Year Two

Skylar's P.O.V
I couldn't help it, I was worried about Harry. He wasn't replying to any of my calls, texts, or Skype messages. Since there's a 14 hour difference between us, its 3 a.m. here, and 1 p.m. there. Here I am, outside of Luke's house with my feet in the water and my phone pressed against my face.

"Harry?" I ask, wondering if he even picked up the phone.

"Yeah?" He said after a moment of silence, I bit back a smile as butterflies swarm in my
stomach.

"How are you? Why are you ignoring?" I blurt out, face palming myself.

"I'm okay," he began. "why wouldn't I be, Sky? You chose Luke over me, even though he cheated on you."

"Are you going to bring that up in every conversation I have with you? Look, I'm sorry. Maybe calling you wasn't such a good-"

"No! Wait," he sighed, "you're right, I do bring it up every time I talk to you, but only because I
want you to realize that he's not right for you!"

"Than who is, Harry? You?" I hiss, running a hand through my hair. All that comes from the other end is silence, I pull the phone away from me ear and see that we're still connected. "Goodnight." I whisper before ending the call and pulling my legs out of the water, slowly resting my head on them and closing my tired eyes. I really need some sleep..

"Sky?" I nearly jump out of my skin at the sound of Luke's voice, I crane my head around and see him standing there in nothing but his skinny jeans. "Why're you up so early?"

"I couldn't sleep," I mumble, unfolding my legs and walking over to him, wrapping my arms around his waist and snuggling my head into his chest. "why are you up?"

"I noticed you weren't in bed, so I came looking for you." He said, pulling my closer to him and resting his chin on my head. "might as well watch the sunset since it'll rise soon." I nod at the idea, smiling and pulling back.

"Can you sing for me?" I ask, grabbing his hand and swinging it between us.

"Sure," he smiled, "let me get my guitar." He quickly ran back inside, smiling brightly. I walk over to the grass around in front of the pool, letting out a breath and shivering slightly. I hear Luke's footsteps come from behind, so I turn around and find him with his guitar, a blanket, and a jacket. "here." he hands me the jacket, before setting his guitar down and laying the
blanket out in front of us.

"Thanks," I quickly slip on the jacket and flop down on the blanket, facing Luke with a smile. "what are you going to sing?" I ask, biting my lip softly.

"Its a new song the boys and I wrote, its called Beside You." And with that, he began strumming away on his guitar.

Within a minute I was all packed up

Luke and I never looked away though the whole song, I wasn't sure if this was a dream or not, it was too perfect.
"How was it? Did you like it?" He asked nervously, setting his guitar down and pulling me towards him.
"It was awesome, Luke! I loved it," I whisper, kissing his check before resting my head on his shoulder. "and I love you." I felt him take in a sharp breath.
"I love you too, Sky." He whispered before pressing his lips to mine, I smile through the kiss, only pulling apart when I feel the warm rays of the sun hit out skin. "so, what do you want to do today?"

"I've been thinking," I begin, smiling shyly. "about getting a lip ring."

We ended up going to sleep around 7 a.m., and woke up 4 p.m. Luke said he knows someon who could pierce my lip, I decided to get my lip ring on the left side of my lip, since Luke's is on his right. Once we're there, I nervously bounce my leg as we're waiting for the women to finish up with her other client.
"You don't have to do this, it hurts." Luke warns, grabbing my hand.
"I know, but I want to." I smile.
"Okay, Skylar? I'll see you next," A heavily tattooed and pierced women says, her bright red hair almost glowing under the lights. I stiffly stand up and walk over to her, following the women as she leads me into a room with a black dentist chair in the middle. "so you're just getting one piercing on your lower left lip, right?"

I slowly run my tongue over the piercing, hissing slightly as it begins to hurt.

"Jeez, Sky. You handled that better than I did, I nearly passed out when I got mine," he laughed, his eyes glued to my newly pierced lip. "it fits you." I smile shyly, letting out a little noise when the ring clanks against my teeth. "you'll get used to it, don't worry."
