H A R R Y

Mila and I, after sometime of boredom, began playing Battleship and it was pretty intense. Right now, our eye contact was not faltering, but it was hard to concentrate as her grey eyes were making me want to look away. “F7,” she said confidently. I hung my head in shame because I lost to a girl in Battleship. I looked up and she smiled in victory.

“You sunk my battleship,” I said in defeat. I hadn’t even got a single hit and she won! “What’s your secret?” I asked her.

“I can’t tell you that,” she said while we moved our play pieces. “That’s confidential.” She gave me a smirk and I was curious to find out how she won.

“I never lose, especially in Battleship!” I began to pout and she laughed at my child-like behavior, but I was seriously serious.

“Always expect the unexpected.” I sighed and went over to my stack of board games, which I didn’t pick up until now. It was Mila’s idea of course.

“So I have Connect Four, checkers, Chutes & Ladders, Yahtzee.” The list could go on, but I stopped to look behind me. She tapped her finger against her cheek pretending to think and it was adorable. I could get used to that image.

“You’re so going down in Connect Four,” She said making it known.

I smirked while bringing it over and sitting back down criss cross on the floor. “Darling, I think you’re wrong about this,” I said getting the game started.
