Dog-Walkers

"You did?" He asked, setting me down looking me straight in the eye. "Y-yes, I did." I stuttered. "But please just let me explain myself." I pleaded.
"I'm listening." He said, showing no emotion.
"I wrote that song about Luke, yes. But I had so much trouble completing it that I just stopped writing it. When he found that out, he became angry and slapped me until my face was numb. I stopped writing that song and when I met you, I realized that you were the one for me. When I went to get ready for our date, I finished it and put it on a c.d. for the DJ to play." I said truthfully. I didn't know what Louis would think of that and I didn't know if he heard me because I was looking down the whole time.
Louis then lifted my chin up, so that way I was looking at him. It was then that I saw how close he was to me, and I was terrified about what he might do. He just stared down at me while I looked up at him. I looked at his expression and he looked hurt. I couldn't bear to see him like that anymore. I ran from there and to anywhere else really. He'd find me at the humane society. He'd find me at my parent's grave. He'd obviously find me at the park. There was one place I could go where he wouldn't find me. So I kept running until I reached my friend Athena's house and knocked.
"Hey Bellz!" She said after opening the door.
"Hey. I like what your wearing." I said, trying not to show my feelings.
"Come in and tell me what's up." She said.
I told her everything from One Direction breaking in, to my ex trying to kidnap me and about Louis. I also told her that's the reason why I came and that I just needed a friend right now. "Yeah you know I'm always here for you, B. I'm sorry about all that. Do you want to spend the night tonight?" "Yes puh-lease." We both laughed at that. I come visit Athena so much, I have back up everything because I used to live with her until I decided to move back into the shelter.
Later. . .
"Oh come on, A! Really?" I exclaimed as she beat me in just dance for the sixth time in a row.
She roared into laughter after I screamed in frustration. I started laughing with her until we heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get it!" Athena said. I decided while I was waiting to do a dance by myself. I stopped when Athena came up. "Hey, Belle?" "Yeah?" "You should come downstairs." "You just want me to lose, don't ya?" I joked, pausing the game and going downstairs.
I saw on the table there were six roses and six violets tied together with a card that said my name on the front and on the inside it said:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I'm so sorry for getting upset with you.

I just stood there in shock. I closed the card and turned back to Athena. I think both of us were confused but we shook it off and began doing just dance again. I finally started beating her at it, but she always won in the end. I look at the time and realize we should probably get ready for bed.Athena and I got dressed and went to watch a movie. She surprised me by picking out One Direction: This Is Us.

"Really A?" I asked.

"What?" She asked me innocently. We both started laughing and I shook my head. We were watching the movie and did what we always did. Danced along to the songs whenever they came on. About halfway through, there was a knock at the door. I went down to see who it was.

"Laura!" I exclaimed.

"Hey Bellz!" She said. We gave each other a hug as if we hadn't seen each other in weeks. It's been three stinking days. Athena came down and we did a group hug. We went upstairs and started asking her a lot of questions. "How long have you been in town? Did you just get back?" "I never left town." "WHAT?!" Me and Athena yelled in unison. "You'll never believe this, but Niall from One Direction is my brother."

I nearly choked to death. I just stared at her. I stared at her for like seven minutes. Before I could say anything, the doorbell rung. I went downstairs - for the third time in the last hour. Must I say? - and opened the door. I couldn't believe who I saw.

"Louis. . ." I said, tensing up a little.
