Niall's POV
"So, where is your brother?" I looked over at her.
"He's sharing a room with my mom and dad, but they're off the boat already."
She went to the ice cream machine and got a swirl.
"You and your brother must have a good relationship then."
"Not even! Off of the boat we practically hate each other."
"Haha, oh. So, that's why you're catering to him." I smiled at her.
"No. Haha."
"You love him. You're taking care of him."
"I guess."
"That's what people do when they love someone. Go out of their way to make them happy or make sure they're okay."
"Yeah, like you did for me yesterday." she squeezed my hand.
"Haha, yeah."
"Well, I do love my brother, he just lives to make my life miserable."
"Maybe that's the way he shows he loves you."
"Maybe." She smirked. We walked to the room and knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" I heard a hoarse voice.
"It's Hannah."
The door clicked open.
Hannah's POV
There stood Max, standing 5'7, he was only 12. He was tall and lanky, he had the now infamous quiff, and wore what all the boys wore. Shorts, elites, and brotanks. I had to admit, my little brother was kind of cute.
"How are you?" I walked in, Niall had the food and I had the cone.
"I'm feeling a bit better. I called room service and ordered a patch." he pointed to behind his ear.
"That's good." I said. "Max, this is Niall. Niall..Max."
"Nice to meet you." Niall put out a hand. Max smiled and took it heartily.
"Nice to meet you, dude." He smiled. I smiled, so far so good.
"Thanks for the food." Max looked at us and took the tray from Niall and the cone from me.
"Yeah."
"So, where you from? You look familiar." Max sat and looked up at Niall. Oh Lord, I hope he didn't recognize him...
"Ireland. I doubt we've seen each other."
"Haha, nah, we haven't. You just look familiar. What do you do?"
"I play music. I'm in a band, actually."
"Hmm. Sounds legit."
I shifted my weight to my other leg, please don't ask which band, pleaseeeeee.
"So, you must be good with the ladies then? All the girls talk about you on the boat. Can you hook me up, man?" Max smiled raised his eyebrows.
"Shut up and eat." I butted in, Max snickered. He tended to his burger. "So, you guys are dating?"
I looked at Niall apologetically, and he smiled.
"Yeah." I said, Niall smiled with his teeth.
"Does mom know?"
"No, she doesn't need to either." I said.
"Well," he looked at Niall. "Don't break her heart."
I looked at Max, my eyebrows raised. There was no way he just said that.
"Wouldn't ever." Niall laughed.
"Good." He finished his burger and turned to the melted cone. "What are you guys doing for the rest of the day?"
"We were planning on getting off the boat soon." I said.
"Oh, can I come?"
"No." I said.
"Yes, you can." Niall said and Max smiled at him. I looked at Niall confused, but he knew exactly what he was doing.
"Alright, well, I'll be ready in twenty minutes. And I'll leave a note for mom and dad."
"Okay. We'll meet you on the ground floor. Make sure you're there in twenty! And don't forget sun screen!" I said.
"Alright, MOM." He said. Niall laughed and we headed out of the door.
"See, I told you he loves you." Niall smiled as we walked down the hall.
