Winter

Three.

We arrived at one of the cottages and were unpacking when I bumped into Harry who was looking at the cottage next to us and it got my attention as well as I heard a girl scream in excitement. I glanced around his shoulders and couldn’t help but smile when I saw the two girls hugging each other because one of the girls was the girl I knocked over.

This was just too good and I snorted when I heard Harry mumble something about one of the girls being hot. He heard me and turned his attention back to me. “What?” he asked me sounding busted. “I don’t mind you find one them hot but it better not be the one with the auburn hair. He shook his head when suddenly he got a shocked expression. “Wait, is she?” He asked not even finishing his sentence and I just nodded. “Jep that’s her, what are the coincidences right?”

We were staring at her when she suddenly faced us and her eyes glanced over us and we watched her shrug before she walked inside. This made me laugh because she didn’t recognise us, this also made me wonder how something like that was possible or maybe she was just pretending not to recognise us, just not to freak us out but that didn’t explain her behaviour. “She has issues.” Was all Harry said before walking into the house, with his bag on his back and maybe he was right but that didn’t stop me from wanting to meet her.

Winter;

I walked in and was met by the warmth of the fire place. I looked around whilst getting out of my coat. It looked like I stepped back in time but also stayed in the same time. The furniture looked like it belonged in 2015 but the house itself looked like it was from the 17th century. “Winter had finally arrived.” I heard the pun, which could only belong to Liz as she was the Game of Thrones fan. “Ha ha, very funny Liz.” I hugged her and she released me, she held me at a distance to check me out. “Did you loose weight?” she asked and I was happy that she saw it because I did loose weight, which was not easy at first.

“Yes I did, I run.” I added because she would ask me that anyway. “Well you look amazing.” She said with her warming smile. I felt at home immediately and I let myself fall on the sofa, which was way softer than I had expected. “Whoa, someone please help me get up.” I joked but I still got help from a manicured hand, which could only belong to the princess of the group. “Let me help you love.” I looked into the grey eyes of Bella and I smiled at her and grabbed her hand. She pulled me up and hugged me. “It’s was about time you arrived, I mean we have been dying to go explore this town but we had to wait for you.” She gave me a little shove but I know it was just her way of telling me she missed me.

“Talking about exploring, have you seen our neighbours? I asked them, thinking about the guy with the blond hair and the one with long hair, now that I thought about it, they actually looked familiar but I was sure I hadn’t met them. “No, what about our neighbours?” they were circling me now, acting way too curious. “I don’t know but they looked kind of hot.” I shrugged but as the word hot left my mouth they were already running towards the door, just to check them out. “WAIT!” I yelled at them, just to stop them from running outside and ambush the guys. “What?” Elena asked me, she was acting like I had lost my mind.

“You can’t ambush them like this and you still need to show me my room.” I know I was being a pain in the ass but I also didn’t want them to embarrass themselves by acting like teenage girls. “Damn Winter, you know how to spoil things, let’s go.” Liz told me as we climbed the stairs. I followed her and my room was at the end of the hallway. I opened the door and my mouth fell open when I saw the size of this room. “Are all the rooms like this?” I asked her and when she nodded, my guilt disappeared because I didn’t want to steal the biggest room.
“This room looks amazing.” I mumbled, whilst looking around. The walls had a warm brown colour, which matched the wooden floor. There was a crème coloured rug on the floor under the bed, which was huge and it really looked soft. The drapes in front of the window were also crème coloured and I had my own balcony and there was even a small fireplace with chairs in front of it. There wasn’t a tv in the room but that wouldn’t be a problem.

“So what do you think?” I heard Elena ask and as I turned around to face her something outside grabbed my attention. I walked over to the window and looked out over the garden, when a guy appeared into my view, it was the same guy as I saw earlier.
He was talking to someone on the phone but it was like he knew I was staring at him because he lifted his head to my window and when we locked eyes he even smiled at me and waved. I was stunned at first but waved back eventually. It was an awkward wave but still I did wave back.

“Who are you waving at?” Bella appeared next to me and as she spotted him, she turned her attention to me and I know she was smiling mischievously at me. “He is hot, we should introduce ourselves.” She made her way to my door and I just followed her even though I had said we shouldn’t ambush them.

“Girls, we are going to meet the guys next door.” I heard cheers coming from the living room and I already groaned in embarrassment but still followed them outside. We didn’t even put on our coated and god it was cold outside but at least it was dry. “This really isn’t a good idea, what are we going to say to them?” I asked them but they acted like they didn’t hear me, damn hormones. I shook my head and kept following them when they suddenly stopped in front of their door.

“Winter, you should knock.” They actually pushed me in front of them. I took a step back but they pushed me right back. I took a deep breath feeling slightly annoyed by them but still knocked on the door, which was pulled open by a brown haired guy. He looked like he worked out a lot and that’s when Elena sighed. I turned around to see her swoon at the guy, I turned my focus back on the guy. “Hi, so we are uhm your neighbours.” I told him and before he could say anything I heard Elena mumble something.

“What was that Elena?” I asked her without taking my eyes off of the guy in front of me, who was smiling now. “That’s Liam Payne.” I was clueless and pulled up one of my eyebrows when I heard him chuckle. “She recognised me, well there goes my cover.” I was totally confused. “Hi I’m Liam and you are?” he was smiling at me and I couldn’t help but to smile back.

“Hi I’m Winter and these lovely ladies are, Elena, Bella and Liz.” I waved my hands in their direction. “It’s nice to meet you ladies, do you fancy a cup of hot cocoa?” he asked and Elena didn’t even answer but just went inside, I was standing there watching her disappear inside the house. “Am I missing something?” I asked quietly, when I heard Bella giggle. “Really Winter? Have you been living under a rock the last five years?” she asked me playfully, she had her phone in her hand and that’s when I heard a song. That’s when it all clicked. We were dealing with the biggest band on the planet.

“Wait, One Direction, really?” I turned back to Liam who was still smiling at me and he nodded. “Nice to meet you.” He said cheekily as he moved out of our way to let us in.
