Never Imaginable

I woke up to arms around my waist. I grab my phone that’s on my nightstand and check the time. 11:30. “Cody?” I ask, trying to wake him up. “Hmm?” he says a minute later. “Can I go make breakfast? Or is that against your rules?” I ask. “Against my rules” he says. Haha, um, no. “Codyyy” I whined “Can I please go make breakfast? I’m hungry.” I asked and even added in a puppy dog face. “Nope.” he says, popping the ‘p’. Hmm, aha! “I’m never going to kiss you ever again if you don’t let go.” I finally say. He thought for a second and released me. I jump out of my bed before he could grab me again.

I pulled my hair into a messy bun and went downstairs. I got out eggs, bread, bacon, butter and started cooking. Like 10 minutes later, Hannah came down. “Need some help?” she asks. I could use some help setting the table up.. “Yeah, can you set the table up?” I ask “Sure.” she says. When the food was done I put the food on plates and poured milk into three glasses. “CODY ROBERT SIMPSON! GET YOUR BONEY ARSE DOWN HERE FOR BREAKFAST!” I yell up the stairs. I sit down at the table and started eating. Then Cody came rushing down. “What’s for breakfast?” He asks “Chicken blood” I say sarcastically. He makes a disgusted face. “It’s Eggs, bacon, and toast.” I firmly say. He nods his head and sits down and starts eating.

“I’m done.” I say “We were done like 20 minutes ago. We waited for you, slow poke.” Hannah says. I roll my eyes. “Well, I’m sorry I down choke down my food. I like to actually taste my food.” I say. “So, what are we doing today?” I ask. “BEACH” Cody and Hannah scream. Ok, looks we’re going to beach. I go to my room, take a shower and once I was done I grabbed my swim suit from my dresser. When I was done I put a pair of shorts on and a loose t-shirt. I went downstairs and Hannah was sitting on the couch. “Did Cody go home to get changed?” I ask. Hannah nods her head. “Ok.” I say. I put my headphones in my ear and started listening to Standing In China by Cody Simpson.

Five minutes later Cody knocks on the door. “Come in” I yell, too lazy to get the door. He comes through the door. “You girls ready to go?” He asks “Ready as we will ever be!” Hannah and I say. We head towards the door and I forgot my surfboard. “Wait! Let me grab my surfboard.” I say. I run back in and grab my board and head to the car and I see some blonde chick. Wait. That is Alli Simpson!!

I sit in the front and Cody is driving, and Alli and Hannah are in the back. “We’re here!” Cody says. I smile and look at Hannah. We all quickly climbed out off the car and grab our things. I found a good place to set my things down and grab my surfboard and ran towards the ocean. I felt the salty, cold water on my ankles, then my knees, my waist. When I felt like the water was high enough, I hopped on my board and start paddling towards the waves. I was waiting for a nice sized wave to come and Alli, Cody, and Hannah came over to me.

“Hi.” I say. I look over to Alli. she smiles “You must be the girl Cody talks about.” She says. I blush and look down at my surfboard. Then I looked up to see a fair sized wave. “I call the first wave.” I quickly say. When the wave came close I stood up on my board. Feeling the rush of adrenaline. This was going to be a good evening.

“ICE CREAM!!” I yelled. Yeah, we are going to the ice cream shoppe to get some ice cream. When we got there we all order a ice cream cone. I got a mint chocolate chip, Cody got chocolate, and Hannah and Alli both got vanilla. We chatted and ate our ice cream.

“We should go, I need to get some sleep.” Cody says. “Yeah, me too, I’m tired. I need to get some sleep before we have to wake up for your tour.” Alli says. What? Cody never told me about him going on tour. I can feel tears coming and I try to hold them back, but before I know it, I’m crying and Hannah come gives me a hug. “Hannah, can we leave? Like now?” I ask. Cody trys to say something but stops. I look away.

*Four months later*

How could Cody do that to me? Why wouldn’t he tell me this before? Why didn’t he come and apologize? Does he not care about me? I feel like someone just cheated on me and left me broken-hearted. My eyes are red and puffy, I also haven’t eaten in days since we all went to the beach. My phone starts ringing and I look over to it and finally, to my surprise, It’s Cody. Should I pick up? No. He ignored me, pushed me aside and left me. Of course I’m not going to answer it.

I fell asleep and was woken to a soft knock my door. “Come, in.” I say. “Hey, Lee.” Hannah says. “I left you in here alone for days now, it’s time I talk to you.” She says. “I’m not 13” I say. “Yeah, I know, it’s just I feel like I lost you, like you’re completely gone.” She says. Oh, I didn’t know I was effecting her...I don’t want to that. “Oh, I didn’t know I affecting you.” I say. Once again, my phone rings. I look at the contact, It’s Alli. Yeah, we swapped numbers before we (Hannah and I) left.

“Leah, answer it. Please? For me?” She asks. I look to the phone and her. No. I’m Not going to back down. The phone stops ringing and a text message shows up. I opened it up. Hey, even though I said I will not answer the phone, don’t mean I can’t or won’t answer text messages.

I sighed and picked up my phone and called Alli. I know I said I refused to call, but it’s not fair. I should at least talk to Alli. “Hello? Leah?” Alli says over the phone. “Hi.” I say “Leah! Oh my gosh, Thank you for calling.” She says. “Yeah, your welcome. So what did you want to talk to me about?” I ask politely. “Oh. Well, I want you to talk to Cody.” She says. No. I know I’m acting crazy and you are probably like omg is girl is weird. I know, but he didn’t tell me that he was going on tour. Like seriously. “Um, Alli, I don’t know.” I say. “Come on, please? For me?” Alli Pleads. “Alli..” I say trailing off.

“Listen, Cody loves you. Cody hasn’t been his self. He needs you. Please?” Alli says. I sigh “Ok, Fine. Put him on the phone.” I say “Hello?” Cody voice booms through the phone. “Um, Hi.” I say. “Leah?” He asks “Yeah, it’s me.” I say. “I’m really sorry. I know I should have told you. I’m really sorry. Please forgive me.” He asks. I don’t know should I?
