“I think I’m going to take Julia out,” I said to Calum that night as we were getting ready for bed, “For a girls’ day or something.”

“And we’re brining the twins with?” Calum asked.

I suddenly felt really uncomfortable. I automatically assumed Calum wouldn’t want to go to a girls’ day.

But Calum, knowing me as well as he does, could tell what I was thinking. A smile broke across his face. “I’m kidding. I’ll stay here with them tomorrow. Go have girls’ day.”

“You know,” I said to Calum as I came up and hugged him from behind, “We can have guys night tonight.” I followed by gently biting on his ear.

“Okay.” He said turning around, kissing me. “I mean, if that’s what you want.” He followed by rubbing his hands down my butt.

“Take off your pants!” I silently screeched as he picked me up and gently tossed me on the bed.

The next morning, I asked Julia if she wanted to come with me today to go get manis and pedis. I explained that Calum would stay to watch the children.

“Um…girl day?” Julia asked.

A huge smile cracked across my face, impressed she knew what that. “Exactly.” I said back .

When Julia and I were in the massage chairs, I realized that I couldn’t believe how long it had been since I had done this.

My phone buzzed while in the chair and I saw it was a text from Calum.

Sorry, but I have to cut your girls’ day short. Mali called. She’s getting married in three days. We have to go clothes shopping. –Calum
