4 Days Later

Niall’s POV
‘’Mom, you’ve been holdin’ him for an hour. Stop being a hog.’’ I laugh lightly as I sit down beside her on the couch. ‘’Oh hush! You’ll be able to see him all the time!’’ She says as she glances over at me with a smile.

We literally just got home about thirty minutes ago. The car ride was crazy. Taylor was being a brat, Tori was whining and the baby woke up because of them and God, the mix of that plus the baby’s crying and screaming drove me completely insane.

Insane.

‘’Nana!’’ Taylor calls out as he runs down the stairs. ‘’Don’t run down the stairs.’’ Jana tells him as she passes him, she was heading upstairs for some reason. She didn’t tell me, but whatever.

‘’What is it, love?’’ Mom smiles as he reaches her and puts his hands on her knees. ‘’Are you ‘taying with us?’’ He asks with a smile. ‘’Yes, she’s staying for a few days.’’ I nod to him. ‘’Hush Daddy! I’m talking to Nana, not to you.’’ He sticks his tongue out.

‘’Watch your mouth.’’ I say sternly, not really kidding at all. He just ignores me and continues on with his questions. ‘’Do you like my baby?’’ He asks. ‘’Yes. I love your baby.’’ Mom smiles.

‘’My baby is pretty. He looks like Mommy, not like Daddy.’’ Taylor says. ‘’Well.. yeah.’’ Mom just smiles at him. ‘’He looks like Daddy, not Mommy.’’ I correct him. ‘’Nuh Uh!’’ ‘’Okay, Taylor. Whatever you say.’’ I smile before standing up and going on a search for Jana, and for Tori, I haven’t seen her either.

I wasn’t even half way up the stairs when I heard the sound of vomiting. Great, just wondering. I sigh to myself as I hurry up the rest of the stairs. I get to the top and I see the source.

Tori.

She was on her knees in the middle of the hallway, just outside our bedroom. Jana was kneeled down beside her. ‘’What happened?’’ I ask as I start to walk towards them. Jana doesn’t look at me, but she replies, ‘’She just got sick.’’

Once I reach her, I go to the other side of Tori and hit my knees, putting my hand on her back. Poor girl, she’s always sick. Its like an every other week type of thing. But I didn’t mind taking care of her, its just a lot to handle at once now though.

‘’You okay, Princess?’’ I ask in a whisper. She just shakes her head. Jana stood up and stepped down the hallway and disappeared into the bathroom. ‘’My tummy hurts.’’ She mumbles lightly. ‘’Where at?’’ I ask.

Tori grabs my hand, like she usually would, and she places it literally on her stomach, not where I figured she was hurting. But yet, it wasn’t even that time so I don’t know why I thought it would be in the place I thought.

‘’Have you ate anything?’’ I ask. She just shrugs, and before I could realize it, she was throwing up again. I gulp lightly, trying to keep calm for her sake. I just hated the fact she was throwing up on the nice grey carpet. But.. whatever. She’s more important than the flooring.

‘’She ate a few cookies earlier for breakfast, but that’s it.’’ Jana say as she returns with a few towels. ‘’Take her to the bathroom, please.’’ She asks. ‘’Alright. C’mon baby.’’ I grab Tori by her waist as I stand up. She groans a little as she lies her head on my shoulder.

‘’Its okay..’’ I whisper a little as I rub her back with my hand. I reach the bathroom quicker than I thought I had. I go in, the light was already on. I sit her down and she hurries to the toilet.

Jana’s POV
‘’Where’d Niall go?’’ Maura asks me as I sit down on the couch after changing Tristan’s diaper upstairs. ‘’Um, Tori got sick and he’s up there with her.’’ I mumble, keeping my main focus on the baby in my arms.

‘’How’s um, you know, Tori’s.. issues going?’’ She asks curiously. ‘’Same as always. She hates it, and we hate it for her.’’ I sigh, I hated talking about it. But that was with any one besides Maura or Niall, because they understand completely.

‘’Everything’s going alright, with the marriage and all, right?’’ She says. ‘’Oh, yeah. We’re doing really good. Perfect actually. Well, not perfect. But still.’’ I say, confusing myself just a tad.

“I’m happy for you then. Let me guess, its not perfect because of fights or arguments, huh?’’ She asks, a light smile on her face as I look over at her. ‘’Yeah. Its like an every other day thing for us.’’ I sigh, annoyed at the fact of that.

“As long as there’s no physical things happening like that then I’m sure you will be okay.’’ She says. ‘’Trust me, there’s no hitting or anything. If he ever hit me, and I’m sorry to say it like this, but I’d kill him.’’ I smirk a little as I look down at Tristan, he was almost asleep.

‘’Good. Never let a man control you. Trust me love, I’d be on your side if anything like that ever happened. Does it worry you? Do you ever.. think about it ever happening?’’ Maura asks me.

I didn’t mind talking to her, I loved her. She was my mother, because I don’t have a real one. So she’s basically all I have when it comes to a parent. “Yes, actually. Niall’s a lot.. bigger and stronger than me and I’m just.. afraid he might.. slip up one day. My worst fear isn’t that, it’s the kids seeing it. That’s what I’m afraid of.’’ I gulp slightly, just the thought of it makes me shiver.

‘’Yeah, I understand. Niall’s been getting more.. you know.. buff or whatever lately. It scares me a tad too.’’ She says. ‘’Yeah, he’s been in the gym a lot.’’ I mumble. ‘’Well, I’m sure everything’s going to be okay. I’m sure he loves you too much to hurt you.’’ She assures me.

‘’Lets hope so.’’ I smile a little, but only a little.

Maura doesn’t know.

Harry doesn’t know.

Selena doesn’t know.

Liam doesn’t know.

Sophia doesn’t know.

Tori doesn’t know.

Taylor doesn’t know.

But I know.

I know something those gossip magazines would love to know. But it’s a shame they never will.. and neither will you.
