"We interrupt this program to bring you urgent news."
"I wonder what happened this time....LOUIS!!! What'cha do now?" Harry teased playfully.
I threw it back at him, "Harry...Are you sure it's me? Who'd you have fun with last night?" We laughed and then stopped when we heard the word attack.
"....Attack in the small town of Wolverhampton."
"WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" Harry and I screamed, turning up the volume.
"As you can now see the peaceful town has been obliterated and we have rescuers searching for survivors at this moment. Let’s head over to Janet for the details."
"Thanks Markus, here I am standing on one of the main streets of the attack. We believe that the attack started at 10:15 pm and ended at 10:50. At the moment we have found no survivors, but we do now this, Liam Payne's house was targeted and we have found no sign of Liam or his family....." Her voice droned out, I sat there in shock. In a matter of 35 minutes, a whole town was destroyed, hundreds of people were killed, and so far n-no survivors. This was more than Harry could take, he screamed at Janet,
"NO!! IT CAN'T BE TRUE!!!!!! YOU'RE WRONG JANET!!!! LIAM'S NOT DEAD!!!" Frustrated and worried tears rolled down his cheeks as he smashed his fists against the TV. I quickly turned off the news and pulled Harry away from it. He sobbed into his hands and I rubbed his back. A minute or two later my laptop went off with a Skype call. Hurrying over, I accepted the call and Niall's (accompanied by Zayn's) worried face appeared.
"Did you hear the news?!" Zayn asked.
"Wolverhampton was completely wiped out! L-Liam's dead."
Harry's head snapped up and he screamed, "LIAM'S NOT DEAD NIALL!!!!"
"Are you absolutely positive about that Harry? Because I'm not, his entire street was wiped out, they have found no survivors and, look at this." Niall whipped out his cell and browsed for a second. The picture he pulled up seemed to freeze time. It was Liam's favorite shirt, covered in ash with a single hole directly in the center of the chest. Harry paled as he stared, wide eyed, at the picture. Niall then said, “Still think he’s alive? Harry there is no way anyone, even hardcore Liam, could a shot like that.”
Niall wasn’t trying to be a jerk but he was and he realized that after a few minutes. Unfortunately Harry had taken the news to heart. His eyes had lost their cheeky glow and he had ‘aged’ 10 years older. Niall then said, “Harry…Harry I’m sorry. I-I didn’t mean to-“
Harry cut him off. “You know what Niall? Just shut up. SHUT the flipping heck up!!” he then turned his back to him and stared out the window sadly.
Niall had the face of a beaten puppy but didn’t say more. We sat in silence for a few more seconds before just completely breaking down and sobbing. Harry was crying the hardest; I walked toward him ready to try and comfort him but he just shoved me away saying, “Go away Louis.” He then buried his head into his knees and cried some more.
I stayed where I was and said, “No Harry, I’m not going to go away. I already lost one brother I will not lose another!” ‘That was super cheesy!!!’ I thought, ‘COME ON LOU!! You can do better than that!!’ It had the wanted affect though. Harry turned around and didn’t push/shun us out and he smiled softly. We still cried though…We may have lost a ‘brother’ but somewhere Liam’s family had lost a brother (a real one), nephew, grandson, cousin, and possibly an uncle. Our fans had lost ‘their boyfriend’ and we had lost a member. In short we had our Liam.
