Chapter 6

When I get home my mom asks why i’m home so early. I tell her everything.
“Oh honey, i’m sorry. You did the right thing by breaking up with Calum, though.”
“I know, but Mom?”
“Yes sweetpea?”
“I think I like Luke too.” I say quietly.
“Oh Sarah, what have you gotten yourself into?” she says. “Just be ready for a bumpy road up ahead.” And with that she walks away into the kitchen. I still have no idea what to do. I do love Luke, but I also love Cal. She’s right this is gonna be a bumpy road.

After dinner, I decide to text Ash and ask if I can come over and that I need to talk to him. He says that it would be fine.
When I get there, Ash opens the door and lets me in and leads me to his room, where we can be in private.
“Ash, I have no idea what to do.” I say quietly, breaking down and crying as soon as he closes the door.
“Shh. It’s okay.” he says, calming me down. “Now tell me what you have no idea what to do about.”
I take a deep breath and say “I think I really like two different guys.” I say barely audible, yet still understandable.
“Cal and Luke?” he asks. I nod. “Well, tell me what you like about Cal.”
“I love how he’s never afraid to be himself, how he doesn’t care what other people think about him. His smile is precious and he always makes me laugh.”
“Okay, now how about Luke?”
“I love Luke’s eyes, you get so lost in them. How cute it is when he gets nervous and scared.”
“I think you really like Cal, and only have a crush on Luke.” says Ash, like a know-it-all.
Oh my god. I do. I really like Cal, but what am I going to do about Luke? He still loves me and I can’t just date his best mate. I’m going to ask Luke if he’s gonna be okay if I date Calum. I just don’t know when.

I’m staying at Ash’s for the night. I just feel like I need a friend right now. Ash shows me the guest room and I make myself comfortable, but something's still missing.
“Hey Ash” I call down the hallway.
“Yeah” he says, popping his head out of the door to his room.
“Wanna watch a movie? I brought my laptop and I have Netflix.”
“YES!!” he screams, jumping up and down, then running into my room and laying on the bed. I snuggle in next to him and ask “What movie?”
Before he can say anything I say “WAIT! I KNOW!”
“What?” he asks.
“MEAN GIRLS!!!” I scream, laughing.
“HELL YES!” he screams back. I put the movie on, but i’m so comfortable laying there snuggling with Ash that I fall asleep.
I wake up and Ash is gone. Where did he go? I tiptoe downstairs to see Ash making pancakes in the kitchen.
“Hey Sleeping Beauty!” he screams as soon as I step off the last step.
I groan. “Hi Ash.”
“Want some pancakes?” he says putting some on a plate and handing it to me without me even answering.
“Thanks?’ I say, laughing.
“You're welcome!” he replies, giggling like a little girl. God, why in the world does he do that? It gets kinda gay sometimes. I laugh out loud at my joke.
“Ash, when you giggle like that, you sound so gay.” I tease.
“Well, who’s to say i’m not?” he says strangely serious.
“ASHTON IRWIN!!” I scream.
“What?! I’m not! Don’t worry.” He laughs harder than before. Geez he scared me so much.
