Icing on the Cake
Chapter One Hundred Four
~104~
“What is he doing here?” I asked, pissed off and a little scared.
“Just calm down for a second.” Mali said. “I’m not justifying what he did, but we’ve been talked, and I’ve decided to start seeing him again.”
“You’re what!?” Calum asked, befuddled.
“I’m not saying we’re getting married tomorrow.” Mali said. “But neither of us can deny that we still love each other.”
“Hello, Luke.” Brock said as he was walking up onto the patio. His words were dripping with condescension.
I thought of every shitty thing he had ever done to me in my life. I thought about how he beat me up for being gay when I was sixteen, how he tried to fuck with my mind when I was nineteen, how he tried to marry Mali for the Hood family money, and how he tried to kill me in a church after I exposed him.
“Get the hell off my property.” Calum threatened him.
“Calum, please,” Mali said. “If he goes then I go."
“That’s what he wants, Mali. To tear us apart. Can’t you see? Why are you with him?” Calum asked.
“If you’re going to be like this, I’m done.” Mali said.
She walked away.
“You’re going to be sorry you fucked with me.” Brock snarled before he walked away.
“What the hell does that mean, bitch?” I said, surprised I had the guts to say that.
Brock had one comeback before walking away. “Who do you think got your little Russia commie twins arrested?”
