Clash

I ended up in an apartment, with soundproof walls, which is good because now I can practice piano without people complaining that I’m too loud. I start to unpack but notice the lack of furniture, I’m happy to see that there is a nice bathroom with a bathtub and a clean toilet, which was good.

I just needed to buy furniture and as I had enough money that wasn’t going to a problem. I drove to Ikea and started looking through everything, I had dyed my hair from blond to dark brown and I was wearing a beanie and a different coat. I only put eye liner on my eyelid and some mascara but that was about it and I was wearing glasses. I looked like a typical student and I was okay with that because now I was just blending in. I walked towards the sofa’s when I felt someone stare at me. I turned around nonchalant just so that no one would think I was scanning my surroundings, when my eyes fell on Bradley.

I swear my heart stopped when I saw him but he was actually smiling at me and not the normal evil smile no this was his I really fancy you smile and that alarmed me. When he saw that I spotted him, he came walking to me. I saw his guys adjust to him and I know that one of those guys was Harry because I felt him in the room. “Poppy was it right?” he asked politely and I just nodded almost betraying by telling him I didn’t know who he was talking about. “Yeah, Bradley right?” I countered back and he nodded in a charming way. “I’m sorry for disturbing you but I couldn’t help myself. I just had to say hello when I saw you staring at those sofas’.” he pointed to the sofa I was standing in front of.

“Oh, it’s okay but I’m really busy so if you don’t mind, I really should continue.” I said as friendly as possible but he was still smiling, I looked in his eyes to see if the smile also reached his eyes and to my surprise it did. How could he not see that I was Anna, I didn’t look that different. “I was just wondering if maybe you have a sister?” what an odd question.
“No not that I know of, why?” I asked him, just curious about his next words. “You just really look like this girl Anna.” He shrugged and I was happy to know that I was already really pale because it would have betrayed me if I turned from red to pale. I felt the blood rushing through my veins and I was just praying he didn’t suddenly recognize me.

“Oh was she important to you?” I asked him and sometimes I wish I could shut up and this was that moment, I blamed my curiosity. “She was but not as important as that guy over there. They were sort of a package deal but she left.” He said as he pointed to the guy in the back. It was Harry and he was staring intensely at me and when our eyes met, I know he knew who I was. I pleaded him with my eyes not to say anything to Bradley and eventually he nodded slightly and turned his head away from me to scan the room again. “I’m sorry that she left but I really have to go now, if I want to have furniture by tomorrow.” I smiled my nicest smile at him and he nodded and motioned for the boys to walk into the next room. “It was lovely to see you again Poppy, I’m looking forward for our next meet up.” He grabbed my hand and pressed a kiss on it. It took everything in me not to vomit all over him. I kept the smile carefully intact and nodded as I pulled my hand back. “Till next time.” I turned and walked to a different sofa and when I looked over my shoulder he was gone. I’m not sure why Harry decided to help me out but I was grateful that he did because otherwise I would be dead by now.

I sat down and took an anxiety pill and just waited till it worked. After a few minutes it finally began to work as I felt calm and collected again. The thing with these pills are that they also mute the thoughts in my head, which made it easier to focus on the task at hand and that was to pick out furniture for my new place. I picked out a crème coloured sofa and two lazy chairs in the same colours. I walked to the table section and picked out a lovely dining table of dark wood and four matching chairs. I picked out the pillows for the seats and they were also a lovely crème colour. I picked out a coffee table and a table for my TV and other stuff, like a Blu-ray player. I walked into the section with closets. I picked out lot of shelves and the things I needed to hang them on my wall, because I was planning on making a little library in my living room. I also picked out a few drawer stands, so I could put in crap that I don’t use or stuff that not everyone had to see. Next thing on the list was a desk with chair and everything that went with a small office. I just ordered the whole set. I had a old looking desk, a comfortable chair but it wasn’t one with wheels. I had some filing cabinets and even a bin. I bought a laptop standard so that it was tilted a bit.

The next thing I was going to buy was a bed. I needed a comfortable bed, which was soft but also really good for your back. I looked around and saw that they had example rooms and one just stood out so I just ordered everything in that room. I had made my list and walked downstairs to the actual shopping area and grabbed a cart. I loaded in dishes but as I didn’t want the boring round ones, I went for the square ones and I grabbed knives, forks, spoons in different sizes. Also baking tray’s, pans and pots. I picked out cute table cloths and bowls, sadly enough I had to get wooden ones or stainless steels because they didn’t have other bowls, yeah the one made out of glass but let’s be honest those are never really that handy especially when you have parties or something like that.

When I was done on the kitchen section I walked straight into the bed section. I picked out 5 different sheets, all different colour but mostly light colours, as I didn’t need any more darkness in my life. I picked out 4 types of pillows and I even got drapes for in front of my windows, it was going to be tricky but I had the measurements so it shouldn’t be that difficult right?

When I walked into the room with the carpets I immediately choose a Persian rug because they are so beautiful and it would suit my theme in the living room. For my bedroom I picked out a carpet with small flowers and it was so soft. I had also a standard rug for my bathroom and for when you walked into my house. The next things I was going to buy were towels. I bought purple towels for the shower and of course towels for drying your hands and guest towels. I bought some toilet articles and a laundry bin. I walked into the lamp section and picked out a beautiful ceiling lamp and a few regular lamps for in the hallway, kitchen and bathroom. I bought a few floor lamps for in my room and the living room. Lastly I walked into the decoration section and I picked up some paintings and a few mirrors. I grabbed candle stuff and a few photo frames. When I was finally done, my cart was piling out. It was ridiculous but it was what I needed.

I paid for everything and it was way too much to say it out loud but believe me it was a lot, now I just had to make sure they were the ones who picked it out for me and brought it home to me. I was talking about the furniture because I could manage the other things myself. I had a big car, so that would not be a problem at all. I made the order and was happy they could bring it to my house tomorrow morning. After paying I walked to my car with the cart and I was loading up my car when I felt a hand on my shoulder. My hand flew instantly to my gun which was tucked away in my waistband, when I saw who it was. I didn’t calm down much but enough to not kill him on the spot. Harry was in front of me but he looked nothing like the Harry who had held me in his arms the night before it all went wrong. This Harry was different and kept his distance he even let go of my shoulder.

I took a deep breath before turning around, “What do you want?” I snapped at him and he didn’t even blink but he kept his eyes on my hand which still held my gun. I didn’t pull it out but he knew that I had a gun there. “I’m here to help you.” He gestured to the stuff still in my cart. I must’ve looked dumbfounded because he sighed deeply, as if I was the dumbest ass woman he’d ever met. “Bradley told me to help you, so here I am. He even told me to drive you home.” As if.

“Yeah, over my dead body, you can help me load in this car but that’s were your help ends, do you understand. If I find out you are following me, I will kill you.” I threatened him but he didn’t show any emotion, he just kept staring at me and eventually nodded. “I wont follow you to your house but he will find out who you are eventually, you know that right Anna?” my head snapped back up. He stood there in front of me without so much as an emotion on his face. I narrowed my eyes at him and as I felt the rage build in me, he shook his head slightly. “I wouldn’t do anything stupid now because if you think he isn’t around to see if I’m being friendly to you he will come over here.” I shuddered at the thought.

I stepped aside to let him load everything in and when he was done, he waited for something. “What?” I snapped at him and he smirked at me. “Well I just helped you didn’t I?” I nodded and that’s when it hit me, he wanted me to say thank you. I wish I could stick it right up his ass. “Do not follow me to my house, I will know.” I said through clenched teeth. I got into my car and drove off, without a single glance back.
