Summary

. . .I stopped momentarily at the red light. I glanced over at Mila and took in every detail that made her. She had one of her curious faces on. For someone who has never left Virginia, Mila was very fascinated by the snow. She carefully watched the snowflakes fall down from the dark skies. It was like watching a bunch of white lights in a choreographed dance. She turned her head toward me and smiled. That had been one of my favorite moments with her. That smile. It would be the last smile I'll see from her in a while. To be specific, it would be sixty-nine days until I would see her icy blue eyes again. That's ninety-nine thousand three hundred sixty minutes. Ninety-nine thousand three hundred sixty minutes I could have had holding her hands, walking her to class, laying on my bed having pointless conversations, late night texts, telling her how beautiful she looks, kissing her always honey coated lips. . . Ninety-nine thousand three hundred sixty minutes I wasted not telling her I loved her. . .

While being a single father to Mila and Jackson, he is also the head coach of the football team and Athletic Director at Chesapeake. He will protect his daughter at all costs.

Sophia is Mila's childhood best friend but Sophia can sometimes get jealous of her achievements.
