Struggle - H.S.

“I didn’t run away, I just went in the other direction.” I said innocent and I was thanking myself for not being naked right now because in front of me stood Harry. He really looked angry but I was in a really good mood for once and he wasn’t going to ruin that. He walked over to where I was standing and I held my breath as I was holding my towel against my body and my underwear in my other hand.

“So you are saying that you didn’t go the other way just to cross Louis and ultimately me?” he asked me and I just stared at him without any emotion. “That’s exactly what I’m saying.” I was already backing up and if there would be a wall, I would scream, only out of frustration.
“Look, I don’t know why you are here but could you please leave, so I can shower?” I asked him as polite as possible.

“You can shower now if you want to.” he said to me with that annoying smirk, I really should have expected that answer but it still.

“Excuse me?” I said sounding really offended but he just shrugged. “You heard me.” He winked and my mouth dropped because he has never winked at me before. What the hell was wrong with him?

“Please leave Harry, I am in a hurry.” I waited for him to be rude to me again but he really surprised me when he nodded as if he remembered something. “Oh thats right, you have to work, well babe then I will see you later.” Just when I thought he would leave, he grabbed my arm and pulled me to him and pressed his lips on my lips. I immediately pushed him away and he let me for once.

When I looked at him, he was smirking, the fucking bastard. I wish I could slap that smirk from his beautiful face. Wait….what no not beautiful oh god, what was happening? I felt a blush spread over my face and I quickly looked at the ground, hoping he didn’t see that but he was already gone.

I let out the breath that I was holding the entire time. He was really giving me a permanent headache if he continued like this. I just couldn’t deal with him and his mood swings and it was stressing me out. I quickly jumped into the shower and emptied my head for just a few seconds because that was all I had.

I had to run to be in time but I know she wouldn’t mind if I was a few minutes late. I took a shortcut, hoping that there wouldn’t be assholes in the way this time. I made it in the nick of time and opened the shop 5 minutes after I arrived and to my surprise there were people waiting outside already. I was wondering where all those people were coming from, as school was almost starting but then again maybe they had to get books for their reading lists.

When I looked at the clock I saw it was already 4pm, which meant that it was almost closing time and I hadn’t even had the chance to eat something and my muscles were also really painful. I had to sit down for a second but there was no time because customers keep coming in and I was alone today so I had to help them all.

“Hi Anna.” Niall was standing just a few feet away from me but I really didn’t want to deal with him today or maybe I could use him to help out so I could sit down for a second. He really owed me anyway.

“Hi Niall, can you do something for me?” I asked.

“Sure, what can I do for you?” he asked me friendly and that was precisely what i needed today. “Will you please help out in the shop so I can sit down for a second, I haven’t had the chance to sit down all day. I didn’t had a single break from the moment I opened the shop.” I explained to him and he had a bewildered look on his face when I told him that.

“Whoa, you skipped lunch?” he said in horror and that actually made me giggle. “Yes, I did, so please help?” I pleaded with him and he was already pointing at the back room. “Yes of course, go sit.” he told me and I didn't have to think twice. “Thanks’ you are a lifesaver!” I quickly kissed him on the cheek and when I realised what I just did and I almost apologized for it. I mean if Niall was here that meant Harry was also really close by and I was praying to god he didn’t see anything.

I walked into the office and sat down with a cup of tea, this was exactly what I needed. Even if it was really warm outside everything got better with a nice cup of tea. I closed my eyes for just a few seconds when I felt someone staring at me and I quickly opened my eyes and saw Niall standing there watching me with a small smile on his face.

I looked at my phone and saw that it was already 5.30, which meant we were closed. I must’ve been more tired then I thought. Shit I just left Niall alone in the shop. “O my god, I’m so sorry Niall!” Niall didn't seem to mind though.

“It’s fine, you needed your sleep apparently.” he was right about that, as i had a lot of restless nights. “Yea I haven’t been sleeping that well lately.” but he looked like he already knew this.

“I know.” I wasn’t even going to ask him how he knew because he was friends with Harry and I was suspecting them to be in some sort of gang, why else was I being attacked yesterday.
“Thank you for your help Niall but I have to finish everything up now.” I really had to finish this up.

“It was my pleasure and I will see you tonight.” He told me but I didn't know what he was talking about. “Wait, tonight. I wasn’t planning on doing anything Niall.” I told him and that put a confusing expression on his face.

“Oh, Harry didn’t tell you?” he asked and I shook my head because he hadn't. “What didn’t he tell me?” I asked and I was already bumming out about this. “Shit, well uhm we are having a meeting and you have to be there as well.” He quickly explained whilst we walked to the register. I stopped midway when he said that because there was no way I was going to his house.

“Hell no, I’m not with you guys.” I told Niall angry, he put up his hands in surrender. “Please for your own sake, just come to Harry’s place.” he said and I sighed.

“I will think about it and if I were you, I wouldn’t let him know, that I know just in case he gets mad if I don’t show up.” I told him and Niall nodded and walked away. I quickly got the register and counted the money and I was pleased to see that we had made a lot of profit, which also meant that I had to place a new order of books.

When I was done it was already 6.30 and to be honest I was so tired. I walked the normal way back home because if I would run into one of Harry’s people they would only drag me to Harry and I would probably end up there anyway.

To my luck I walked into nobody, which was a bit weird but I loved it. I grabbed myself a sandwich and went straight up to bed. I ate that sandwich as if my life depended on it because I really just wanted to sleep and I couldn’t do that with food in my hand.
I opened my door and expected to see Harry sitting on my bed but he wasn’t here and I made a victory dance because of that. I closed my windows and locked them. What Harry didn’t know was that I had someone over to change the locks of every window and door, so this was going to be funny as I could report him for breaking in if he tried to get in.

I plopped down on my bed and fell asleep straight away. Suddenly there was a really loud bang but it wasn’t coming from inside my house it was coming from Harry’s place and if I’m sure it sounded like a gun. Then again I also could have been dreaming, it was probably just a dream and I got up to get some water from downstairs when I heard it again. I literally jumped of my chair, knocking the water over myself, which was really refreshing to be honest.

I ran outside and saw the guy who attacked me run away and he was holding a gun. I quickly hid myself, hoping he wouldn’t see me because that would be an encounter that I wasn't waiting for. When he was out of sight I ran over to my neighbours and was shocked to see the damage and Louis hunching over Harry. Harry was screaming orders at the guys to take care of that guy I guess.

I cleared my throat and that’s when everyone in the room froze.
