The News
Chapter 7
My mom laid her head on the table with grief. She closed up with her arms around her head. I patted her back for some comfort. "Mom I'm going to the bakery to figure things out." I said. She said nothing. I ran out to the car and drove to the bakery. The windows looked like crap. They hadn't been washed in a while and Jenna said she would do it. I shut my door. I went in and saw people at the tables. Not bad for mid week.
I went to the back and saw Louis and Jenna flirting. She was licking frosting off his finger. "Jenna, can i talk with you." I said. "Ill miss you" she said to Louis. "Ill miss you more." He smiled back. "Hahahah cute but not funny." I said.
"Okay first of all no boyfriends in the bakery while working. No flirting in the back room. I mean PDA is not okay." I said. She stood there staring at me. "And you were suppose clean the windows one week ago!!" I said, "do you duty. I walked off in a hurry. "Well maybe you don't know what love feels like," she said, "maybe if broke your heart once and you wont give it one chance," she said. Love did hurt me in the past. I grabbed a bag of flour and threw it at Louis. White powder flew through the air. "What the hell." He said. "Maybe you should freakin leave." I said, as he ran for the door.
Later that night i laid on my bed. Thinking of my day. The stress was a human toll on me. I stared at the clock. The minutes ticking down the rest of my life. My head went into my hands as a wiped away the tears. The world was not my oyster.
"Honey, I have to tell you something." Said my mom as she opened the door.
"Okay," i said in between cries.
"Its about the results." She said.
"Maybe it will make me feel better." I said looking up.
"Well i hate to say it but you have Leukemia." She said as her tears ran down.
My face scrunched up and i put my head to my knees. "Mom I'm gonna die." I cried.
"Honey you don't know that." She said.
"Why didn't they tell me at the hospital." I cried out louder.
"Because it was the wrong time, wrong place," she said.
Now my life would end. Would Niall love me?
