Icing on the Cake
Chapter Six
~6~
The next day, I asked Calum if he wanted to hang out again.
“Two days in a row?” Calum asked. “What an honor!”
“You should feel lucky!” I said.
We walked home after class ended, and when we got to my house, I ran inside and locked him out. I was initiating the game.
Calum smirked at me through the door window and ran to the other door. I got a horribly late start and he ran in the house, no contest. He knocked me down and started tickling me.
I was very susceptible to ticking and admitted that I was at his mercy right away. Our after school hang out routine was going very normal, and it made me feel very comfortable. We were in my room, lying on my bed, listening to music.
“Calum?” I started.
“Yeah?” He asked.
“Thank you for not treating me any different.” I said. “After, finding out.”
“I don’t see you any different, Lukey.” Calum responded.
I was feeling somewhat confident, and was thinking of telling him how I had feelings for him. Telling him I’m gay went so well, why not tell him I love him?
“So I was thinking,” I said.
“Yeah?”
“About prom…” I didn’t say anything for a moment.
“Yeah?”
I was going to ask him to go with me. “Do you know who you’re going with?”
