These Chapters of Our Lives ~ COMPLETED

Spotted

A crowd of people started rushing in around the exit where passengers from greater London would be exiting. I’m not sure why Danielle didn’t just go with Perrie and the others, but I suppose it was a round-trip plane ticket. Soon, I was pushed up against the wall between El and Diane, waiting for Danielle to come out.

People around us in various directions screamed out as their respectful others stepped out of the exit. I don’t want to sound racist, but there must be a lot of Asian travelers because at least half of the people who came out were like Chinese or something…

We had been standing for about half an hour, and we had yet to catch even a glimpse of Dani. People started to disperse from the crowded area, but my legs were starting to give in from standing.

“When is she going to get it through her mind that we still have to get to the other side of the airport? Where is she?” Eleanor nearly pulled her hair out trying to figure out what was taking Dani so long.

I turned to tell her that she would be out soon, but was cut off by Diane yelling out, “There she is!”

We all turned to look. Each of us was just able to make out the outline of her curls. I guess it truly had been too long as the three of us dashed in and out of people to try and tackle one girl in a giant hug.

“Dani!’ I squealed as I got to her first. I wanted to hug her but the new figure she held prevented me from doing so. Two other forces collided into the back of me, obviously confused as to why I had stopped in the front of her.

“I’m glad to see you all too?” Dani offered, but we were too speechless to say anything. I closed my dropped jaw and gulped at the sight. I struggled to get words out; instead pulling everyone into a more secluded part of this region.

“Oh my God, Dani… I don’t know what to say…” El stuttered out words.

“Well, I do! I’m so happy for you!” I say carefully taking her into the embrace I wanted to do earlier.

“Yeah, I mean… We weren’t really prepared for knowing this, but I’m incredibly happy for you!” Diane added taking her turn to hug our friend.

“Thanks, girls…”

“Does he know?” El asked.

“Yes. I told him as soon as I found out, but we decided that it would be best not to tell you all until I got here.”

Eleanor sighed. “Thank God. I don’t think I could go on another minute if he didn’t know.”

Dani laughed, “Yes, but I’ve seen that mistake made, so I think I know how to handle that situation.”

“Yes, as much as I would love to discuss this conversation, Perrie and the others are on the complete opposite end of the airport and we have like ten minutes to get there if we want to beat the rush,” I say hurriedly.

“Right, let’s get going!” Dani said taking one of her suitcases and allowing Diane and El help her with the other two. See… two suitcases and a carryon just for one month, give or take.

“Oh no…” Diane pouted looking out to the traffic outside. Two cars created a block in the lane we needed to take. It was a nasty crash and nearby airport attendants were trying to help to the best of their ability.

“It’s going to take a while before cars can pass by, and there are no alternate routes at the moment,” a worker nearby informed us.

People everywhere groaned trying to leave the airport or get to another section.

“You know what? You three go back to the vans and wait there. I’ll go pick them up and inform them of the traffic. We can get out through the back exit,” I say.

“Are you sure you can go alone?”

“I’ll be fine. Plus, it’s a secluded part of the airport, so I won’t be seen… I hope,” I add at the end.

“Fine, just be safe, and my number is on speed dial if you need backup,” El states.

“How did your number get on my speed dial?”

“Just go!” They start to walk away while I run in the contrast direction.

As I draw nearer to my destination, I finally start to notice all of the paparazzi and Mixers standing outside awaiting their arrival.

“Shit…” I mutter under my breath. “Well… Here goes nothing…”

I start to push my way through the crowd of screaming fans; it isn’t until halfway through the crowd that I get spotted.

“Everyone look! It’s Harmony!” one girl shouts. Suddenly the screams get louder and random people are pulling at me, trying to get my attention. Paps yell out questions to me, but all I do is smile and make my way through.

I don’t think I’ve truly understood the terror of going in and out of airports until I did so alone. I couldn’t make out any of the questions and caddy remarks from anyone, but I did get my share of hair pulls and attention “grabbers”.

I had to lean up against one of the walls to catch my breath once I got inside. I continue to breathe heavily as I walk about the mostly empty area that pretty much consisted of me and a few other security and janitorial workers.

“Harmony!” a noticeably blonde girl calls out.

She runs to me and I stay still. Once she reaches me, I’m tackled to the floor.

“I… can’t… breathe…”

“Sorry!” she says getting off of me. Another hand helps me up. “You look terrible! Where are the others?”

“I got caught in the crowd. They’re waiting in the vans in the back parking lot. There was a crash blocking the way here.”

“Okay. Well you know the rest of the girls. Jade, Leigh-Anne, Jesy,” she says.

“It’s so nice to finally see you again,” Jesy shrieks. I’m brought into a group hug.

“I’ve missed you all too. We really need to hang out more,” I say. “So how do we plan on getting to the back parking lot without getting trampled in the crowd?”

“I’ve got an idea,” Leigh-Anne pipes up. We watch as her eyes follow a golf cart.

“That’s bloody brilliant!” Jade exclaims. “Excuse me, Sir!”

~

“Ready?” a security member asks us. We’ve manage to pile up in three different golf carts luggage and all.

“We’re ready!” we all say.

“Okay. Here we go!”

I sit in the back of the second golf cart with Perrie. We laugh and throw our hands up as if we’re riding a roller coaster as we take off through the front entrance where I went through not too long ago.

We wave at the people we pass by once we get out of the crowd and snap a few pictures of each other as well. My phone beeps giving me a Twitter notification. I slide my screen to unlock and read the tweet.

@PerrieLittleMix: Finally reunited with my boo @HarmonyMattingly. Missed her sooooo much<3 http://media.whosay.com/306873/306873_la.jpg

“Aw… I missed you too, Per-bear!” I squeal. We both giggle enjoying the rest of the golf cart rampage.

Soon enough, we reach the back lot. We say our thank-yous to the airport staff and load up into the vans to make the trip back home.

@Lazylazerpants
I can't believe I just saw your comment! Thank you so much! I honestly don't think this series was that great, but if you really did enjoy it, you'll definitely enjoy my other story, Love At First Type, if you haven't read it already. You don't have to, but it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again! :D

So I spent the past week reading all three of these and I have to say, this was a fantastic end to a fantastic series. Great job!

@ThatRebelUnicorn
It is a compliment, I didn't know what word I should use and I thought "unusual" was the most appropriate :)
that's it! The cliffhanger was perfect though! It worked perfectly!

@Marbleskin
Still not sure if I should take "unusual stories" as a compliment, but thanks! To be completely honest, I completely agree that the ending of Listen To Your Heart was horrible, but I was kind of going for the cliff hanger thing like at the end of Catching Fire, but yeah… it sucked. I'm really glad that you liked the sequel though :D

Being honest, I was mad at the en of Listen to your heart, because to me, it wasn't a good ending. And I was so sad that it was over! Then, 2 hours ago, I realized that you wrote a sequel! I felt so stupid yet so happy!
I'm happy that you give the explanations of everything in the epilogue, what a brilliant idea! When I first read it, I was afraid that I missed it, that I could have skipped a chapter accidentally...
This sequel is amazing, you're still an amazing writer, & I truly like your other story too! Thanks for writing such good things and unusual stories!
