Icing on the Cake
Chapter One Hundred and Seventy-Seven

“Can you please just tell me what to wear?” I asked Calum the next day as he excitedly planned our Julia-recommended date night.
“Skinny jeans?” Calum suggested, “And a t-shirt?”
“So…dress normal?” I asked.
“Sure? Just wear what you would wear in high school.”
“To relive the worst years of my life? Besides, should I be worried that we are going to have a high school themed date night?”
“Don’t be worried.” Calum reassured with a mischievous grin.
“Are we going to your parent’s basement to play video games, then close mouth kiss for like two hours before passing out on an old couch?”
“No…but I’ll put that on my list of date ideas.”
“I still don’t know how we managed to kiss with our mouths closed for two hours straight?” I pondered. “Like, did we just bob our heads back and forth for two hours?”
“Pretty much.”
“If you take me on a date to your old basement, then you better strip naked in front of me just to put on those blue board shorts like you did that one time.”
“Oh my God I still have those!” Calum exclaimed.
“Those are the same ones!” I confirmed, thinking of how Calum's board shorts are always blue when we go swimming. “In six years, you never bothered to get new ones?”
“Nah. What’s the point?”
Fair enough.
