He Tells A Story

Mist's POV




"No, I'm serious," Lilly laughs.

I didn't tell her about what happened last night with Niall when I came back to the hotel room because I know she'll feel the same about the situation as I do. She also told me that she left when we were watching movies and spent the night with the lovely Harry Styles himself.

Josh. That boy has a way with my heart. I feel fond of him already, I know I love Niall, but I can't allow him back into my life. Everything is such a mess at the moment. Maybe I should allow Niall custody over Yaden, but what if he does what he did last night? I can't go through that again. Especially not every time Niall pays a visit to Yaden. I sigh at my thoughts. What am I going to do? I feel effected by Josh already, but I don't know him and that's what scares me. Can I actually take the chance and allow him in my life?

"I'll get it!" Lilly walks to the door. "You're back?" She asks the anonymous knocker.

"This is Emma," I smile at his voice.

Lilly looks at me with a smirk "I'm Lilly. Please, do come in," she steps aside making room for Josh and his sister.

Josh walks into the hotel room, smiling at me as soon as his eyes meet mine. "Emma, this is Mist," he gestures to Emma as soon as they reach me. She's about 10 years old, and she has some of Josh's features.

"Hey," I smile at her.

"Hello," she shyly looks down.

"This is Yaden," I look at Yaden sitting on my lap, hiding from the new stranger.

"Oh my gosh he's so cute!" She sits down next to me, tickling Yaden.

He laughs at her and holds his arms out to her.

"Can I pick him up?" She looks at me with excitement.

"Sure," I laugh, handing Yaden over to her. After making sure that she has a tight grip on his body, I stand up and walk to Josh, he embraces me in a tight hug in seconds.

"Hey beautiful, I missed you," he whispers.

I've really missed having someone like this.

"Josh!" Emma gasps.

"Yes?" He cocks her an eyebrow and takes a seat on the sofa.

"He looks like Niall from One Direction!" She squeals in excitement.

Josh looks at me and sighs. "Sorry Mist. She really likes One Direction,"

"It's fine," I sit down next to him. It is not fine at all, but I don't need them to know that.

"Alright guys, let's go," Josh exhales sharply as he takes Yaden from Emma's arms.

"Hey buddy!" He pokes Yaden's belly. "Happy birthday!"

"Hi," Yaden giggles at him. "Fank you."

I smile at them and pick Yaden's baby bag up.

"So Josh?" Lilly opens the door for us.

"That's me," he smiles at her.

She laughs and looks at me, handing me the key to the hotel room. "God, you are handsome! Do you have a brother?" She walks out of the room following Josh.

I laugh at her and shake my head as I close the door behind me and lock it, putting the key into Yaden's baby bag.

"In fact, I do," he chuckles. "But he's 7,"

"If he looks like you, he'll do," she nudges his shoulder.

My baby boy and best friend seem to absolutely love Josh. If we can get to know each other better, this might all work out perfectly. Whenever I'm with Josh I forget about Niall. That's good, right?

I walk to Josh's side and smile at him. He securely puts one arm around Yaden's small body, holding him close to him, and takes my hand in his. Butterflies swirl in my stomach as I blush at his small gesture.

I look at Emma and Lilly walking in front of us, they're talking and laughing about something. My eyes dwell to the end of the hallway, and of course, there stands Niall and Harry.

"Harry!" Lilly shouts as she wraps her arms around his neck after reaching them.

I sigh and hold onto Josh's hand tighter.

"Hey, it's alright," he smiles at me. "I'm here. He won't come near you or Yaden, ok?" His words comfort and encourage me.

Next to Josh, it feels like I can take on anything the world throws my way.

"Lilly," Harry chuckles as he swings her around.

"Oh my God!" Emma shouts as she does a jogging session on her spot. "You're One Direction!" She squeals.

Niall looks at me then at Josh, and then at Yaden in Josh's embrace. His face frowns and he gives me a sarcastic smile, then goes down on his knee to meet Emma's eyes.

"Yes, we are. And what might your name be?" He asks her, looking at me with a smirk.

God, he's so childish right now.

"I'm Emma! And that's Mist!" She points to me. "And that's my brother, Josh, and the baby is Mist's baby! Oh my gosh he looks just like you!" She covers her mouth with her hands as she blabs to Niall in excitement.

Harry walks to me with a smile while Lilly follows him.

"Good morning, love," he kisses my temple.

"Hey," I smile at him.

"I'm Harry mate," Harry holds his hand out for Josh.

Josh leaves my hand and shakes Harry's hand. "Josh,"

A soft hand takes mine again, making me smile.

I notice Niall's disapproving look at our locked hands, but ignore it.

"Hey buddy!" Harry kisses Yaden's head.

"Hawwy!" Yaden yells in excitement. "It's my bifway!" He tells Harry.

"Really?" Harry gasps. "Happy birthday buddy!"

Niall's face turns to no emotion as he stands up from his knees, leaving Emma behind. He slowly walks closer to Yaden and Josh, never breaking eye contact with me.

What is he doing?

"Hi," Niall smiles at Yaden.

Yaden reaches for Niall's face and fluffs his hair, making Niall and I both laugh.

Niall looks to me with a smile and I cover my mouth, regretting my laugh.

"Happy birthday big boy," Niall smiles at Yaden.

"Who you?" Yaden frowns at him, holding tightly onto Josh.

Niall's face turns hard because of Yaden's gesture. He shakes his head and reaches around his neck, taking a thin chain with an amulet from his neck. He puts it around Yaden's neck, adjusting it to the right size.

He can't do this...

As if Josh is sensing my uncomfortness, he pulls on my
hand with a smile. "Alright guys, let's go,"

We walk to the elevator of the building, but Niall calls Emma back. He whispers something in her ear and she smiles brightly, nodding. She whispers something back and he smiles at her then hugs her.

She hops back to us with a smile.

But Niall, he's standing there with a very, very sarcastic smirk on his face.








"Diweywand!" Yaden yells as we enter the gates of Disneyland.

We all laugh at him and wait for our program.

"Emma what did Niall tell you?" Josh frowns at his sister, asking the words which has been haunting me.

"He wanted to know where we're going!" She smiles as she licks her ice cream.

He shakes his head taking the program from the middle aged man.

"Don't forget! One Direction will be joining us today!" Someone announces over an intercom in a highly annoying tone.

That's why he asked Emma..
What the hell is he going to do now?
