Icing on the Cake
Chapter One Hundred and Thirty-Four
~134~
“And I want to tell you everything the words I never got to say the first time around. And I remember everything from when we were the children playing in this fairground.” Mimi sang.
She took a break from singing. “I’ve always loved you, Calum.”
My jaw dropped I stormed over to her.
“If the whole world was watching I’d still dance with you. Drive highways and biways to be there with you.” She kept singing.
“What are you doing?” I imploded. “That’s my fiancée!”
“It’s just a song!” She said innocently.
“A song you dedicated to my fiancée! In which song you said, I’ve always loved you, Calum. What is that supposed to mean?”
Calum looked at her suspiciously. Why wasn’t he doing anything?
“Leave my house.” I ordered.
“Calum, don’t make me leave.”
I looked over at Calum, wanting him to do something.
“Please leave, Mimi.” He said.
She looked really upset. I saw her raise her hand to slap him, but Calum had quick reflexes and slapped it away. “Leave.” He said.
After a second, she stormed out. After the door slammed, there was a really awkward silence that seemed to last forever.
Finally, Calum broke the silence. “Well, who wants plum pudding?”
