These Chapters of Our Lives ~ COMPLETED

Work Maybe

Harmony’s POV
I woke up early the next morning, only to find that I was wearing the same itchy dress from the other night. Oh, how I yearn to get out of this dress. Looking left and right, I noticed that I was alone in bed, not that I even remember getting here last night.

I slowly lift my body up, stretching my arms out over my head as I let out a big yawn. Heaving my legs to the side, I sat on the edge of the bed. The time on my bedside table read 3:21, so Harry should still be at work.

Using the backs of my hands, I rubbed the rest of the sleep from my eyes and traipsed to the bathroom. As I made my way there, I slowly started to strip off the dreaded dress I was put in. I mean, Dani picked out a really cute dress, but the fabric was horrible.

I turned on the faucet, allowing hot water to stream out of the showerhead. I took my time scrubbing off the dark makeup and grime that had accumulated overnight.

After my shower, I quickly put on a pair of sweats and one of Harry’s t-shirts before heading of towards the kitchen. Breakfast may be out of the question, but I can’t wait for dinner to eat. Before I opened the fridge, I glanced at the post-it note left for me.

Harmony,
I had to get to work early and probably won’t be back until late. Didn’t want to wake you. Call me after you read this. I love you.
HarryXOXO

All right, I guess I’ll call him first then. I took out my phone and hit call. The phone rang twice before I heard his answer.

“Well, look who finally decided to wake up. Sleep well?”

“Just fine. When did we get home last night?”

“Um… Around one, I think. I had to carry you out of the car and all the way up to the seventh floor. It was exhausting!” he exasperated.

“Ha-ha. You know, I don’t know why you’re a singer when you could have been a comedian all along.”

“Really? You think I have a chance?” he asked making us both laugh. “Listen, I have to go, but everyone is heading to Lou’s for a movie night. Do you want to go?”

“Sure, I’ll probably call El and go early to see if she needs help.”

“More like to see your precious little godchild…”

“Hey!”

“Sorry, babe, but it’s true. You are too attached to that girl.”

“Ugh. You’re right, but can you blame me?”

“I guess not, and I really have to go now. I love you; see you later!”

“Love you, too, Harry. Bye.”

“Okay, the boys will be home any minute now,” Perrie said as she got back from her phone call with Zayn.

“Awesome! Now, can someone explain to me why they had to go to the studio today? I mean, Liam is gone, right?” Diane furrowed her eyebrows.

You know, the idea never even crossed my mind. Liam is gone; the boys still have work… It doesn’t really make sense. Who even got the boys to the studio early enough this morning?

“I’m not sure, but something doesn’t seem right all of a sudden,” I narrowed my eyes at my thoughts.

We all turned our heads to the sound of a key entering the lock. Seconds later, Louis’ voice echoed off the walls of the ginormous house, “Honey, I’m home!”

We all watched closely as the four boys took off coats and shoes, making themselves at home. Louis ran over and kissed Hailey on the cheek, taking her from Eleanor.

“So, how was work?” Eleanor smiled falsely.

“It was… good? I guess…” Louis struggled to answer the question.

“What did you guys do?” Diane asked directing her question towards Niall. She knows, just as the rest of us, that Niall is a weak link. We just haven’t mentioned anything about… well my… “Influencing.”

“We recorded for a little while,” Niall said straight, but he didn’t meet anyone’s eyes.

“Without Liam?” I ask.

Zayn covered for him, “Liam recorded his parts before he left. We’re just doing individual things for now.”

“Right… And it takes almost all day to record solos?” Perrie raised an eyebrow.

“Can we just stop with the questions? You girls are really starting to creep us out…” Harry interjected.

We, girls, simultaneously rolled our eyes and squished ourselves together on the big couch that sits in front of the television. Leaving no room for the boys, they were forced to sit elsewhere. Louis left to put Hailey to bed while Niall and Zayn awkwardly occupied the matching love seat, whereas Harry and Louis took the floor below our feet.

“Let’s watch the Titanic!” Eleanor said. The boys groaned.

“How about anything but a chick flick?” Niall faltered.

“Let’s just cut to the chase. It is… Louis’ turn to choose,” Zayn announced. We all groaned.

“Don’t hate! Appreciate! Now, how about Niall and Harry go make some popcorn while I put in the movie,” he smiled. Harry and Niall left to the kitchen while Louis happily put in his copy of… “War of the Worlds!”

“Isn’t that scary?” Diane quivered.

I laughed, “Not a chance. Even I like this movie. The screenplay is incredible and the digital effects are awesome!”

“Okay…” she stammered. We had soon learned that Diane had a massive fear of horror films like me, but she was definitely worse. In fact, her fear helped me realize that scary movies aren’t that scary, so I’ve become accustomed to the every so often flick.

“Since when did you become so brave about horror films?” Perrie whined. “I still get the creeps when I watch this movie.”

“I can hold you if you want,” Zayn offered. We all shot a glare at Zayn who cowered back in fear. These boys are still under careful watch because of these recent events.

“It’s okay, Per-bear. I’ll hold you!” I said and wrapped my arms around my friend. I turned my head and showed Zayn my tongue making Perrie laugh.

“You treat me right!” Perrie agreed and wrapped her arms around my waist.

“Diane, hold me!” El shouted. Diane gave in and soon all of us were cuddled up to our new partners.

“You know, if we didn’t have such hot boyfriends, I would turn for you girls,” I laughed.

“Aw/Ew…” the girls awed and stifled back fake tears while the boys made faces of disgust.

“So, what are we watching?” Niall asked as he came back into the room with a few bowls of popcorn and Harry in pursuit.

“And what did we miss…” Harry traveled off giving me a confused look.

I giggled as Perrie answered. “Harmony is mine now. I’m never giving her back.”

“Well then. I guess Zayn is mine then!” Harry said sitting on Zayn’s lap.

“What about me?” Louis frowned.

“Come at me bro!” Niall extended his arms. Louis leaped up into Niall’s arms. I know we could all feel the room storming in jealously, but we stayed strong and passed it off.

The boys started to look at each other really awkwardly creating a rather hilarious scene. I gave a small snicker in their direction as they started to dissipate from one another’s holds. Today, the girls are victorious, and we smile to ourselves as we watch this not-so-scary “horror” film.

Comments

@Lazylazerpants
I can't believe I just saw your comment! Thank you so much! I honestly don't think this series was that great, but if you really did enjoy it, you'll definitely enjoy my other story, Love At First Type, if you haven't read it already. You don't have to, but it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again! :D

So I spent the past week reading all three of these and I have to say, this was a fantastic end to a fantastic series. Great job!

@ThatRebelUnicorn
It is a compliment, I didn't know what word I should use and I thought "unusual" was the most appropriate :)
that's it! The cliffhanger was perfect though! It worked perfectly!

@Marbleskin
Still not sure if I should take "unusual stories" as a compliment, but thanks! To be completely honest, I completely agree that the ending of Listen To Your Heart was horrible, but I was kind of going for the cliff hanger thing like at the end of Catching Fire, but yeah… it sucked. I'm really glad that you liked the sequel though :D

Being honest, I was mad at the en of Listen to your heart, because to me, it wasn't a good ending. And I was so sad that it was over! Then, 2 hours ago, I realized that you wrote a sequel! I felt so stupid yet so happy!
I'm happy that you give the explanations of everything in the epilogue, what a brilliant idea! When I first read it, I was afraid that I missed it, that I could have skipped a chapter accidentally...
This sequel is amazing, you're still an amazing writer, & I truly like your other story too! Thanks for writing such good things and unusual stories!
