The Beginning

Chapter 2

Harry's POV

Holy crap! I thought I was gonna miss my flight. Turns out the assholes in security found a heavy metal object in one of my bags, so they held me for question. After about fifteen minutes of yelling at them and speaking with my lawyer, they finally let me on the plane. I ended up having to sit in the second-class cabin though, because some idiot decided to take my seat in first class. The first open seat I saw I took. I was exhausted from running to get to the plane in time, so I just plopped down as soon as I could. When I finally caught my breath, I looked up to find myself sitting across from three very beautiful girls. Judging by their faces I'd say they were about 18 or 19. The one that really caught my eye though, was the girl in the middle. She had blonde hair with the tips dyed pink, and she had the most beautiful eyes. The other girls were pretty too. The one on the left looked to be the oldest, 19 I'd say, and she had golden hair that tumbled down in beautiful curls. The last one, the youngest probably, had soft brown, wavy hair. I smirked when I noticed the one with the pink hair checking me out, and she must have noticed, because a slight blush crept onto her cheeks.

The girls were rather silent, which was kind of weird for me, I mean usually there would be some screaming going on near me. The oldest was listening to music and sleeping, the youngest was reading "West Side Story" and my girl, er, the one in the middle was drawing in a notebook whilst messing around on her tablet. After about three hours we got off the plane to wait in an airport to have our plane switched. Two hours later we finally began boarding another plane, and I decided to sit across from the girls again. The eldest shifted uncomfortably in her seat when I sat near them, but smiled at me and nodded in my general direction. She cranked her music up full blast and I heard it. I struggled to hold in my laughter because she was listening to our third album, Midnight Memories. How did she not notice who I am. I mean, yeah, I'm wearing a hat and I haven't taken off my sunglasses, but, apart from that, it's kind of obvious who I am. The two girls on either side of miss pink hair had fallen asleep, so I saw this as my chance to talk to her. I nudged her leg with my foot and she looked up from her drawing. Damn, she's beautiful. She smiled at me, and got up to come sit next to me. "Hi." She said, smiling and running her fingers through her hair. "Hey." I replied, trying not to starr at her. Honestly though, I don't know I was so infatuated with her, I've met a lot of pretty girls, but, for some reason, she seemed to take the air right out of my lungs. And yes, I know that sounds stupid, but that's what it felt like when I looked at her. She even had on a cute beanie that brought out her eyes. "My name's Brooke." She told me, bringing me out of my daydream. "Hm? Oh, I'm Harry." I said, regretting the way this had started already. She gave a light chuckle and looked at me. "I was wondering why you were keeping yourself so, ah, covered up." She said, laughter showing in her eyes. "I was wondering when you would notice," I began, "I heard your friend there listening to our music." "Yeah, we're pretty big fans I guess. Not wackos though." She responded. "Well, that's pleasant to know." "You're welcome." "Uh, thanks?" I said, puzzled. She read the expression on my face and laughed, a whole hearted one this time. Her friend stirred and kicked her in the leg, but just turned over and pulled her sweater closer. "So, what are your friends names?" I asked her, gesturing towards the two girls across from. She pointed to the one with the blonde hair, "That," she said, "Is Rose." She gestured to the brown-haired girl, "And that is Ivy." Nice names, I thought to myself. "Where are you off to?" I asked her. "London. Ivy finally turned 18 last month, so now it's legal for all three of us to go." She replied. "So, are you staying for a while then? Or are you just on vacation?"
"We'll be staying for quite some time, we're moving over actually. Turning over a new leaf."
"Troubled past?" I asked, hating myself the moment I let the words slip from my lips.
"You have no idea." She replied, trying not to act awkward. "Hey, um, sorry, I didn't really mean.." She cut me off before I could finish, "Forget it. I know you didn't mean any harm." It suddenly hit me that for the first time in a while, I was sitting down and having a normal conversation with a normal girl. It felt good. "I don't mean to rush things, but, uh, could I have your number?" I asked, probably blushing. She looked kind of stunned, but said "Sure" anyway. Then our plane touched down in the London airport.
