How I saved One Direction

'' Open it. '', he ordered.
With shaking hands, I opened the box and looked at its contents. Inside are pictures and samller box. I took a couple of them and on each were Zayn and Perrie. On the first one he has a big smile as he hugs her and she hides her face in his neck. On the second one they walk together holding hands. They are happy. And so on each following. I touched the smaller box and look at him asking for a permission. He nodded and I took it. I examined it carefully before I open it. It's pink and at the top is the greasy. When I open it I am surprised. Inside is the ring. Ring made of white gold with a diamond on top. They were engaged!

I finally understand why he is so sad. They were engaged but she left him. Or he left her. My heart tightened at the thought of that and I closed the box and returned it in the other box. And I closed her too.
'' I'm sorry. '', I mumbled
'' That's why I didn't want to say anything. Because you'd be feeling sorry for me. I don't need pity. '', he shouted, and turned his back to me.
'' Zayn. '' I got up and approached him.
'' I don't feel sorry for you. I just want to talk. Come on. ''

I pulled him to sit down. This is going well. He didn't say anything but he showed me. Sometimes a picture says a thousand words. Because of this he wants to leave the band. Now that I know I'm gonna have to learn how to deal with it. And he too.
'' Tell me. ''

I touch his hand to encourage him to tell me. He twitches but doesn't moving it. And this is progress.
'' There's really nothing to say. It's hard. '', he said and relied on the sofa.
'' I know it is. I understand you. tTwo years ago I went through the same thing. '', I admitted to him. To the person I hardly know but I trust. At least I hope that I can trust him. I hope he realizes that I am first and foremost a fan.
'' Really? '' I nodded immediately.
He looked at me with surprise but also with interest. In my mind I made a plan.
'' Tell me. ''
'' If you tell me too. '', I said.
'' No way. '', he immediately said.
'' Then there is no way that I'm gonna tell you. ''

We sat in silence a few minutes. It gets boring and I hope he will give up and agree to talk both.
'' Okay. We ask and answer alternately . You agree?? '', I nodded happily immediately.
'' I'll go first. '' He turned to me.
'' How long have you been together? ''
'' Two years. '', I immediately responded.
'' And me three. '', he said sadly. Looks like he's going to tell me more answers than I'll give to him. But I knew this so it doesn't count.
'' Why did you break up? '' I decided immediately cut to the chase.
'' She thinks I cheated on her. ''
'' And you didn't? ''
'' No. And that's not fair. Now I'm going with two questions. '' He's drunk but is still very conscious. It is not fair.
'' What was his name and why did you break up? ''
I swallowed and bit my cheek from inside. True, I was sixteen then but it hurts. There's still pain like that day.
'' His name was Noah and we broke up because he cheated on me. '', I said quickly.
'' How are you so sure? What if he's not? ''
'' It doesn't matter. My turn. '', I said.
'' Tell me. I'm agreed to do this shit. ''
'' I've seen it. I caught them. Happy? '', I shouted and stood up. A couple of tears fall down my cheek on T-shirt. I opened an old wound again.
'' I'm sorry, because I asked you. ''
I continued to walk and then I stumbled on something on the floor, but before I fell he grabbed me by the arm. I guess that my clumsiness is back. I didn't heard that he got up. I pull my hand out of his.

I went to the window but now he follows me. He stands next to me and leans against the wall. I think that he slowly becoming sober. Now he walk carefully.
'' It doesm't matter. I forgot about that. '', I lie, although I know that he probably can hear it.
'' I believe. '', says sarcastically. I knew that he can hear it in my voice.
'' Well, that jerk is out of my life and that's only important. He's gone. You see, I'm fine. '' I wipe the tears and smiled. Although it's miserably it's the best I can.
'' Come here. ''

He pulled me back onto the sofa. I didn't protest because this is the first time that he's kind to me since the moment we met. He pull me and I put my head in his lap. I was supposed to console and advise him. But he do that to me.

The rest of the night we spent talking about everything that happened to both of us. I find out a lot about him, but also he find out a lot about me. I just hope that after this he'll change his opinion about me. I don't want to deceive them. I just want to not lose the only thing that gave me strength last two years. I don't want to lose them because I can't stand it one more time.

I fell asleep on his lap and for the first time in these few months I slept peacefully. Without worries. This night is really affected on me.
