Dear Hanna

I Know You've Gone Too Far

Chapter 6
Dear Hanna,
I know we have never met but I do know that you are something special. The way dad talks about is something he does daily. I awe over your guy’s love story and hope that is me one day. Dad is scattered now. The news are now talking about him and your sister in love. He told me that it was love but his heart only belongs to you.
Dani has taken care of me for eight years and has done a marvelous job. No need to worry. But last night they did have a affair. Dad may not have thought I heard it but I did. Through thin walls its pretty easy to hear noise. I worry, because I always picture you with him. Dani is a wonderful girl but shes just not for dad. She left this morning so now I am writing this letter while dad is strumming his guitar.
Love you to the moon and back,
IRELAND HORAN

IRELAND’S POV
I delicately slipped the note into a cream envelope. Dad looked at me with those eyes and asked, “What you writing.”
“Something.” I said.
“Is it for a friend.” He said.
“Nope.” I said, shaking my head.
“Well I need to know.” He said, “What is your problem anyway.”
“Dad it was what happened last night.” I said, while gaining tears in my eyes.
“Me and Dani are just friends.” He defended.
“Oh so sex is supposed to be a thing friends do.” I said.
“I thought you were too young to know about that.” He said.
“Well I know what it is because of Harry.” I said.
“Oh ya that man.” He said.
“It’s just hard to see you be with someone other than mom.” I said wiping my tears.
“I know. Last night was stupid. Dani and I should have never thought of love.” He said.
“Ya think.” I said.
I went up to my room and listened to “Stars” by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Mom loved this song. She even wrote it in a note she wrote me. My dad then came in and sat on the bed. “Hey want to go to the park.” He said ruffling my hair. I nodded as I put on my shoes and grabbed my purse.
At the park, it was quiet when we walked by. People thought I was the weird celebrity child. I wasn't so proud of that. I looked over and saw my dad as he sat by a woman with blond hair. She seemed beautiful and familiar.
