Ch. 12 Game Day Part 1
Lyric's P.O.V.
I woke up to the sound of my alram clock. i threw the blanket off my body and went to my closet. i change into workout clothes and ate some breakfast. before i left for my run i grabbed my ipod and left. i looked at the time before i left,it was 5:45 and the starts at 3:30 ok i have time to practice before the game. i put my ipod on shuffle and headed out the door.i left the flat and i noticed it was still pretty dark out i jogged to the corner then i started to run. i was on my 5th lap when my phone rang. i picked it up without looking at the caller id.
"hello."
"hey princess" niall said.
oh hey babe what's up."
"the ceiling." he joked
"ok yes but im being serious you're never up this early what's up." i said running by all the closed stores and empty streets.
"i dont know i couldnt sleep i guess." he replied. i could feel he was ruffling his hair something he does when he's lying.
"niall whats wrong." i said sitting down on a bench
"i just miss you lyric."
"i do too ni."
"i havent seen you in days." he said.i sighed
i know after todays game we will go somewhere ok."
"ok but where." he asked
"i dont anywhere but right now i have to go ok ill talk to you after the game alright." i said
"alright i love you."
"i love you too niall." i hung up the phone and i walked the rest of the way home. after i got there i got my stuff and went to the stadium we were playing at to practice.
Niall's P.O.V.
"alright is everybody here yet." liam asked us. we were all at liam's flat to get ready for lyric's game at 3:30(the girls are there to)
"no louis isn't here with the shirts yet." danielle said soon after she said that the door opened.
"alright i have the shirts everybody come and get them." louis said as he handed everyone a shirt which had lyric's last name and number on the back and had our name on the right hand corner on the front of the shirt. we all quickly changed and headed out.when we got there harry gave us our tickets and we entered the stadium.
"whoa." perrie said."just like in the movies" we all looked around in awe baseball stadiums are so much different than football stadiums. we found our seats and sat down. we all bought seats beind home plate so we can see lyric kim and syd. i looked at my watch it was 3:15. soon enough the girls came out and they all stared to talk.
Lyric's P.O.V.
we went into a circle to have a talk about the game and as team captian i was gonna have to say something.
"alright now this isnt our first game ok we've played every single team ok and we are undefeated so far ok and they are too so if we win this game will be the only team to be undefeated ok we can do this ok come on." we stood up in the circle and we did our usual chant
"ok so whos gonna bring that blood and pain!" i said
"we are!."
"i cant hear you WHOS GONNA BRING THAT BLOOD AND PAIN." i yelled
" WE ARE." my team responed
"alright lets go on 3." i said we put our hands in the of the circle
" 1 2 3 ALL-STARS." and our hands shot up and we seperated to go to postions.as i was walking towards home plate i noticed the people behind it.i stopped in my tracks
"jeaus christ." i mumbled i slowly walked to home plate and i was right it was.they were all there even the girls. perrie noticed me first and started waving franticlly at me
"heyy lyric." perrie said loudly so i could which caused everyone to turn and look at me. i gave them a small smile and put on my helmet. i got in my postion and gave syd the signal to start pitching. the first pitch was a strike and so was the second . she wound up and pitched the ball it was another strike. when the ball hit my glove i closed it and got up to talk to sydney. i walked towards her and put my glove over my mouth.
"ok syd just like that ok." i said syd was looking somewhere else i looked in the direction she was looking at and i saw that the girls on the other team were eyeing her. i got in front of her to stop her from looking at them.
"hey come on your ok they arejust trying to get into your head ok we can win alright come lets go."
i walked back to home plate and waited for the umpire.
"alright ball's in ." the umpire said the batter walked up to the plate but before she stepped in she swung. and i could hear the croud gasp because she almost hit my face but i didnt move i turned to the out field and told lindsy center field to scoot back a little and she did.i looked at kassy left field to moved back too.then i gave syd the signal to start. she wound up and realesed the ball.
"STRIKE." the umpire called. i gave her the signal to throw a cruveball and she did
"STRIKE. two strikes no balls."the umpire said.i told syd to throw her a fast ball and she did. the batter made contact with the ball and sent it to out field. lindsy followed the ball and put her gloveup and caught it.ha the batters out.
"OUT." the umpire by second base called
"one down two to go ladies." i yelled. the next batter came up to the base and got ready.i told sydney to throw her a scew-ball. she wond up and threw it. the batter swung but missed
"STRIKE." he called she threw same ball and batter bunted it. addison the second base-man snacthed the ball and threw it to kim before the batter could to the base.
"OUT." the umpire called. the next batter came and got ready to bat. sydney threw a fast ball and she made contacted she swung with all she had and she sent the ball to the fence by the time they had the ball she was rounding second base they were gonna throw it to addison but they didnt. she was going to third and they waited for her to touch third base before they threw it ti me when i caught it she noticed and she slid and i tagged her but i dont think the umpire saw it with the cloud of dust she picked up when she slid. and the croud gasped
