Struggle - H.S.

I didn't really know where I was going but I just ran till I saw that little book shop we walked passed earlier today and I quickly went in and hid myself in the back. I was thankful that there were no windows in the back so I just let myself fall on one of the chairs. I needed to catch my breath. what was up with those guys and why did they treat me like that? I would have come with them if they just asked me for crying out loud but instead they demanded it, which I didn't like at all.

I saw the owner approach me and she just looked at me "Are you alright dear?" she asked sounding worried and what was it with older people calling younger people "dear"? She sounded sweet though. "Yeah I just ran all the way here and I needed to catch my breath for a second, I hope you don't mind?" I asked softly and when I looked up at her she had a soft smile on her face "Of course not, take as much time as you need but be sure you buy something before you leave the shop" I nodded and I just sat there. I felt my phone vibrate, which freaked me out because it could only be Harry so when it stopped vibrating I quickly turned off my phone.

I got up and looked through the shelves and I was pleased that she had a lot of old books as well as new ones and I quickly got lost in the world of books and I already had 4 books in my hand and was now sitting on the floor reading 'me before you' by Jojo Moyes and I lost all track of time when the lady came back. "Dear, I'm going to close" I looked up and felt a blush make t's way to my cheeks "My god I didn't realise it was already that late, I'm sorry ma'am" I said apologetic and she just smiled. She reminded me of my grandmother for some unknown reason.

"It's okay dear, you know I was wondering are you looking for a job?" She asked and I couldn't be happier because even though I really didn't need the money, I wanted a job so I could save money for the future. "I do want a job, why are you asking?" I asked politely even though I already knew what she was going to say "I'm looking for someone who wants to work in the shop at Thursday night, Friday's, and Saturday's because let's be honest dear, I'm getting a bit older and I need someone who wants to work those shifts"

"I would love to work on those days miss" I said happily and that earned me a smile, I followed her to the counter and put my books on there, she then gave me a paper, that I had to fill in with all my personal details, she then went over the salary and it wasn't much but I was happy with it. I signed without even thinking about it and I wished her a goodnight and left the shop, excited for my first day, which was in 3 days from now.

I turned in my phone again because I didn't exactly know my way back home so I needed to use the Google maps thingy on my phone. When I turned it on it was overtaken by messages but I ignored them and got on my way and I discovered that I lived really nearby and that made me happy because then I didn't have to walk or take the bus to the shop. I quickly walked to my front door but before I could reach it, 3 boys got in my way, they walked up until they stood in front of me.

Harry, Liam and that Niall guy stood in front of me and I had to stifle a giggle at the redness around there eyes but I stopped myself when I saw Harry's expression as he walked towards me and I couldn't take any step back because I was already pressed to the fence. "Damn fence" I cursed under my breath and I refused to look at him knowing fully well that he was really angry.

He grabbed my chin in a tight grip and it actually really hurts, he lifted my face so I was now staring in his eyes and it made me feel really scared, as he looked down right evil and I looked at the guys behind him and they were quietly laughing now. I realised they were laughing at me and that made me even more terrified of the boy who held my chin in a death grip. "Where were you?" he said through clenched teeth and I didn't really want to answer him so I kept my mouth shut and then he did something I didn't expect, he hit me hard and my head fell back a little "You answer me when I ask you something, you hear!" He said angry and my eyes were wide open now as I tried to blink away my tears. "I was at a bookstore," I mumbled and he let go of my chin and I immediately rubbed my face softly. I still felt the sting of his hand.

"Now that wasn't that hard was it?" He asked me with humour in his voice, he found this funny. That boy has issues if you ask me and also a guy never hit me and it was something I'd never wanted to feel ever again. "No it wasn't. I'm sorry," I said softly and he nodded. "Normally I would punish you more then this but because you are still getting used to your surroundings, I will let this slide but don't defy me again" he warned and I nodded my head like crazy.

"Good girl" he said to me as if I was a dog and that made me furious but I had to push it down and next thing I know he pushes his mouth to mine and kissed me but I refused to kiss him back but I also couldn't push him away as he was holding my arms and I just waited for him to finish but I never kissed back. "Come on love, kiss back" He said through moans and I ignored it and when I thought he was done he bit my lower lip and then he pulled back. "You will kiss me back soon love, just wait and see" he said with his low raspy voice and I just wished that I could crawl under a rock and stay there.

"I will never kiss you back Harry because you disgust me!" I said through clenched teeth and he only laughed "You will love" he said whilst caressing my cheek, which was still hurting and I pulled my head from his hand and that made him slap me again but this time it was a soft slap and he let me go. I quickly walked to my house when he said to his friends; "Let her pass guys, she wont go anywhere" He told the three boys and they let me go. At that point I ran to my door and threw it open. I scurried to my room locking myself in.
