Once In a Lifetime

The sightseeing was lots of fun. New York is a beautiful city. And there is no one else I’d rather see it with. I think my favorite moment was H holding me on the top of the Empire State building since I’m scared of heights.
We stop at a few stores on the way to the gallery. Most of them were a little too pricey for my budget but it was fun to look around. Harry offers to buy me a couple things but I tell him no thanks. I don’t want him to spend his money on me. He only buys one small item at one of the stores. I’m not sure what it was,I was still browsing around the store. But I look up to see him at the register and I see him put the item in his jacket pocket. I kinda just forgot about it after that.
We arrive at the gallery, Harry introduces me to his friend. He is very nice, and very talented. Harry and I stroll around the gallery and take in all his work. We are having a great time discussing the artwork. Which ones we like best. My favorite is a modern take on a beautiful beach scene with a couple strolling hand in hand. Harry asks why its my favorite. I tell him its because to me it represents a couple escaping from the crazy everyday world to this private beautiful beach where they can just focus on each other. Harry quietly says. “That sounds amazing.” Then he excuses himself to go speak to his friend. I would imagine Harry is buying one of the paintings, to support his friend.
