was completely dark, there were no stars anymore.
"Well, nothing he can do will change anything." I said, and looked back at them.
Then I heard a piercing scream.
Hannah's POV
I was shoved into the wall in the boys bathroom.
"Austin! What the fuck are you doing?" I tried to fight him off, he was too strong.
"Hannah, just be with me!" He spoke and continued pinning me to the wall. His breath reeked of alcohol.
"No, you're drunk!" I started to kick, he pushed me into the wall harder until it started to hurt.
"Leave him and I'll let you go!" I slid down the wall trying to find a way to get out of his grip but then he just ended up on top of me.
"Austin! Stop! THIS ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE." I screamed, it didn't deter him, he kept holding me down.
"Kiss me." He started to pull his face toward mine.
"DUDE!" I screamed and turned my head to face toward the door.
"Hannah, stop fucking playing around! I know you want me!" He shook me, and started to get mad.
"LET ME GO!" I squirmed and yelled in his face.
Suddenly, the door swung open.
Niall's POV
As soon as I saw Austin I tackled him and got him off of Hannah. He balled up into the corner as I started to kick and punch him.
"Get up!" I yelled and he stood up quickly, getting ready to take a punch at me. He was clearly drunk. I punched him one time in the jaw and blood went everywhere.
Hannah grabbed my arm then and pulled me out of the bathroom. "Niall, we need to go!" She yelled and pulled me away. She looked mangled. Her hair was half up and half down, I saw tears starting to stream down her face. That was what triggered me. I started to run back to the bathroom, but then I heard her crying.
"Niall, please don't." she was quiet. I stopped at the door of the bathroom and took a deep breath. She needed me right now, I couldn't leave her. She just stood there, crying into her hands. On her arms I saw purple bruises starting to form. They were on her legs, and on her back.
That broke me.
No girl should ever feel like this when she's with me. I walked over to her and hugged her. She didn't hug me back, she just cried into my chest. I felt tears starting to come into my eyes too. This was all my fault.
"I should have came with you." my voice cracked.
"No, it's not your fault." she said in between cries.
"Baby, I'm so sorry." I hugged her tighter and then started to walk her back to her room.
When we boarded the elevator I never let her go. I didn't let her go once we got out, when we got to the rooms, once we got into my room, or even when we were laying down on the bed.
"I'm sorry." I said again, as we were laying down in bed.
Her breathing was steady and I looked at her. She had fallen asleep.
I kissed her forehead and then turned off the lights to go to bed.
