Clash

I sighed when I saw their joy and hope because I had to crush it. “What are we waiting for then? Let’s go get him out of there!” they were all running for the door but all stopped when they heard me pull the safety from my gun. They all turned their heads with shocked expressions.

“What are you doing Anna?” I walked up to them. “She is not going to shoot us, lets just go.”
This was Michael and next thing I know I pull the trigger and shoot hin straight in his leg not wanting to hurt him too much but everyone was looking at me as if I lost my mind. “get your asses back in that living room.” I was acting braver then I was actually feeling but I had to be a strong fort right now. They had to understand why Harry wasn’t worth saving.

“Okay here is the deal. There is no saving Harry.” I paused when they began to tell me how stupid I was and that Harry shouldn’t have left me in charge. I shot the person who said that, which was Rose. I shot her in the arm and that shut everyone up. “I’m not kidding, I’m deadly serious, there is no saving Harry because he has joined Bradley, he was the one who betrayed our position.” I let it fester a bit. “What do you mean?” Liam asked confused. I sighed again because I was really not in the mood to tell them all about the crazy day we had. “Okay, I was walking back from one of the empty sheds, when I felt someone watching me so I stopped and hid behind some bushes. I’m not sure how long I laid there in the dirt but eventually I spotted someone walking back to the house but when he turned around, I could see that it was Harry but it wasn’t the normal Harry, it was a even darker version of Harry, as if they took away all his pills and just let him do whatever he want.” I took a breath and someone gave me a glass of water, I took a sip before continuing.

“Eventually he turned back around and made his way back to the house, which I took as my cue to run back to the van to tell Niall and when he called you guys, I saw something on one of the screens, there was movement and when they got closer I could see it was Bradley and his gang, they were walking towards us so when Niall saw that he jumped behind the wheel and got us out of there.” I finished with a sigh and a sip of my water. I let myself fall in one of the empty chairs. The room was completely silent, which was scary. I prefer it if they were yelling at each other or me but now it was deafening. I saw that the light that was burning before in their eyes was no longer glowing. “Are you sure it was Harry?” I nodded at Louis. “I am sure it was Harry, there was no doubt about that and it really didn’t seem like he needs us to rescue him.” I said gently.

“So, what now?” Olly asked and I could see he already knew the answer. “I want you all to go live your lives. I’m not saying this is the end for always but for now it is. It’s too dangerous to do anything and with Harry on their side, we can’t stay here any longer, so I’m selling the house next thing tomorrow.” I checked the room to see if anyone was going to protest but apparently no one was going to. “I want this house clear by tomorrow, so please get the stuff you want or need and leave.” I got up and walked to the kitchen but they all followed me.

“I want to thank you all for everything you have done for me and also for Harry and believe when I say that there will be a day that we will get our revenge and when that day comes I will let you all know but for now all I want for you is to be happy and build a future.” They nodded and started hugging each other and eventually me. “Are you coming back to college?” Olly whispered in my ear and to be honest I hadn’t even thought about that but maybe I should.

“Maybe, let me first figure out where I am going to live.” I told him. He let go of me and saluted me with a smile. When everyone was gone the next morning, the house was almost empty. I had also packed up my stuff and Harry’s stuff was going to a storehouse, I even wrote a note to him, to let him know where he could find his stuff. It was a business like message and as soon as Louis drove of with his stuff I immediately felt as if there was a huge weight lifted from my shoulders.

Niall was also awake and a bit confused as he saw the house almost empty except for the furniture. “Are we going somewhere?” He asked me when he saw me putting the boxes in my rented car. I turned around and had to restrain myself from hugging him. “I’m selling the house today and the others already took their stuff, I suggest you do the same.” I told him and without saying another word he walked back inside. I stopped and just stared at the door, whilst rubbing my shoulder, which was still aching from the bullet that went in there. I had successfully kept it a secret for everyone and I just helped myself in the bathroom, which was difficult but I succeeded and that was all that matters. It hadn’t bothered me until now, this probably was because I had been lifting a lot of things.

Niall came walking out the house with only one box. “I thought you had more stuff?” He shook his head and walked to his car. He didn’t get in though but instead he came walking back to me. “What now?” he asked me curiously. I shrugged because I had no clue what I was going to do.

“I don’t know, be happy I guess.” I saw hope flicker in his eyes and I know he was hoping that this meant we could be together but I was going to crush that. “Niall, we can’t, it’s to dangerous and you know that.” I told him as gently as possible. He knew I was right and the hurt that was in his eyes, broke me and next thing I know, I’m sobbing. Niall pulls me into his arms and we just hold each other tight, he kisses me on my head and when we eventually pull back he kisses me softly on the lips and I know this is his goodbye. He pulls back and walks to his car and gets in without looking back and I stare after him and when he is fully out of sight, I close the trunk of my car and drive of as well.
