Rachel's P.O.V.

The next few weeks passed by suprsingly quickly and before I knew it, it was mid-term break. Of course we had a week of exams before the break which meant very little time for socializing. It got to the point where I only saw Skylar in the morning and at night before she went to bed. Any free time she had she spent with Luke. It wasnt just me she was being distant with - it was everyone. Even Ashton told me he had barely had a conversation with her in forever.

And Harry. Poor Harry. It had gotten to the point where I was almost wishing that they actually were a couple behind my back. At least then maybe he wouldnt be so miserable all the time. Because of exams and Luke, Skylar seemed to have no time for him at all. And it was obvious to everyone but her that he was heartbroken.

Thats why, I decided on the night my exams finished to head over to his room and check on him. Skylars exams had finished the day before mine so she had already left. She was staying with Luke's family and it was a pretty big deal considering it was her first time meeting them.

Lizzies exams didnt finish until two days after mine did so she opted to stay in the room and study. And so I ended up walking to Harrys room alone, carring a tub of caramel ice cream. I didnt care if he didnt want to talk about his feelings - he had to.

I knocked on his door loudly when I arrived and of course, with my luck, Louis opened it. He was only wearing a pair of jeans,leaving his chest exposed. I once again felt my eyes drawn to his large tattoo 'It is what it is'.

"Rach, hey. I didnt know you were coming over" he greeted, flashing me a smile before turning to grab a t-shirt off of the floor.

Harry, who had been watching television, now lay his head back on the couch to look at me.

"Hey,what're you doing here?" He asked, eyeing the tub of ice cream.

"Well you've been really down lately, I figured you needed cheering up" I explained,closing the door and walking over to the couchto sit with him.

"Lou, could you pass me a spoon?" Harry asked,eagerly opening the tub of ice cream. Within a few seconds Louis was sitting on the floor in front of us. After handing both Harry and I a spoon,he dug in himself.

"So.." I began, dipping my spoon in the ice cream, making sure to get a decent amount of caramel. Both Harry and Louis gave me questioning looks. "About Skylar-"

"No" Harry cut me off quickly.

I raised my eyebrows.

"No? Harry you cant just not talk about it. I mean its obvious you like her so seeing her and Luke together must be really difficult for you" I continued, hoping to get some reaction from him.

"Well you know what I'd rather talk about? What exactly is going on with you and Irwin? You seem all too cosy together" he responded.

Not the reaction I was looking for.

My cheeks heated up a little as I noticed Louis was staring at me expextantly too. Obviously waiting for the answer.

"Theres nothing going on with us. Not that that has anything to do with you" I replied quickly.

"Well if theres nothing going on with him then why is he coming for dinner at our place next week?" He asked.

"Mom told me" he added quickly at my confused expression.

My blush deepened slightly but I met Harrys eye nonetheless.

"I told her we were good friends so she told me to invite him round since she didnt get a chance to meet him over summer" I replied cooly.

He didnt seem convinced but shrugged.

"Well he better not try anything" he muttered, causing me to roll my eyes. The idea of me with any guy whatsoever seemed to freak Harry out immensely. What exactly would he have done had he ever found out about me and Louis.

"And Louis'll be there too,helping me keep an eye on him so he better not step out of line at all" Harry continued.

My eyes shot to Louis,who'sface was apologetic.

"Your staying with us?" I asked.

He nodded.

"His family's going to visit some relatives and he doesnt wanna go" Harry explained.

"Oh I see" I replied,trying to sound nonchalant.

This was going to be a very interesting week.
